She's missing us too. She's gutted that her PC isn't happy and doing her best to get back here.

Now... anyone know any cheap flights to Jamaica? Looks like I'm going to the funeral.

fizzyt · 08/02/2008 23:35

shabster · 09/02/2008 02:14

burping and FARTING!!! I had a very nice friend once with a posh car - he was male and the car was very, very close to the ground!! He kept giving me a lift to school to pick up DS4. Each time we got to school, I got out of the car and proper trumped (farted) but he quite liked me so he giggled. TRIPLETS - tell any of them the truth and thats it - I will never scour your head for nits ever ever again

shabster · 09/02/2008 02:19

Hope you south-westerly types have a fab meet up today! Will be there in spirit! I have a weekend full of parties to come, one today and one tomorrow, sadly not for me and DH, but for the boys! Whats everyone else up to - you up yet shabster??!!

shabster · 09/02/2008 08:54

ooohhh my god - morning Harrogatemum - I believe an imposter, using my name, was on MN very early this morning.

Whoever it was is quite clearly not mentally well.

I am willing to offer a reward for the early capture of this strange one.

On reading the messages this person also seems to know a few Greek words - sagapo - i love you in Greek.

HarrogateMum · 09/02/2008 09:04

oh shabster that happens to me all the time, someone impersonates me and sends incriminating texts and emails late at night......usually it seems under the influence of the demon drink........

Right, wheres that bottle of retsina, wahey!!

Oops just realised its only 9am.

Shabs - are you on Facebook? If not it could be your fourth website addiction - I know what you mean about Genes Reunited, I love it and have got way way back on my family history through it. Anyway I'm digressing, FB has quite a few of us multiple mummies on it so if you're not already on there, join up!

theslownorris · 09/02/2008 09:07

Blimey shabster,do you ever sleep?!

Welcome fizzyt,you're in a good place .

Well, the sun is shining here, let's hope it continues as we travel west! I've printed the directions from the good old AA. My girls are looking forward to it,I just hope meeting us doesn't traumatise everyone too much!
See you soon!

shabster · 09/02/2008 09:10

My eldest DS got me addicted to Facebook a couple of months ago.

The only problem was that several of DS3 school friends have contacted me on there. I was distraught when his primary school girlfriend appeared. I realised that for the last 16 years since loosing him I have lived in my own little bubble and seeing all these beautiful 23 year olds on my monitor made me weep buckets.

I enjoy it now but it was a real reality type moment. They all keep in regular contact and it always makes my heart skip a beat when they send me photos.

HarrogateMum · 09/02/2008 09:14

I can imagine that would be quite surreal Shabster, well I mean I cant imagine it at all and wont pretend I can, but hopefully you know what I mean. I think its a great site, but there is always the feeling that your life is being laid bare for everyeone to see, if that makes sense? Still in this day and age it seems to be the done thing!

Anyway have a look in the Mumsnet group page and you'll probably be able to find us all from there!

HarrogateMum · 09/02/2008 09:14

oh and morning norris! Have fun today!

shabster · 09/02/2008 09:26

hmum - will have a peek in later - have to get on the computer before DS4 gets up - once he is up and running he takes over completely!!

Sometimes feel a bit of an imposter on this thread cause of circumstances. Also get very envious when I see new twins - how special are you made to feel when you have a multiple birth - its a very wonderful time.

OMG - DS4 on his way down now - was hoping for another couple of hours freedom

HarrogateMum · 09/02/2008 09:30

Shabster you should never feel like an impostor - you are still a multiple mum in every way. And a hilarious one at that!

shabster · 09/02/2008 09:36

Ta my love - Just seems so long ago - think DS1 and his lovely lady being pregnant has also brought ridiculous fears back into my mind. Although on their 20 wk scan DS1 insisted they spend forever looking at baby's heart - 100% fine!! My DS has cried at every appointment and both scans so he must be feeling same as me.

I have had to have few stern talks with him. God knows what he will be like watching his little lad being born

shabster · 09/02/2008 09:42

DS4 is threatening me with half nelsons and suchlike (he goes to wrestling club every week) so better come off here - see you lovelys later

MarsLady · 09/02/2008 09:53

welcome fizzy! Shabby you lush! lol

triplets · 09/02/2008 10:22

Shabster, you are a dirty stop out! Me, I was a good girl, tucked up in my bed with my Bournvita. Sleepover went well, all 4 kids asleep by 10.45pm and not a sound until 7.15am! Beautiful day here, can see France so clearly...........oh I do like to be beside the seaside, tra la la la la
Have you noted a note of gaiety in me...love it when my youngest brother comes down, we are all off in less than 2 hours to a pub in the country, 18 of us, secret birthday lunch for my Mum, she thinks she`s going to Ashford shopping! Then to my other brothers tonight for a party, so a lovely day to look forward to. Feeling better, not so sniffy, but got bags under my eyes making me look 94! Better get going, maths homework help needed. Have a lovely day, and welcome to our latest victim

triplets · 09/02/2008 10:23

That should have been a
getting as Dizzy as Shabster!

theslownorris · 09/02/2008 10:26

marslady - was telling my friend about doulah's and she said she really hoped you were called Tallulah. Tallulah Doulah. OK you had to be there - it was funny about 1.30 this morning.

Triplet - 'show off' you can see France clearly I am well impressed. Just looking out of my front window and I can clearly see the coastline of Rhodes - yes I am lying - cant quite see the ends of my arms yet.

shabster · 09/02/2008 11:16

Not that I would ever give DS alcohol (cause he is 10). Dont think he could handle that as well as the cigars.

triplets · 09/02/2008 11:25

Shabster, I can recommend the hair of the dog............or cat as in our case, right, off to the pub!
