FG - what do you mean, impolite? I wasnt showing off!! I was just saying I RAN 4 MILES!!!! I RAN 4 MILES, YAY YAY YAY and some of it was UP HILL!!!

ha ha ha ha ha.

Will be making up for it tonight. Am cooking garlic prawns, followed by rump steak and salad, followed by yummy cakes from the deli followed by cheese. With copious amounts of WINE!!!

where's pezcat? I thought she was joining us!

estar · 11/08/2007 17:40

I did it - I got thru my holiday! Cornwall was actually lovely, contrary to weather reports, and I am now pink but don't care because we had some SUN!

Had some bizarre bleeding episode on Thurs night and so went to the hospital today just in case - spent the usual two hours waiting around, being monitored, and had a painful internal exam, and of course, everything is fine. Not the ideal way to spend a Saturday afternoon but preferable to spending it with the children, eh?

Have to admit to feeling like FG further down though - seriously questioning my ability to raise children at the moment. Ds1 was the ideal child but had also resorted to bad behaviour to be heard and to express his frustration with the other two. Dt1 constantly talks and has picked up some attitude so that he's constantly saying 'whyyyyyy?' and 'ahhh, that's not fair!' to ANYTHING I say, while dt2 still refuses to speak and keeps having public strops. He refused to speak to or listen to any of the helpers at the creche while we were away and now that he realises I am incapable of anything more than a painful shuffle, he keeps taking off so I can't catch him.

AND YET I'M HAVING ANOTHER ONE!

Am I crazy? I suppose six months ago that things would have calmed down by now.

At least dh witnessed it all while we were on holiday and so has a better appreciation of how hard things are at the moment. And it wasn't all bad, we had a great time at the beach and they slept really well every night so we weren't too knackered.

MarsLady · 12/08/2007 19:26

I've been away on a study weekend. I'm knacked!

I have toothache and am waiting for the nurofen to kick in. Need to go to the dentist. Hate dentists so dreading it.

Husband bought a friggin 2nd hand DELL (I thought it was new) and it's been having nothing but problems. So new expense... got to buy a blardy pc 8 months after getting the last one! Currently using laptop with dial up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DTs refusing to go to bed.

DS1 up near Brum on a sports camp.
DD1 watching telly and hating me as I told her I was going to stop her allowance if I find any more food or sweets in her room (she had a mouse....eww............ and I'm not talking pet!)
DD2 in France probably playing on a beach.

Need alcohol.......... though we did imbibe rather heavily whilst I was away!!!!!!!!!!

Need sleep........ to much study.... oh why lie.... too much partying with my fellow students.

Need PC as this blimming laptop is a pain to type on.

Missed you all. Welcome back Jambuttie... stop staying away.

We are also missing PIXIMON!!!!!!!!!!! who needs to get herself back here.

So OVERRUN, THROCKENHOLT, PIXIMON get thy wee arses back here!

MarsLady · 12/08/2007 19:53

Hi Sam

I'm studying Literature with the Open University as well as being a doula, mother of 5 and running antenatal classes. Obviously not busy enough!

I may join you with the Zinfandel. Rather nice in this weather. For now though I'm going to join DD1 and watch a movie as the DTs are pretending to go to bed and she's my only other one at home. It'll be nice to spend some time with her now she's decided she doesn't really hate me at all lol

Will chat more tomorrow. Need my brain to unwind.... time to watch hunky men!

Thanks Harrogate mum for inviting me over!

Blimey triplets&twins - I thought 3 under 4 was bad - I mean hard

twins will probably seem a doddle after triplets, where abouts in the sunshine state are you?

jambuttie · 12/08/2007 21:35

sometimes I still think "oh my god I have twins" do you all get these moments too?

oooggs · 12/08/2007 21:43

yes I do jambuttie but they are only 18.5 weeks old

tripletsandtwins · 12/08/2007 22:32

Lol at mommalove?s comment, that was my reaction when I was told I was pregnant with twins... I don?t seem to remember anything after that? except maybe waking up
I?m now 18 weeks pregnant, still not far along? I got my first wiggle today though . Hopefully finding out their sexes tomorrow, when I go for my scan.

Oooggs, I?m in West Palm Beach, but I used to live in England so you?ll all have to forgive my spelling- I vary between English and American spellings! Not sure if twins will seem a doddle, I hope they will?

Jambuttie, I have moments when I think ?oh my god! I have triplets! TRIPLETS!? usually, I?m either ecstatically happy when I think it, or incredibly depressed!

largeginandtonic · 12/08/2007 22:35

Evening i too have been missing for a wee while. Camping and a brief visit to Plymouth. The camping was fab! Could have done without the bloomin rain though.

Any gossip, what happened to BIBI?
