RL has taken over a bit this week, DH didn't get his job in sheffield, he's a bit down about it, I'm quite relieved as couldn't face having to sell up by April but he has given go ahead for meet up so get that room booked

I am cursed/jinxed/fedup.

The boiler has packed in. Plumber will be here tomorrow, but for now I have no heating or hot water and it's freezing. Have put an oil fire in DS1/DD1's room, will have to decide later whether to keep in their or move to DTs room.

DS1 woke me up at 1.30 am this morning to tell me he'd wet the bed. Not sure why he did it, but these things happen. What was annoying was that whomever changed his bed last (mum or DH neither will admit to it) put the mattress protector upside down so instead of absorbing the wee and keeping the mattress safe the wee spread up the mat and soaked the top of his bed. DS1 changed his PJs and spent the night in my bed and we left the cleaning up till a more reasonable hour.

iamdingdong · 07/02/2008 20:04

oh god pixi you too is it just one of those weeks?

momma I didn't know you did french too (or maybe I did, and its been buried ) I am really starting to hate teaching it tbh

DYING to find out Mars' news

piximon · 07/02/2008 20:05

Oh Oooggs much love to you and the DTs. I went through similar with my DTs when they were diddy but it cleared up after (what seemed like forever) a week. DT1 liked the diarolite, had so much of it she was the less fussy eater when it came to weaning.

map here Momma/Norris. Not sure if this map is better for travelling from Exeter. When you come through the main gate there's plenty of parking in the front by the activity stuff. We're in the second house along (Honeysuckle).

piximon · 07/02/2008 20:23

lol didn't notice your post momma, busy giving DH list of things to bring from London.

My news: I am now co-vice Chair of DoulaUK, but I won't let it change me. I shall be the same humble me that you've always known!

iamdingdong · 07/02/2008 20:28

oh and CONGRATULATIONS too

estar · 07/02/2008 20:29

Well, guess what happened with ds3's sickness bug? That's right - we all got it!

Dh and ds1 were up all night throwing up, and me, ds2 and ds4 have got it a la Momma style ( you remember? ) which saves on projectile vomit catching but rather inconvenient as the loo is on the 3rd floor .

We've been taking it in shifts today, me and dh, three hours on child duty and three hours in bed. Thankfully the kids have been in a subdued-sit-in-front-of-TV mood all day so they haven't been too much trouble.

The worst bit is not the dodgy tummy but the exhaustion - if I stand up for more than a few minutes I start to lose all feeling in my legs and arms and feel dizzy, and have I already mentioned that the toilet is on the third floor?

It's times like this that I love modern inventions like the washing machine

estar · 07/02/2008 20:31

Oooo, Mars! How exciting!

MarsLady · 07/02/2008 20:32

oh estar... angel!

piximon · 07/02/2008 20:32

lol CONGRATS Mars, I really am so pleased all your hard work is being recognised. Of course it means I now have no hope of securing you for this one's arrival but I'm happy for you none the less.

Momma we want for nothing, honestly. DS1 said he doesn't need presents, just some people to come to his party.

Right my hands are like icicles so I'm off to snuggle under a blanket with dinner and a movie. I'll leave you night owls to it...

piximon · 07/02/2008 20:37

Oh estar, you have my sympathy. The vomiting/dia bug is horrible, I had it just before I moved but managed not to contaminate any of the DCs. DH has never had it and has no idea just how awful it is (therefore lacks sympathy).

Now Pixi my angel... if you miss me for this little one you'll get me for the next! Besides.. I think this one is due in the middle of my truly busy spell.

largeginandtonic · 07/02/2008 20:44

Good grief MARS!!! You clever lady, how fabulous What does the job entail then?

Ooogs poor you, how awful. Are they on the mend?

Estar poor you too! What a nightmare, i have on several occasions marvelled at the wonder of the washing machine. Pure genius. Hope you all feel better soon.

Merly how are the lovely babies? Oh new babies >

Pixi will the landlord be paying for it asap? It is so cold, snuggle up with them all so you know they are all warm and cosy. It is amazing how much body heat a little bundle of you all can make

I am indeed having chicken troubles, the blasted fox has been back. I am on constant fox alert, where is a pitch fork when i need one, or a dh for that matter...
