Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Chopster · 12/02/2008 07:25

I have an SM on facebook - gruesomefoursome on here, last name starts with mac? Now either she hasn't been around lately or she has namechanged and I missed it!

shabster · 12/02/2008 07:38

morning chopster - Picture the scene!

Peter Kay in drag? Aye Im having that
A large touch of Dawn French
A frigtening smidgin of that new woman in Eastenders who is the rough birds flatmate and fancies Garry (Heather or Hazel)

but......with illusions of being aloof, sophisticated, very tall, slim, long auburn straight hair etc etc

Would just love to walk past a building site and get wolf whistled....instead of them shouting 'who do Man City play on Saturday shabster?'

Yes it includes flights but I'm dreading unexpected bills. Ah well... we only die once I suppose. The irony is that we were about to start a funeral plan for him. Now we'll just increase mum's.

I saw Throckenholt about. Might go and drag her in to say hello!

shabster · 12/02/2008 08:08

Morning Mars - you have my full sympathy about funeral costs.

My MIL died last Summer. My DH is one of her seven children. They split the cost of the funeral between the seven. Bearing in mind we, as a couple, for the first time in 30 yrs are claiming benefits (DH had bad accident at work 5 yrs ago and is now registered disabled) The youngest child insisted on the best coffin to a cost of £2,500. We have been paying the eldest child money every week since and feel like the poor relations.

Now we are moving onto headstone - FGS - they now need £200 from us! Without being as bitchy as I could be - MIL left all seven kids (when youngest was just 3) and went off with a bloke because she wasnt happy at home!! She treated me, and all her in laws, like a dog poo she had stood in. I object (although silently) strongly to this 'pay everything for the mum who abandoned you' idea.

shabster · 12/02/2008 08:15

The good outcome of the MIL saga is that we have both sorted out life insurance. I have already made a plan about my funeral - down to the music etc - have also told my DS1 spend as little as you can on the coffin etc and you and DS4 go on holiday afterwards and blow all the rest.

Incidentally my DH is the only one of the seven kids who isint working - the rest all have well paid jobs.

Think I might be cremated and get DS's to go to Faliraki and spread my ashes along the beach - just think how many sunbathers would have a bit of Shabby on them!! That appeals to my sense of humour - apologies to the non sarcastic readers of this message

HarrogateMum · 12/02/2008 09:19

morning all!

shabster · 12/02/2008 09:24

Morning HM - how the devil are you this fine morning?

HarrogateMum · 12/02/2008 09:35

good thanks shabster - had a good long sleep after a very trying day at work yesterday and its sunny so looking forward to taking the kids to the duck pond this morning (if I can drag them away from the tv, bad mother that I am......). The living room (or playroom as teh DTs like to call it) already looks like a creche - jigsaw pieces, dominoes, trains, cars, books, playing cards everywhere.

I will remain serene and not notice it.

shabster · 12/02/2008 09:39

Deep breathing - nice thoughts HM

In and out, In and out.

HarrogateMum · 12/02/2008 09:51

and..........relax.

Yes thats better, thanks Shabster. I think a 3rd cup of tea of the morning is in order. Looks like its just you and me! Shall I pour? (mug's a bit chipped, hope you dont mind).

shabster · 12/02/2008 09:53

I thought all mugs were chipped!

Oh yes (sound like the Churchill dog) it's me and thee against the world.

still giddy from Nikos the beautiful one e mailing me last night - had to go outside for a sneaky cig after - had palputations.....

estar · 12/02/2008 09:57

And me.

Off to mums and tots soon tho. Usually I have to force myself to go, but this morning the boiler has been off so its f-f-f-freezing! Back on now but will take a while to reheat the house. I am sat under a pile of twins watching their beloved Dora

iamdingdong · 12/02/2008 09:58

morning, thought I heard the kettle boiling!

shabster · 12/02/2008 09:58

like that estar - 'sat under a pile of twins' that is ace - you ok love - apart from being freezing?

HarrogateMum · 12/02/2008 09:59

Estar - love your pic on FB, you arent allowed on the meet up anymore, you are too good looking.

So Shabs - when is your next holiday to Faliraki?

shabster · 12/02/2008 09:59

Morning dingdong - how's your belly for spots?

shabster · 12/02/2008 10:02

HM - hoping end of June - have to be around at beginning of June to meet LEWIS DANIEL - WHOO HOO.

We always manage to go back each year - somehow - think may put DS4 on e bay to raise some funds.

Owner of hotel gives us the apartment (in his words) at 'specially deally pricey cause you are my family'

I have found a little bit of paradise there -

HarrogateMum · 12/02/2008 10:06

ah how sweet - "you are my family".

Morning dingdong - I have managed to get the telly off due to Amazon delivery with 7 books for me (used to be about a months worth of reading, now about a year) and 5 books for the boys, they are now happily engrossed in Flashing FIre Engines, Roaring Rockets etc etc etc. Its half term here dingdong I take it it isnt for you up there? Is yours next week?

iamdingdong · 12/02/2008 10:08

yes our half term next week - so if I can persuade DTs to be ill all week I'll get 2 weeks off

shabster what???

shabster · 12/02/2008 10:12

Best part of Nikos (the beautiful one) e mails last night was - 'hope you ok, i think of you every night and cannot wait to serve you - do you still like me to make you screaming orgasm' Ha ha I had to wipe my sweaty moustache after that one!!!

Nikos (TBO) is half my age, twice my height and half my weight!! Te he. The only person he e mails is his girlfriend (now ex) in Newcastle - so he e mails me in the same way.

shabster · 12/02/2008 10:12

dingdong - what you say what about (god Ive gone Greek)

Chopster · 12/02/2008 10:28

shabster · 12/02/2008 10:36

Chopster (ha ha are you a relative shabster - chopster) What is the assignment about

HarrogateMum · 12/02/2008 10:44
