We survived and we're still smiling! Welcome!

The kettle's on and the cakes will be arriving shortly! Make yourself at home.

If you want to you can always search the archives for all the d'ya ever threads.... that'll either scare or comfort you!

Ah thanks ladies for the lovely welcome already. Gutted about the Zapp . We are loving it at the mo, and soon it will be redundant...

Have to say, when I was told this morning there were TWO, I did think I needed a large G&T. Have refrained tho. LDC wouldn't go amiss. Are you making a large one????? I am eating for THREE after all.

I had a quick skim of the multiple threads, and saw that you always advised new girls to have a look at the d'ya threads, so that's where I started. Will be looking for LOTS of advice!!!

oooggs · 25/06/2007 17:32

hi egg & congrats, kneehighinnappies' dd was 22 mths (I think) when her dt's were born 13 weeks ago she will be able to advise aswell.

My dts are 12 weeks and ds1 is 3.6 and that is hard enough answering back etc...

Have a great and healthy pregnancy - I found out at 8 weeks as well, it does help knowing early

Egg · 25/06/2007 17:40

Hi oooggs. I did a quick search on twins a little while ago and saw your post when you introduced yourself on the due in March 2007 thread and said you were 8 weeks pg with twins. I am glad I know now, means I will try to take better care, knowing there are more risks etc, and feel even less guilty about not getting on the exercise bike etc.

Just worrying about bigger house / car etc. No money... more difficult for holidays. But am soooo excited as well. I feel a bit special .

thank you egg my dts are also non id girl/boy but you already know that as you have read my profile

I had a shit pregnancy and many admissions to hospital for me, the dts were fine all along. They were big and I found it very difficult but the labour was easy and it was all worth it in the end

largeginandtonic · 25/06/2007 19:05

Evenin EGG (scuse my mispalced ramblings but ds#4 is currently in and out of bed ) I had the twins first but had dd within 20 months so i did it in reverse!

Cant be that bad as i have gone on to have a few more It will be fine, dont worry about the money, hols, cars etc. You just manage

Congratulations EGG!!!!!

My dts are 4 months old (boys). They were born 3 days before ds1s second birthday! I'm smiling much more now than I was the day I found out I was having twins !

Zapps? I am so out of touch!

Ooogs, were you on the due March 2007? I was as well.

Don't bother emigrating to Switzerland, its miserable here as well today.

MarsLady · 25/06/2007 19:50

Beau been an angel all day, im now reaping the rewards, not. Im having a stella to numb the pain I may even try and eat in a minute

Egg · 25/06/2007 19:54

Thanks again for the warm welcome. In the coming months I will asking lots of questions about natural births etc, as I reeeeally don't want a c-section, but will wait until pg is more established before going into it too much.

Leolady - 3 days before DS1's second bday! My due date is 18 days before DS's bday, but am guessing they will be born a month or so before he turns 2 now. How did your DS cope? I worry for my poor spoilt little boy! Still, it will do him good!

Egg · 25/06/2007 19:58

Hey Momma, the joke was not that bad... and I hope I look as good as you at 25 weeks pg

Going to retire to bed soon. Missed my lunchtime nap due to excitement so am very tired now.

tkband3 · 25/06/2007 20:04

Hi Egg, welcome and congratulations on your news. DD1 was 20 months when my DTs (id girls) were born...it aint easy, but we've survived and DD1 is 4 in a couple of weeks, the DTs turned 2 in March, and life is fun, if a little busy . Having them so close together is a blessing in the end... they all play together so beautifully now (most of the time and get on really well. Also, they're interested in doing the same things, so it makes it easier for outings etc. have a look at the TAMBA buggy guide - you'll be able to find a fabby double (I loved my nipper) to replace your zapp.

Hello everyone else - I'm sooooo fed up with all this rain. Got absolutely drenched today getting DTs and shopping into car at Sainsburys and I'm now wearing a jumper...IN JUNE FGS [fed up emoticon]. Any room for me on that place to Oz?

MarsLady · 25/06/2007 20:06

Hiya Lurker! How you doing?

I'm just popping out for an hour. Not 'cos you've arrived lol!

Good to see you. Isn't it lovely that we have these nice, lovely untouched newbies?

Must yell up the stairs at the DTs. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

ladyofleisure - yes I was due on 12th April and at the begining I posted on March and April 07 threads as I thought I was going to be really early - as twins are - bollocks .

But I couldn't keep up with two threads so decided to stay with April as I could relate more there, same things happening at same time.

They ended up being born 29th March at 38 weeks after induction.

Mommalove - I was scanned at 8 weeks and they could see then it was two different sacs

tkband3 - just about to go and out pj's on cos I am cold too
