agree put your feet up woman whilst you can

largeginandtonic · 13/08/2007 16:45

Good grief feet up indeed triplets and twins, i should think i would need to sit down for about 5 years if had triplets never mind twins too!

I have just put some recent pics on my profile of the brood. I'd quite like hens you know, could see myself in a little pinny stuffed with chicken feed (the pinny that is )

menageriekeeper · 13/08/2007 17:52

Evening all. Just thought I'd pop on and see how everyone's doing.

Nothing else to add, but it must get easier cos some of you went on to have others after twins (or triplets!!!)

MarsLady · 13/08/2007 19:21

oooggs · 13/08/2007 19:37

wish I had some to send you

galaxymummy · 13/08/2007 19:38

Can any fellow mumnetters give me the low down on dr richard ferber and how he help please?

GodzillasBumcheek · 13/08/2007 19:55

tripletsandtwins - i don't quite know what to say! Hoping to heck that you have people to help out already let alone when the twins are born. Don't make the mistake i did - if your relatives don't offer help, ask!

MarsLady · 13/08/2007 19:58

I used his book and found it helpful. It was a withdrawal and retreat method that I used with my DTs.

Put them to bed. Go back after a minute. Then after two up to six minutes the first night. Once it got to six minutes it was six minute intervals before returning. The next night you started at two minutes until you got to eight I think.

Worked within a week.

I lent my book to someone, never got it back. Need to use it again as they have decided that sleeping is no longer an option, trashing the bedroom is!!!!

It's all about what cues you give them when it's sleep time. Consistency is the key. hth

Do you have any breastfeeding photos for me honey love?????????

I was wondering who this Richard bloke was (which was why i seemed like i ignored your post, Galaxy ).

I tried this with dd3 - the neighbours decided they didn't like the noise and started making blardy stupid noises through the wall (and totally waking half-sleepy dd3 up)

Hope your neighbours aren't total @r$eh0!es like mine.

largeginandtonic · 13/08/2007 20:12

Evening all. Mars i probably have will have a leetle look. Could take some of Beau feeding tom, anything specific you need? Cant see my norks ending up on page 3 somehow so Mars' website is the obvious 2nd choice

Helloooo ooogs, im in Plym week after next, we could do lunch again? I will only have Beau, so less children than you!

oooggs · 13/08/2007 20:17

what dates would that be LG&T?

MarsLady · 13/08/2007 20:20

That would be lovely my darling. Your photos on the profile are lovely! Still can't get over the fact that you are such a youngster. Still.... it means when your kids are earning you'll be able to get them to send you jetsetting around the world............sigh............ or was that just my dream?

Ooogs it will be 27th im down till the sunday, wahooooo!

Mars im 30 next week > I wouldnt mind if DH was older than me but FFS he is only 26, gah!!!

JuA · 13/08/2007 20:32

Evening All

When are the summer holidays over? - I want toddler group to restart and I want to be able to go out to soft play when it is quiet! I feel so trapped in the house at the moment cos going out with all 3 is a nightmare

On the upside they seem to be fighting less!

DT1 managed to escape from her cot yesterday! I was at work and dh suddenly heard footsteps after he had put them down for their nap! He has now lowered their cots after telling me that they wouldn't go any lower!

oooggs · 13/08/2007 20:49

ideal LG&T we away til 24 then away again on 5th so good timing. I can do lunch weds or thurs (29 & 30) that week

largeginandtonic · 13/08/2007 20:57

Excellent! Shall we say Weds in our usual place? I bet the twins are in highchairs

oooggs · 13/08/2007 20:59

sorted & written in the diary (need one cos lost memory ) will text finer details nearer the time

inamuckingfuddle · 13/08/2007 21:00

evening all I'm back exhausted but relaxed, if that's possible but looking forward to sleeping in a bed rather than on the ground with DT2 kicking me all night

I'd just like to say that I have never heard so many poeple being so nasty to their kids in one space before in my life as I heard on the campsite - and I work in an inner city comp

I'll attempt to catch up but hello to all

largeginandtonic · 13/08/2007 21:01

Sorry JUA, not ignoring you just carried a way with a RL meeting with the lovely oogs

Im with you on the soft play chaos, my 2 oldest are past it now too so they just lurk looking bored. It costs a bloody fortune too, even a stroll on the beech costs a bomb as we get the inevitable "can i have an icecream" x5.

Still at least i dont have to get up and do the school run, heaven!
