oooggs - very very cute pics. Even better than the ones you had before as DS1 is on there too (don't think he was there before, although maybe i was just concentrating on the twins).

I showed your earlier pics to DH so he could see how cute twins are, and it just gave him the fear even more of having TWO babies at once .

chopster · 10/07/2007 08:44

lovely pics oogs, they do look very similar now!

everyone wish me luck, I'm a gym virgin, and I'm off for a trial today. Aaargh! I bet I'm sick all over the treadmill or something.

largeginandtonic · 10/07/2007 13:16

OOgs the twins are HUUUUUGE! I cant believe how much they have grown! Bless them, they look so cute.

Chopster good luck at the gym, i lurve the gym and cant wait to go back to it. You will be just fine

Hello everyone else, im drowning under mountains of paper work. Have a million phone calls and letters to get out. It take so long when a helpful 2 year old keeps taking his nappy off, drawing all over himself with a fountain pen, breaking in to his sisters bedroom (and painting his toes with nail polish) and demanding a biscuit every 5 seconds. Not to mention being on hold to the bank for 10 minutes and the baby pooing up to his neck, so im holding the phone in the crook of my neck while cleaning poo up

Fun huh?

Bet FG is having a lovely time, i wanna go

How is everyone else? It is ds#3's birthday on Friday and his party on Saturday. He is so excited, his Spiderman bike came today in a box Im going to have to make it as dh is still away, it could be interesting here on Thursday night.....

oooggs · 10/07/2007 17:24

they sure are LG&T!!!! had them weighed today and Jack is steaming ahead, but at the same age James was bigger.

hugs giving you the run around

hope things are ok up there and homestart is successful

Chopster - I would love to have the time and energy to go to the gym

Egg - it is hard to keep ds1 out of any photos

Gorgeous pictures!!!!!!!!!

Hi all. I had 3 births last week and this week is full of the follow up and postnatal visits.

Have been busy posting favourite salsa songs with DaddyJ.

Can't stop as I have antenatal classes tonight.

Chopster.. how was the gym?

And WHERE IS OVERRUN??????????????????

OP posts:
chopster · 10/07/2007 18:55

ooh is that the first lot, mars? sounds like things are going brilliantly for you, how on earth did you manage three births in a week!

I LOVED the gym. It was fun! I was really surprised, because I was the sort who hated PE at school. Mind you, the very tall, very dark and drop dead gorgeous instructor probably helped! I am fitter than I thoguht too, so back tomo, and hoping he is there again.

oooggs · 10/07/2007 20:19

mars your job sounds wonderful, how priviledged to help all those parents - so rewarding

estar · 10/07/2007 21:30

oogs - GORGEOUS photos!

triplets - how the HECK did you do that pottytraining so young and so quickly? Mine are still not dry at night and have unexpected accidents during the day

We nearly have our house!

triplets · 10/07/2007 21:50

Lucky I guess! They just all seemed ready, they were so easy at everything, no teething troubles, nothing.......................but now they are a nightmare, big time. Finding it harder and harder, take this morning, at 8am the house is tidy.....ish, by 8.40am every room was trashed, got in the car and I said, "how on earth did you manage to trash the house between breakfast and getting ready for school?" Thomas simply looked at me and said, "its called speed"! There`s no hope for me!

chopster · 11/07/2007 07:36

I hope you told him he could use that speed to tidy up again after school!!

shay (dt2) is driving me nuts atm. He is ok if he has had enough sleep, but if he gets woken up, all hell breaks loose. Even the preschool have noticed it now. This morning he has decorated his bedroom with milk, and tipped all his cereal into the high chair tray. I sent him to the naughty step and he has been throwing the contents of the kids bookbags all over the hallway. He is absolutely vile to ravi when he is like this, really lays into him, and is currently upstairs winding up the older two. He refuses to nap durign the day so I'm jsut stuck with it until he manages to catch up.

Anyone else finding the summer term a nightmare? In the past month or so I've had new school meeting, sports monring, 5 school outings, boys party, 6 birthday party invites, cake sale, 2 special assemblies to attend... there jsut aren't enough hours in the day - I can't wait until school is out!

MarsLady · 11/07/2007 18:10

Welcome to my world Chopster!

Hey all. I did 3 births because 2 came early and 1 bang on time. They're not supposed to come bang on time! lol

largeginandtonic · 11/07/2007 19:28

Chopster and Mars im with ya!

This week i have 2 sports days, 4 parents evenings, a school trip, and school disco. Last week i had the summer fair. It just goes on and on......

Im having a vast gin and tonic, very needed. I have 1 child yelling in his crib behind me, 1 asleep, 1 pretending to be asleep (badly) 1 faffing around upstairs (dd) and 2 in the bath. Bed time doncha just love it

oooggs · 11/07/2007 20:03

hi LG&T - bedtime with my three on my own is hard but my hat off to you.

largeginandtonic · 11/07/2007 21:51

Hello OOOGS, it's all relative. I built up to this many and the twins are mostly very well behaved now. See it does get better to all those mimmies pregnant and with tinies

In fact Sam is my little life saver at the moment, he is so competent with Beau. I can just hand him over and Sam will walk him round and amuse him while i have a shower in the morning or am trying to get tea ready.

He always asks though, im very concious of not making him do stuff (except room tidy ) When i was younger i had a big brother who was away at boarding school and a big age gap before having my little brother (6 years) and little sister (8 years) I had to do an awful lot from a young age and remember feeling quite tied to home and baby watching duties. It didn't make me resentful as such, in fact i probably quite enjoyed it most of the time, it's just i feel i should have been more encouraged to play more. It is not what i want for mine, dont get me wrong they have to do quite a bit, mostly Hugo dragging duties as he escapes for the umpteenth time.

bit of a ramble there, apologies.

Must away to bed, have to finish reading 'The Order of The Phoenix' for the 3rd time before the new book is out. Im quite distraught actually as i have no time at the moment and am worried i wont be able to read it fast enough

Pristine · 12/07/2007 16:12

Just when I thought I'd have time to check-in, work picks up...

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! Here are some answers to your questions:

(are you pristine? )
No, that's just the image I project . People used to apologize for swearing in front of me.

Welcome Pristine...how old are your twins?
They turned 2 on May 4th - Hayden Elise and Henry Allen.

Pristine... welcome. Have some lemon drizzle cake and some vodka.... I mean tea!
:giggle

It's interesting scanning all of the potty-training talk, as we are "trying" to get started with Miss Hayden. I'm not even going to worry about Sir Henry, until he's closer to 3.

Well, back to work before the boss catches me online - again.

menageriekeeper · 12/07/2007 17:00

This evening, I am attending the horror known as a recorder recital at school. I would rather stick hot needles in my eyes. Wish me luck.

Pristine · 12/07/2007 17:52

Good luck!

MarsLady · 12/07/2007 20:23

Hey Pristine... good move waiting and potty training one at a time. Wish I had. Mr Man (DT2) was a miniature nightmare. Miss Lady was done in 3 days!

I would but you said such lovely things about my nails.

Advice and collective brains picking etc lol are why we are here.

I think you'll appreciate the support. Not much else you can do except wait it out. I'm almost crying remembering those days............

largeginandtonic · 12/07/2007 22:32

Evening all, we are drinking long pimms on the postnatal thread >

Im knackered, have been bike making for 2 and a half hours Told you i would struggle. The 30 odd mini spiderman buns, cup cakes and main cake i made today have given me less trouble. Where is my DH when i need him......

Mommalove it will all be a dim and distant memory soon, just a few more months of it. Take whatever the physio gives you and rest lots.

Pristine nice to see you back, glad you are not so 'pristine' or we would have you on Frumpygrumpy duties, she really is pristine

I miss her, hope the hol is going well.

The twins parents evening went well, they are clever little chaps Exceeding all targets and never with their head out of a book (cant think where they get it from )

Mars are you nails really long? I used to be paranoid about popping the gloves I suppose you dont have to wear gloves though. You get all the lovelyness of the job without any of the paperwork I may need a career change.

chopster · 13/07/2007 08:21

lovely names pristine, never heard hayden for a girl before.

Have now clocked up 3 hours at the gym, and my upper body is killing me! No sign of the rugged gym instructor, but there have been a few more I wouldn't say no too. Off again tonight, so fingers crossed.

I hereby order that everyone else should make some me time and get their arses down the gym too! It makes you feel great.

My older two had their parent's evenings too. Rather pleased, dd has caught up a lot, and is pretty average now, and ds1 still lacks the motor control to write but is also getting there, and showing a flair for numbers. Had quite a few blackouts this week tho.

The gloves/nails thing has made me wonder, just how hands on is a doula?
And mars, how is the OU going? I've now applied for next year, if I can get through it will finish off degree next year.
