Frumpster - about replying honestly in threads - I normally do especially at beer o'clock just before Radio Ga Ga opens on the multiples.

I can stop a thread just by looking at it ROFL and I dont give a flying whatnot

Can be especially cutting on stuff like domestic violence or AIBU.

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 18:56

Right, I have two sets of teeth to brush and one to supervise.

Two bottoms and faces to wash and two bodies to dry and dress. And one to supervise in the shower.

Two stories to do, followed by wees and kisses galore, and one set of homework reading. Then one chapter of "The Folk of the Faraway Tree" to read.

Then a glass of wine to pour, a breakfast table to set, three sets of everything to lay out for the morning, including laundry and shoe polishing and a dinner to cook for one

Then I could chat with my lovely pals before kissing three sleeping heads around the midnight hour.

Does that all sound ok?

There will probably be some crisp munching and some other jobs in between as well. Heeeellllooooo

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 18:59

Oh Shabs, I'd love to....but its far too early to be truly honest I sometimes can't believe the stuff people worry about!!!!!! And then I remember I worry about a speck of shit on the end of a leg belonging to a teeny tiny, slightly deformed, brain bent, ant. And I keep my words to myself.

shabster · 18/05/2008 18:59

ooooooooohhhh Frumpster - The folk of the faraway tree......right I have washed my own bits, got my flannel nightie on, have brushed my teeth, have got my legs crossed and my arms folded......Ready Frumps bring on the mighty Dick and Fanny and whatever land is at the top of the tree - Im ready for it

shabster · 18/05/2008 19:03

I have to read Richard and Freda to him

He just came round and said 'dont even tell MN that I love the faraway tree - Im nearly 11'

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 19:19

I love the Faraway Tree and I'm 35 and its on its second time round for me and I will still be insisting upon it reading it to the DTs when they are ready for it too! Love quality kids books me. Send Tomster my way, we'll be in heaven. Enid Blyton rocks, even after all these years!

(I usually write that in my notes to DP "even after all these years"

Is Tomster a Roald Dahl man as well?

TiggerTonkerTruck · 18/05/2008 19:22

Shabs tell the Tomster theres nothing wrong with a bit of F........

NO!!! I can't do it!!! The poor boy is way too pure

I love the faraway tree and the enchanted wood,o.k for very different reasons, but I do love the way that they were written...pure genius!!!!!

FG you are right!!! Tony Stockwell it is!!! I must marry that man right now!!! I have much more interesting RL friends on the other side than I do now,so I need to be in touch

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 19:23

Do you think Tomster is having a transition moment? My DD1 is 7 and used to get blackheads on the side of her nose. She has progressed onto whiteheads and I am beside myself. Its not right so young right?

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 19:24

Does Tony Stockwell wear pink suspenders? IFKWIM.......

TiggerTonkerTruck · 18/05/2008 19:25

F.G I'll come!!! As long as I can bring lashings and lashings of ginger beer and thickly buttered pieces of bread

Twas the famous Five and Secret 7 for me.
I sooooooooooooooo wanted to be George

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 19:26

Stories......laundry.........kissing.......it all beckons........later girls, later,

TiggerTonkerTruck · 18/05/2008 19:27

I think they might be a tad pink FG, but its that bloody accent!!! Alright my darling, bear with me

I am sure that they pay Colin Fry to make people cry he always has to push them right to the edge i reckon he is on commission...£50 a punter!!! LOL

TiggerTonkerTruck · 18/05/2008 19:29

begone with you fair maiden, I have to organise the zoo

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 19:32

Ooooh, jam sandwiches for me.......

My dad used to make homemade jam. From fruit he grew in the garden or that me and my brothers would pick from a fruit farm. It was heavenly. The smell as we got ready for bed. Often he'd have a tiny plate of pre-jam jam. The tester that showed it wasn't quite ready. He'd let us have it hot, on bread or toast just before bedtime. AAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaarrrrrgghhghghgghgghhh! I think I've lost it tonight. I must get DP a job in London again. This isn't right.

HarrogateMum · 18/05/2008 20:30

Ladies

being around snorris has made me consider the thought that I might not be done on the kid front........

Snorris - I blame you for this feeling!!

snorris · 18/05/2008 20:37

Evening!

Mmm! Homemade jam. My mum used to make Rhubarb jam. I could just eat some now on crusty bread.

Thanks again for a great w/e-I've managed to recharged my batteries after a manic couple of weeks (although I did go back to bed not long after I got home ).

Congrats LG&T! I've got my scan on 3rd June so I'll find out then whether I'll be needing an 8 seater .

snorris · 18/05/2008 20:38

Me? I'm innocent

MarsLady · 18/05/2008 20:40

Oh my lovelies I wish I could have come. But it was good that I didn't because I had a client go into labour (that took it out of me) and now I have another one who is trying to labour 4 weeks early and I have no cover for the children! Grrrrrrrrrrrr

triplets · 18/05/2008 20:41

Hiya trips - Im fandabidozey thank you very much. Tommy says to tell everybody he likes Roald Dahl as well but not to tell anyone else. He's in the bath now rapping along with Buster Rhymes on the radio One minute Magic faraway tree and next minute rapping about how he might kill his mother if she keeps nagging!!!!!!!

Im too old for this job but cant find anyone to accept my letter of resignation.

triplets · 18/05/2008 20:50
