Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Chopster · 08/02/2008 10:23

What I need is that episode of aunty mabel(?), pippin and the poos!!

tkband3 · 08/02/2008 10:28

Hi HM . Always takes me so long to post!!

Chops, I remember when DD1 had this problem - she would go and help herself to a pull-up, put it on and then take herself off to poo before coming back and asking to be changed! I used to change her saying 'oh what a lovely poo, what a shame it's not in the loo, then you would be able to see it as well' . Psychological tactics didn't work with her though - she just did it when she wanted to, but with her I didn't force the issue, as she'd had such problems with her bowels before her coeliac was diagnosed. With the DTs, I wasn't putting up with any cr*p (excuse the pun ). If they were potty training, we were going all the way!!

Chopster!!! That episode is sooooo greatespecially when it is shown just before tea time

"Look at all the lovely poo...oh look theres an old tampax"

Well Poppy absoloutely flipped out(takes after her mum there)when she got her Scooby prize.
She kept saying over and over "Mummy I can't believe it. Mummy I can't believe that Scooby picked me"
And then she sat down and wrote him a thank you letter all by herself!!!!!!! Bless!!!!!!
The bug kit kept her occupied for ages!! I got her some 'fake' bugs until the weather is a bit better, then we can go out hunting. I we are going to have so much fun.

Momma, thanks for the cold petal Next time close yer window when you sneeze!!!!

Estar, poor, poor you. I remember when we all came down with Flu together and I mean the proper flu(hallucinations, sweats, sick)and I thought we would never come through it all on our own.So difficult to manage with kids when you are ill yourself

I hope the other poorlies are getting better too.

Mars congratulations!!! Will we see you on lots of documentry programmes then about childbirth?
"Doula Doohda what are your comments....."

estar · 08/02/2008 16:31

Okay, I have never seen that episode of Come Outside. I'm putting a series link on until I find it

Tigger, have you heard from twinsandtriplets recently? Is she still surviving?

FRUMPEEEEEEEEE! We miss you!

Shabster - 9pm, channel 4, tonight!

Chopster · 08/02/2008 16:32

Chopster · 08/02/2008 16:36

heh heh, found it! Estar, here

I will have to show that to rav now.

twolittlepigs · 08/02/2008 17:00

Hi everyone! Hoping I can get some answers/reassurance from those who have been there done that...

Can someone please explain why everything seems to have gone backwards six weeks?!?!

The boys are eating more frequently, waking 2hourly at night, unsettled +++ between feeds, difficult to put down to sleep, don't settle themselves anymore when they wake during the night....

We had so little sleep last night .

Could this all be due to another growth spurt? Or am I doing something wrong? I'm sure I have enough milk....

MarsLady · 08/02/2008 17:03

So my father died!

MarsLady · 08/02/2008 17:04

twolittlepigs.... growth spurt! Another due at 11 weeks. Remember the mantra... this too will pass. This too will pass!

twolittlepigs · 08/02/2008 17:33

Oh Mars! So sorry to hear about your dad...so glad me and the boys 'let' you go back in nov . i'm crap with words of wisdom at the best of times...i'm not even going to attempt to come up with any in my current state...

another growth spurt at 11 weeks?!
you never mentioned there'd be a 9 week and 11 week growth spurt as well as the 6 wk one!!!! the books just say 6 & 12!!! aaarrgh

shabster · 08/02/2008 17:33

estar - cant wait for 9pm even though I have watched that show loads of times. my mum is turning into the gran at the wedding - she dropped DS4 off home last night and, with her anorak hood up and tied tightly, said 'Going to get home now love and get settled' In my head I went 'get curtains drawed and put big light on.'

twolittlepigs · 08/02/2008 17:57

< returns with dt2 attached to other boob>

turns out there is no fast forward button....

shabster · 08/02/2008 18:07

twolittlepigs - lol at breast feeding description. I gave it my best shot when I had DTs in 1981. BF healthy DS for three weeks and expressed BM for second born twin who was in hospital really poorly. Hate to admit it but my milk was rubbish after those three weeks - probably due to rushing between home and hospital and feeling very odd myself. I ended up using an eye dropper to feed poorly twin his expressed milk. The hospital said he couldnt come home till he was feeding properly. I was so determined he would come home that I spent hour upon hour feeding him.

Many times I used to call myself Daisy the cow. Chuffed to say a few little ones in SCBU had expressed milk from Shabster

HarrogateMum · 08/02/2008 18:54

shabster you do make me laugh - will you please come to the meet up!???

accordiongirl · 08/02/2008 19:59

What's in the water?! Turn my back for two days and everyone comes over all high-achieving!

Give us an P give us an O give us a P give us an S!!!
Give us an M give us an A give us an R give us an S!!!

Phew that was in intense bit of typing.
And all you sicky twins and sicky mummies, poor poor you, I hate all that, it doubles everything all over again, no? Like it takes a multiple mum to know how twins can suddenly turn into quaduplets! Just all get better NOW!

Hello Shabby, how's t'worms - come to eat thee up yet?
Hello new person, the piglets lady.

We're getting out a bit more now, at 13 months we can go to caffs and sit in high chairs and today we went on our first PLAY DATE and we weren't sick on the carpet. We did grab toys off other baibes a bit but mum pretended not to see. Just call us late developers. I think singleton mums can get into all this stuff more easily.

MarsLady · 08/02/2008 20:16

I used to dread taking them for playdates. Not at all relaxing! It was fine having kids here... but for mine to go to them... I used to dread it. They're much better now but sigh................

They will be having their first party on Monday. It's a pirate party and I've done the N London thing. They're having a puppet show. It's called Henry and The Lollipop Pirates and ends with the children helping the magician fill the treasure chest with lollipops.

So if you don't see me for a while lol

triplets · 08/02/2008 20:47

Blast...............just typed long message and its disappeared into God knows where! So .........take 2!
Marsy........I have to say I am very sorry to hear about your Dad, it is a tricky one though and I admire your honesty. At the end of the day you will do what feels right, xx
Evening to the rest of you motley crew! What alot you are, miss a few hours and theres a whole series to catch up on! Should be out again tonight with the book club girls discussing Cold Comfort Farm, whilst slurping vast quantities of du vin rouge and being fed food I havent prepared, but being the sensible person that I am I am here, nursing my sniffles, and hoping to get some shut eye, but my darling 5yr old niece from Durham is here for a sleepover.............no need to tell you what that means!!Wheres Shabster? So glad you have joined us on this thread me old mate, told you you would soon be one of us Wish the Birmingham meet up was abit later on, would have def tried to go, esp if you were going, we could have shared a room, as I have been told I have the odd snort in my sleep, you being the pal you are would stick a banana in your ear and not mind......and you know I would do the same for you! Glad you didnt get detention the other day, shes tough that Marsy and now that shes been promoted we had all better watch out! If you go behind the bike shed for a crafty fag Shabster I promise I wont tell!

[Mine is Ovaltine but don't worry I have a list of all the alcohol I have 'postponed']

Are y'all meeting up this weekend then?

triplets · 08/02/2008 22:45

Triplets drifts by with mug of steaming Bournvita in her hand, 2 paracetamol and a mini Toblerone as she has no nuts! Night night all, for once I am going to be in bed early, unlike some dirty stop outs, yes Shabster where are you..........down the working mens having a pint of stout, or taking your whippet for a late night walk, mind the ferrets!

accordiongirl · 08/02/2008 22:53

No Pazza, it's a special party for the ones that live a looooong way away across the green rolling hills of the south-west. Not that I'm feeling left out and bitter or nuffink.
