Momma, there is no Scoobydoo mystery, honest! DP was an MD and an Investment Director in private equity. Their line of business changed and he strongly disagreed with the future plans. And so he resigned last Summer. He now does consultancy working from home mainly but travelling as and when the need arises. He hasn't ruled out getting a real job again He was very, very lucky in his early working life and so he is the young boy working at old boy level. Meanwhile I continue to be the housewifey. I sacked the staff and I scrub my own floors on hands and knees Contrary to popular opinion I have never set foot inside a chopper.

PMSL. I truly don't know where that came from!!! I think HM assumed Scotland was just one massive bit of land with my castle in the middle!!!! I have a spare bed but no land and no glen and no loch and certainly no roaming hills (although our noo hoose will have a fine view of the Pentlands).

triplets · 18/05/2008 23:30

Ha Ha girls - It would be like this

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 23:36

The first time I saw Wet Wet Wet I went with a friend on a bus to Glasgow. My mum and dad felt sure I'd be safe on a dedicated bus........ But we decided to hang around the stage door. And hang around. And hang around. And hang around. We saw nothing except a blacked out car from a distance leaving at speed. When we finally gave up and returned to the car park, the bus driver had given up on us and was halfway home to Edinburgh.

My friends dad had to drive through and pick us up and we got home in the wee small hours of the day

Our parents were fuming. We told them we had come straight out of the concert and that the bus driver must have buggered off home early PMSL PMSL PMSL

OH I LOVE Robin Williams. Shabs, are you me????

shabster · 18/05/2008 23:40

I stood in line for tickets for Rod Stewart when I was about 15. All night I camped out...with my first love Malcolm Bennett (pig that he is) every hour, on the hour, I saw my dads white van with his decorators ladders on the top, drive past!!!! I love my dad...but he wasn't keen on me standing so close to Malc. Dad has got over it now but Malc dumped me when we were both 17 so Dad has had time to come to terms with it!!

triplets · 18/05/2008 23:41

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 23:43

Right. I must sleep. DT2 has a nippy bottom tonight (there is always something that prevents a few hours continuous sleep in my lfe). I will leave you all with much love and wishes for peaceful sleeps all round.

Remember, when you can't be with the one you truly love................Google the ones that make your heart beat OUT OF YOUR CHEST with desire. Tis the only way.
