hi triplets - I have just left directions for the rest of the troublesome lot multiple crowd to join us over here

Neenztwinz · 10/05/2008 21:57

Thanks for advice on other thread re. BFing the twins. I have just started latching them on as soon as they murmur - they only stay on for 5/10 mins but hopefully the time on the breast will increase and the length of time between feeds will too.

triplets · 10/05/2008 22:34

Yes but where is everybody? Saturday nights are always quiet, I sulk then thinking everyone is out enjoying them selves and I am not, cannot remember the last time I went out on a Sat!

Shabs...........spookier and spookier..2p!! So glad your day was ok, its hard, I know!
D`y know Shabs I am still getting that fag smell? Its sooooooo odd, unless as you say the kids are having a sneaky drag under the duvets!!

H will still not do as he is told, been to the allotment today for 4 hours, weeding. just over two weks for major surgery! Apart from that he is doing fine, we are back to snapping at each other, you almsot get lulled into a false state of normality, then remember that this is serious and we have a long road ahead.

So..........no good hanging around tonight for a little late night music, tut tut !

The feeding is going great! My milk has come in with a vengeance - it is so satisfying to be able to feed them so well. DH says I look like Pamela Anderson (well, I was a 34A before pregnancy and only 38B during so any improvement on that is going to blow his mind!). Then he said 'I wonder what Pamela Anderson looks like when she is BFing!'

They are still latching on for 10 mins at a time, sometimes every hour, sometimes every two, so I am not at all concerned about that. Theo did a big poo as well this morning - he hadn't had a good poo for nearly two days and I was worrying a bit that he wasn't feeding as well as I maybe thought. MW said it was normal for them to go one or two days without pooing before milk came in, but it was still good to see his nappy this morning!

We had a good night - I got three hours sleep (in three separate one-hour spells). They were quite restless the rest of the time but I feel great so obviously that is enough. I am being so well looked after by DH though, he won't let me do anything except sit and feed (my mum told him that was what he had to do!) so obviously that is helping loads.

Just one question, if they are latching on for 10 mins, how shall I alternate which goes on which breast? I have been putting Theo on the right for three lots of 10 mins, Esther on the left for three lots of 10 mins, and then swapping them. Is that OK?

triplets · 11/05/2008 11:39

Feeling very fed up today, very!

Hiya Jackie.

LOL just seen our Em - it is official...she looks like she is going to burst!! Tall, very skinny frame with a giant watermelon up her tshirt

Dan says if this weather stays so hot he is going to buy her a paddling pool and just let her lie in it!!!

I carried my twins all through a very warm Summer - it was such a joyous experience

She just left muttering something about 'stretched and sore undercarriage'

shabster · 11/05/2008 15:05
