Mornin hen

Timesofhope · 18/05/2008 11:40

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have to say that a car is a long way off yet, one cos neither me or OH can drive and we couldn't afford one even if we wanted to! We will eventually need one though so we need to keep our options open.

NowMaLarkin · 18/05/2008 12:20

We have an 8 seater, huge boot Toyota Previa. Up for sale...

We will be needing a 9/10 seater

oooggs · 18/05/2008 13:14

LG&T - so no idea when you are due!!!! will they early scan you for a due date and if it may be 2/3?

iamdingdong · 18/05/2008 13:35

OMG LG&T congratulations

at those meet up girls I wanted to be there I have had a couple of hours home alone though, DH has taken DTs to a party for the DS of a friend of his, so I figured he'd enjoy it more than me! they'll be back and wanting to polish off their party bags any minute now though, I'd better pretend I've been doing something constructive

shabster · 18/05/2008 14:09

G&T - you, my friend, are a piggin' star!!!! How wonderful, how 'meant to be' WOW - Tommy has just been reading over my shoulder and he is now doing a kind of a jig and shouting 'WOW how brill is that!!' I am thrilled for you. I know it must be a shock but the very best kind of shock

shabster · 18/05/2008 14:13

Back later - just dishing out dinner - oops sorry Lunch - forgot I was amongst Southerners and quite a few posh folk

tkband3 · 18/05/2008 15:27

Just got back from our wonderful meet-up (picture on my profile). Had a fab time - all the girls are lovely. We will do it again, and more of you will come next time . Had a great time mooching round the shops yesterday afternoon, then a really good dinner last night. No salsa clubs to be found and without Mars to lead us astray, we were all in bed relatively early - too grateful to have the possibility of undisturbed sleep to stay up too late . HM and her friend had to leave after brekkie, I last saw snorris and estar heading in the direction of the disney shop . I was going to follow them, but despite having looked forward to my 'weekend off' for a long time (and the fact that MIL is staying), suddenly had pangs of missing my girls so headed to home, only to find the house empty and everyone out for lunch when I got here .

Still, just time to post on here (and catch up with other things, like OJ's thread, which has had me in tears) before they get home.

LG&T, we talked about your lovely, amazing, exciting news last night and I think we are all in awe of you!

TOH we have a Renault Grand scenic, which fits 3 stage 2 seats across the back row of seats and has the big boot for buggies (I have had 2 doubles and one single in there before!). I'm sure it would fit 3 baby seats as well.

They're home now, back later.

HarrogateMum · 18/05/2008 16:48

Awww tkb - I had such a fab time too!! Girls it was fab fun, bit of shopping, a great meal (well done tkb on choice of venue!!), lots of good conversation and a great nights sleep (well, for most of us!). As tkb said, no salsa-ing but we have already agreed we must do it again (and I WILL BE THE BOSSY ONE AS USUAL).

Also - all the talk of babies (and LG&T's news - congrats!!) made me a bit broody.........yes I even said to DH when I got home, I might consider another one. To which he grunted "good" before he ordered me off to make salad for the bbq he had invited my parents round to

TOH - we also have a REnault Grand Scenic and we have the boys in stage 3 (I think) seats and DD in a stage 2 seat. ONe boy in the front and one boy in the back with DD but could fit them all in the back if required..........

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 16:56

Glad you girls had fun!

I'm just home from the airport. Me and the bairns took DP, he's had to go off to China Don't really know why I'm We used to live like this every week. I was fine until we said cheerio. Then, once he was going through security we walked away and I had big welled up eyes. DD1 said "are you crying mama? ......because you have a red nose"

He's only away til late Wednesday night

On the plus side, I saw Colin Fry last night. He was really good. For one heart thumping moment I thought I nearly got a message but.........it seemed to mean something to someone else as well...... ah well, nother time.

Right. Is it wine time?

HarrogateMum · 18/05/2008 17:16

twas wine time approx 2 hours ago 'pon return from the meet up (for some strange reason I felt a bit ill last night and had approx just over 1/3 of a bottle of wine........soooooooo not me on a normal night out!!)

So....who's up for a meet up in the autumn then...???

TiggerTonkerTruck · 18/05/2008 18:09

I am sooooooo at you going to see Colin Fry,although I must admit I have a thing for the blonde one(South African accent I think)...god whats his name..he works with Colin Fry and Derek Accorra............thats gonna drive me nuts now!!!!

Well i have done it again, gone out for the day and returned with animals...this time two G.Pigswhat is wrong with me? Why can't I just see animals and not take them home.......we are going to the zoo soon,I hope I come home from there empty handed.....although I do like a nice tortoise............

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 18:16

Tony Stockwell?

I have seen him with Colin Fry quite a few times now. I like him loads, really humourous and I think that is very important when it comes to the nature of their work

Colin Fry came on stage wearing a kilt. You can imagine...... the crowd adored it In the words of my granny "I could just eat him"

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 18:18

Last night he brought on TJ Hicks who I really don't know. She was really adorable. Funny and sensitive and brash and tender all in one. It was she who uttered words and names I thought were for me. But, as I say, it meant something to someone else too........

If its for me, it won't go passed me.....

shabster · 18/05/2008 18:33

Evening girls.

Cambridge have been beaten 1-0 by Exeter and I know that Rubes will be mightily fed up about it.

Never mind Rubes, come over to the blue side of Manchester and join me in supporting Manchester City - tis character building, teaches you how to handle dissapointment and prepares you for the worst that life can throw at you!

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 18:45

Shabs, this is why I know we are twins.....tis the same for our national team And we must keep smiling about that, so, Osmonds

frumpygrumpy · 18/05/2008 18:46
