Once again just read a snippet but wanted to say big CONGRATS to Mars . Bet you are chuffed...

MarsLady · 07/02/2008 20:56

The job entails lots of unpaid hours lol

Thank you all. But could you remember to keep your heads lower than mine and where's my spring water fresh from the Alpine spring?

estar · 07/02/2008 20:58

Caught up!

Ooogs -

Pixi - shivery shivery (did you get my FB message, btw?)

Shabster - I am exposing you! I also am a Lancastrian girl, orginally Preston but just moved to Morecambe, and (having been to Newquay a few times too), I can tell you, Bolton is not the Newquay of the north! However, it does have the best cinema around (dh used to refuse to go to the one in Preston and dragged everyone to Bolton instead) and a lovely Chinese restaurant.

"I'll just 'old it round me, we're not goin' far"

And Merly! Con-grat-oo-lations! Hope you're recovering okay, lapping up all the cuddles and sleep you can get, and bravo on Isaac - its ds1's name and I love it! (Of course, Thomas is good too )

MarsLady · 07/02/2008 20:59

Well done Merly

twolittlepigs · 07/02/2008 21:00

WAHOOOOOO!!! CONGRATS MARS!!! So what does the job involve?

Ooogs and estar - hope the bugs disappear soon.

Estar I am so with you on the washing machine! Who says feeding baby/ies while there's a load on isn't multitasking???

Merly - GREAT choice of names! I have an Isaac too! Great job on the BF too.

Better go feed the boys....it's been a whole hour since the last feed...MUST be another growth spurt...

estar · 07/02/2008 21:08

That's so funny, when we had our Isaac (now 6) we didn't know a single other one, but now I've heard of quite a few. I suppose once we did it, the word spread

shabster · 07/02/2008 23:19

triplets · 08/02/2008 04:57

Good morning ladies and note the time.............been awake since 3am with streaming cold Day out in France was ermmm, well I got 3 hours! Left home at 8.15am for the 9.15am sailing, delayed, finally got to Calais which is a 75 min crossing at 1.15pm! Thats 2.15pm french time, had to be back at the port by 5pm for the 5.30pm booked sailing back, guess what, delayed, finally got home at 8.45pm! Greeted with long face from DH, 2 sulky boys, who had been in trouble, and DD soooo excited as she had had a routine eye test and has been told she needs glasses for long distance!!!! You know what its like going anywhere without them, all the organization, leaving all their gear etc, well DT2 had swimming at 5pm, after they had all been to the opticians, he puts his trunks on here and I take clean pants etc with me, got all his gear packed and ready for him, they got to the pool and he had not changed into his trunks, DH cross and told him to wear his clean boxer shorts, no-one would know, but he wouldn`t, so back he came home!! Hopeless! Suppose I had better get back to bed, got a busy day ahead, and feeling yuk!

Hiya triplets - you make me laugh out loud. Been telling you for years you should write a book - hope you are soon feeling better

estar · 08/02/2008 08:40

Morning

Being ill does have its advantages. Right now I should be yelling telling the children to get their shoes and coats on, while remembering something really important that ds1 was supposed to take to school, and hearing the baby poop up his back as we're about to leave the house. Instead, the dcs are huddled under a blanket downstairs and I'm still in bed with baby talking to you. Ah

(To Shabster) "Don't touch that - it's fer waaarden!"
(LMAO off cos my great great aunt actually did have to say that to my little brother every time we went to visit her) (and the seatbelt thing is exactly what dh's grandma does!)

Tigger, what did Poppy say? Dt1 is a huge Scooby fan too.

estar · 08/02/2008 08:42

Ahh - there we go - twenty to nine and the baby just did a massive blast of thunder in his nappy. See, I'm not being paranoid!

oooggs · 08/02/2008 09:02

huge improvement overnight - we all got some sleep!

congrats to mars

thanks for all your well wishes - it is only multiple mummies who know how hard at least two sick babies can be!

pixi - this means we won't be up tomorrow hope he has a great birthday and you enjot your meet up - feeling left out now - but wouldn't want any of you to go through this

Chopster · 08/02/2008 10:03

congratualtions mars, you deserve it!

{envy] of trips, I'd love a day out in France. Maybe I should tell dp I need to take dp as part of her french lessons.

sorry to hear about the boiler pixi, hope it gets fixed asap.

shabster · 08/02/2008 10:12

estar - classic peter kay from my mam last night - 'had to ring you love cause i hadnt put phone back in its holster!!'

If its not one thing its your Mother xxx

tkband3 · 08/02/2008 10:16

Ooogs glad to hear things are a little better for you. Overheard at the school door this morning 'X vomited last night, so if she feels ill today, can you send her home?' Erm, no - keep her at home, so that the rest of the class doesn't catch it you . Don't know what the teacher said, but as it's their policy to keep a child at home for 48 hrs after vomiting, I hope she sent her home straight away.

Pixi, hope things are a little less arctic for you today - has the landlord arranged to have the boiler sorted yet?

LG&T how's your DS?

Estar, have you caught up on the washing yet? . I am currently multi-tasking - load in the machine, while I am on here .

Momma, we tried the Orgran Buckwheat pancakes last night - they were a definite hit with DD1, don't think the DTs liked them though. I did though . Only problem was, I had to make the whole packet of mixture - couldn't work out how to divide the quantities - so I had to throw quite alot away.

Chops, I had a thought about your DT pooing his pants. When my two started training they didn't get the poo idea at all. So whenever they poo'd in their knickers I took them into the downstairs loo to clean them up and put the poo from their knickers into the potty/loo. A couple of times I managed to catch them mid-way (so to speak - sorry if TMI!) and got some of it straight into the potty/loo. It seemed that they were a little scared of doing it straight in the potty, but once they'd seen the results, they weren't so bothered. The first time they managed it, they got extra sweeties and I bought them a present which I then took away when they did another poo in their knickers - so it was then an incentive to get it back by doing the next one in the right place. I heard another Mner recommend having a few bribes rewards () in the bathroom, so that they only get them if they go in there. Anyway, sorry for the ramble - hope there's something useful in amongst it all .

And finally, CONGRATULATIONS to Mars . A friend was telling me yesterday about a friend of hers who's just found out she's expecting twins. Her first is in reception, so she's not new to the child-birth thing, but I've recommended your twin ante-natal classes and your doula services as well .

Hello to everyone else . Better go and get on with some real multi-tasking now .

HarrogateMum · 08/02/2008 10:18

ah Estar and ooogs you poor things - hope all improving in your households sickness wise!! And Pixi - what a bummer about your boiler - I wish I was coming to your meet up, it sounds like great fun! However we have two parties for the DTs this weekends, two of their nursery chums are turning 3 so it will be sausage rolls and smarties all weekend (yum, I LOVE kids party food).

Mars - congrats you clever thing you! Does this mean you will be EVEN busier than normal???!!!

HarrogateMum · 08/02/2008 10:19

hi Tkb!! cross posted there!

Chopster · 08/02/2008 10:21

thanks tk, I think you are right about seeign the results in the toilet - we do seem to be making some headway now. I've been making a big song and dance about waving goodbye to the poos and flushing them.
