oooggs · 26/06/2007 19:54

mine were called washy & boshy thanks to ds1 - no idea where they came from

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 26/06/2007 21:18

Mine were called "Oh sh*t we're having twins - help!"

But seriously...the placentas were seperate but they look identical (almost)now. And they are lovely. Now.

MarsLady · 26/06/2007 22:34

Mine were called Munch and Grissom! You'd never guess what I like watching from those names! lol

Well..............I am keeping going by keeping busy........but almost to the point of exhaustion, just finished 2 hours worth of ironing and just sat down, almost 11pm, but that way I will go to bed in a bit and get off to sleep quite quickly. Had a few panicky moments in the last week, but have ridden them out, talked myself out of them. Only taken 3 diazapam in almost two weeks, but replaced it with a couple of glasses of the old du vin blanc!Need this break this w/end, long way to go but need to see my best friend and she needs me atm too.......and we are going to the ball at the local camel sanctuary! Had at last today a letter for a hospital appt for a masking device to help me sleep to mask the tinnitus, guess when..............yep when we are in the States! Another letter from the surgery yesterday to say my GP thinks I would benefit from some counselling, re Matthew, panic attacks etc, so busy its unlikely they can fit me in for at least three months!! So will have to rely on you guys to keep me going, which you usually do!! Thanks Marsy xxx

MarsLady · 26/06/2007 23:07

Ok... close your eyes...............

Now imagine this.......... a massive hug and huge kiss! Feel the love [trying really hard not to sound corny].

Here for you as much as we can be darling!

OP posts:
triplets · 26/06/2007 23:16

Bless you Mars...............will take that to bed with me now........night night xx

chopster · 27/06/2007 08:03

Hope you slept well triplets. xxx

Didn't recent research also suggest that it might be possible to have id with one placenta, if the egg had split later on or something? I can't remember it all, but there was a very long program on tv a few months ago.

Mine were called paneer and muttar. This was around the time that gwynneth paltrow called hers 'Apple' and we were having a silly moment deciding what food names we could call ours. Paneer and muttar are indian names for cheese and peas! It stuck for a while even after they were born, but now they are dumpy and chops.

Hi there. I am new to this site. Logging in from Australia. I am a mum to 15 week old identical twin girls. Appreciate any tips you all might have for me!

chopster · 27/06/2007 09:48

Quick girls, get out the ldc and cushions!

Welcome to mn. I'm so envious of you in australia. Weather here is so crap, and mine are driving me up the wall atm, since we can't get out and about.

How are things goign with your little girls?

Tash74 · 27/06/2007 12:34

All ok...most days! They sleep through most nights, then torture me on the odd night with the 3am wake up call!

If it makes you feel any less jealous it is cold here at the moment (well, cold for us anyway!) and we have had a few days solid of rain.

MarsLady · 27/06/2007 12:36

Hi Tash

Welcome! 15wks eh? So would you like the loving, gorgeous, wonderful stories.....? Or the truth?

OP posts:
Tash74 · 27/06/2007 13:16

The whole truth and nothing but the truth!! Ok, no spare me How old are yours Mars?

frumpygrumpy · 27/06/2007 13:49

Well......you pop out to nip to a ball and when you drift back NEWBIES-A-GO-GO fly in thick and fast from all corners of the globe!! Welcome all, tis lovely to have you all on board

The ball was fantastic. It was in The Castle, very atmospheric. Food was great, ceilidh was wild, pipers were heavenly (We scottish girls get a bit breathless and weak when faced with men in kilts carrying bagpipes. You have to hear them up close to get the true heart thumping effect, and a few is always even better than solo. Always get me emotional.) Got to bed 4.30am , still paying that one off

I've lost track now of who is pregnant and who isn't. I'm not, just to keep that clear why do I keep typing [groin]???

Ooooooooooooooogs, I'm so glad your routine is working (I'd love to take credit but really it was just trial and error). Leo, I tended to let the DTs kick on a changing mat, and pee to their little hearts content, while bathing DD1. I'd then plop her in my bed to watch CBeebies or potter about me while I did the DTs bath and feed. Then I'd pop the DTs down and do a story for DD1 so she felt she was staying up late. I started about 5.30pm/6pm so that her bedtime of say 7.30 stayed the same.

Triplets, I went for a slinky top to show off the best of the bad bits and some cream trousers to hide the bits I'm not so fond of. I wore wedges which were fabulously comfy as I struggle with heels and, under my trousers you couldn't tell anyway. How's the outfit planning? Can we help? Coast do brilliant tops which will make any old trouser look amazing. How are your arms and shoulders?

I go on holiday on Saturday and won't be back for a while. What am I going to do without you girls? You help keep the sanity flowing. And who is going to hoover this place and clean the downstairs loo?

MarsLady · 27/06/2007 13:50

My DTs are 3. My older children are 14.5, 12.5 and 8

But don't fall over in shock because twinmummyX2 has about 100 children as does LG&T. I'm one of the smaller families PMSL!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
frumpygrumpy · 27/06/2007 13:53

Hi Tash, Mars has about 17 children all between the ages of 1 and 17, I think. We stopped counting after the first 3 If she wasn't so damn lovely, we'd have banned her from the thread long, long ago for putting us mothers of one plus twins to shame

(slightly pushed my numbers there, she only has a titchy 5 children) As in the words of a taxi driver I had the pleasure to ride with "GET A BLOODY TELLY"!!!!

frumpygrumpy · 27/06/2007 13:54

ooh, hi Mars

Idobelieveinfairies · 27/06/2007 14:01

lol@you guys

I only have 8!!!! 100's indeed....lol

I could go on forever though, but enjoying darling nephew who is 3 weeks old already. That lovely newborn smell, the funny little noises, the velvet soft head, the cheeks filling out...oh i could eat newborns.

Welcome to all the newbies [waves]..and the regulars too.

MarsLady · 27/06/2007 14:32

Don't worry FG.... I didn't see anything! lol Glad that you're about though. We were worried...esp as you'll be dropping out of sight for a wee while!

Now... how do we smoke Overrun out????????

OP posts:
chopster · 27/06/2007 15:52

does overun even have net atm? I haven't even seen her on msn in aaages and her message is still on about packing from weeks ago.

SLightly less envious, tash, as we hd a dry day today so we went to the park and the woods this morning and legoland this afternoon. I don't think me and houses get on at all, maybe I should jsut move into the lcoal park with the boys.

Mine are 2. I also have a son aged 5 and a daughter aged 7. So a very small family. What stories are we going to start with then? Mars's two and the toilet duck? My dt2's impression of a lemming?

oooggs · 27/06/2007 16:03

hi Tash and welcome - my dt's are 13 weeks tomorrow, girl/boy so no advice here I have no idea what I am doing ds1 (3.6) does it all

frumpygrumpy · 27/06/2007 16:10

Nah, tell her mine, you know the one where DT1 spread the bouncy ball making crystals all over the floor and added a full bottle of washing up liquid. You know those crystals, the ones you can't add liquid to unless you want solidified neon gunk stuck solidly to your kitchen floor or the one where I walked into the kitchen and found one very young DT standing tall ontop of the worktop and one eating the contents of the bin......

........or if only Overrun would stop by she could tell the one about the poo be kind, be kind

Tash, we are here, standing by, with tissues and rubber gloves for you honey. You can trust us.

MarsLady · 27/06/2007 16:13

Don't forget the huge amounts of alcohol!

OP posts:
frumpygrumpy · 27/06/2007 18:26
