You are right Shabs, its the hardest thing in the world, esp when its your child. When I think of that morning, he sat with his back to me as I left the house, he was eating his breakfast, my last words were, "you know where I am if you need me". Breaks my heart to think of him being all alone, was he scared, did he realize what was happening. It tortures me to think about it, yet I have never felt guil for not being here.

Now.........you have stirred up another memory. I was invited to a friends b/day party and she played that non stop, her name was Sandra Cory and she was posh cos she lived in her own house and the rest of us lived in council houses!

Without being miserable - I really, really want this played at my funeral. I have told my friends that they had better play air guitar and sing this very, very loud.....it is a wonderful song. I also want a karaoke afterwards and everybody has to drink strong cider

I saw a face from the past today when we went down to the castle, a girl from my class at school, another posh un, she was head girl, she pretended she didnt know me, but I knew she did, so I said, "its Susan isnt it?" She hardly acknowledged me, the years have not been kind to her!! MEEOW!!

Brill Trips....thats the part I am dreading about the Osmonds night out next Saturday. My friend is a bit up her own bum and always tells me how I could have had a brilliant career and how I have wasted myself......think I may get drunk before I go

I will wet myself laughing when they play this

That is a lovely Queen song Trips but we are not being sad tonight we are being UMPAH!!

A song from me to you - aptly titled

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 23:15

Jeez, Radio GaGa kicked off early tonight My connection is not being kind and I can't access any of it but tomorrow, tomorrow.......

Haven't caught up on OJs thread but from what you say, I agree......having the opportunity to say cheerio means a whole world of difference to losing someone you love. The shock of losing someone unexpectedly lasts forever and can never be eased. But having a chance to voice anything or nothing before someone passes lets you salve your own soul a little and prepare to be devastated. You can be let down easier.

Trips and Shabs, you are inspirational. And I expect that makes you both feel shit as well. Who wants to be that when it stands for the biggest loss? Colin Fry says death is the biggest lie we are ever told. I believe him.

I have had a private one to one reading with a local medium called James Byrne. He is so accurate that it leaves me like this not sure how he does it but I dont care....Trips he told me all about a friend of mine...a person I have told you about. Got his name right and everything..and he has an unusual name.

shabster · 18/05/2008 23:24

Quite like Galdys though Trips and Frumps....it sounds a little Harry Potter dont you think

triplets · 18/05/2008 23:24

Shabs, they should have you on Desert Island discs
