Hi triplets, hope you managed to get some sleep. At moment it is dry and the sun is trying to shine down 'ere in Cornwall. So if you have better weather than that please bring it with you have a safe trip

mommalove, welcome to the thread!
It's never too late. Mine were ceph at 35 weeks then at least one was breech by 36 weeks and both born breech at 38 weeks. Mars will prob have some tips when she pops in next. Fingers crossed for you!

triplets, hope you got some sleep are are feeling a bit better today. God know's what over the top means! Maybe you could get away with a normal evening frock and team it with a feather boa and tiara.
Do you think once they were at the play they might behave? Sounds like normal sibling teasing to me, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

fg and I were int he round up first, and I've been in it twice her best.

I hate this weather. Sooo crap. Hope you two get your meetup next time. We all went to the races again yesterday, but looks like we're going to be stuck in for the weekend. Have been busy cleaning and cooking instead.

menageriekeeper · 23/06/2007 18:16

Evening all. My gruesome threesome are sitting in front of a DVD, eating chips and hotdogs, followed by icecream. They're reaping the rewards of helping me clean all the downstairs without a single moan between them. I'm still in shock.

triplets · 23/06/2007 19:32

Hi all,
Slept from 6am-7.30am! Baked and baked for school fayre and then three lots of the most ridiculous maths homework, followed by James show, and you will be pleased to know his brother and sister behaved and were rather gobsmacked at his performance! Just got back from tea at my mums, and will be into bed after they have watched Dr Who! Hope not to be sending you an early morning message!

devondoris · 23/06/2007 20:29

Triplets, that sounds like a good day after all! Hope you get a bit more sleep tonight.

Mommalove - my DT2 was breech, I got to 41 weeks, no C-section, and all hunkydory (sorry those who have heard this so many times before!). Get information about breech being first, and if the risks aren't higher than you want to risk, give it a go naturally if that's what you want. You need to be able to make an informed choice though. Everything that happens to you during your pregnancy and childbirth is up to you - not your health professionals. They can't do anything without your permission. I've also got a friend whose DT1 was engaged all the way up to birth, and then he moved aside because his sister wanted to come first after all - they still behave in the same way 4 years on!! So things can change. The usual stuff for turning a singleton will apply to twins too, BTW; leaning forwards, not sitting on fluffy, puffy, comfy sofas ...

Ooogs - it's the food on the floor. We're finger feeding now as well, which generally ends up as face smearing and, ooops, Mummy where did it go? They've also got quite good at clearing the table on to the floor too. The only tripp-trapp disadvantage I've found so far! But it's good fun, and they've discovered olives now so we must be on the right track!

FG - hope you had a wonderful time last night!

oooggs · 24/06/2007 19:13

hi all

left dt's with dh yesterday afternoon and ds1 and I went to see the Tweenies Live at Plymouth Pavillions. It was good

frumpygrumpy - have been following your bedtime routine and success, all in bed asleep by 6.40pm this evening. So tomorrow when dh is working lates I aim to do dt's first and get them into bed then ds1 in bed for storytime by 7pm then asleep by 7.20pm - we will see.

Erin screams for her bed, girl after my own heart

inamuckingfuddle · 24/06/2007 19:16

oooggs you're brave, tweenies live - and you survived!

We are wondering whether to put DTs in separate rooms. Any thoughts on this? They have a shared room and a playroom at the moment, the room one would move into is currently the study/ironing/dumping all the stuff you can't be bothered to find a home for room, so it woudl require a bit of effort on my part...

oooggs · 24/06/2007 19:23

what do your girls think muckyfuddle? do they want seperate bedrooms? I have no idea/opinion. Just that mine will eventually have to have own bedrooms as boy girl twins.

Leoladyofleisure · 24/06/2007 20:03

only got a minute on here so, Mommalove - both dts were head down for weeks, on the friday before they were born I had a hospital appointment and both were head down and ready to go, monday night my waters broke. Sometime between friday afternoon and monday evening dt2 had turned, I'm still shocked as I hadn't realised it (and the consultant was more than a little bit surprised) - I'm only a little bit over than 5'3, was at 36weeks and 6 days carrying over 5kg of babies! Still loads of time for your babies to turn - get down on all fours and get your bum in the air as much as possible - hips higher than shoulders.
Unfortunately my hospital also wouldn't let me go for a normal birth either with one baby breech, I'm sure some places in the UK will, it could be worth looking for another hospital?????
If you do agree to go for CS because of one being breech maybe insist that it starts naturally just in case one does turn just before.
Mars can give you loads more advice on this, I'm really just telling you what happened to me!

Glad you had a good day Triplets, I am sure the 2 other dts were as proud as you of James.

Muckyfuddle - I love that - you have boys don't you? No ideas about putting htem in separate rooms but it may solve some of your problems.

FG, Ooogs, what is that bedtime routine? what do you do with ds1 while you put the dts to bed Ooogs?

Doris, lovely to hear from you, you busy mad woman! Lovely piccies! Ive got to put some more up as well but can't remember how to reduce them!

Exhausted, hot, hot, hot here. Went with all 3 and dh (who was more trouble than the other 3 put together) to see a friend(from UK)'s boyfriend in the Zurich Ironman. I got all excited, maybe, just maybe another marathon will be marked on my calendar sometime in the next few years !

Hello Accordiangirl ..... and everyone else!

Leoladyofleisure · 24/06/2007 20:03

That was a long minute !

oooggs · 24/06/2007 20:17

Ladyofleisure - when dh at work in the evening this is the routine........

5.50pm start running bath & getting all nappies, bedclothes & towels ready
6pm ds1 & dt1 in bath (dt2 at bathroom door on floor)
6.05pm dt1 out of bath, dried, dressed and laid on floor at bathroom door
6.10pm dt2 in the bath
6.15pm dt2 out, dried, dressed and laid with dt1
6.20pm ds1 washed then out of bath, dried dressed
6.30pm ds1 in front room watching cbeebies (front room & nursery on same floor)
6.35pm in nusery feeding both dt's in their gro bags semi darkness
6.55pm dt's fed, winded and in cot. Blind fully down, night, night - leave room.
7pm ds1 into bed with drink for stories. 7.15pm light out, sit with until asleep (5min max - I know this needs sorting but daytime wetting more important)
7.20pm wine opened & on mumsnet!!!

when dh is here we do either ds1 or dt's so they are in bed quicker and there is no telly.

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 24/06/2007 20:31

Sorry haven't got time to read all messages, but congrats to all on your acheivements
Just had to get my word in edgeways...still get asked if dts are twins at age 9. Still get asked if they are difficult.
Used to annoy me alot more because they used to always always ask 'is it a boy and a girl' because i'd dressed them differently. I REALLY wanted to reply "no i'm fucking poor and had to buy all their clothes secondhand thanks for pointing it out...and even if i could buy them new i don't want to dress them the same anyway. Why, is there a law against dressing twins the same? Is it obligatory?"
Nowadays lots of ppl think one of them is a boy still but that may be becos she dresses a bit boyishly!

MarsLady · 24/06/2007 21:41

I'm back from my weekend away at a breastfeeding workshop and antenatal reunion party.

Mommalove... plenty of time. Don't let it worry you. Lots of time for them to turn and does your consultant agree with vaginal births for DTs? If not change consultants. Told an expectant DT mum that just today. If I hadn't looked at your gorgeous photos I'd've sworn it was you! lol

Hi ladies........... need to sort out for school tomorrow. Have been away and things are awry!

Where is that OVERRUN???????????????

Nice to see you briefly Doris! We miss you!

FG how was the ball? Were you the belle?

Happy monday everybody, not. DH gone back to work for another weekend, it sucks sending him off on a sunday night. Im amid bath and bedtime chaos and have to wave him off in the taxi. At least he isnt at sea yet, that is next week

All the children are being very good though, the twins have new check list on their wall. Stages to follow each morning before school and i tick off the list in the kitchen. A full set of ticks means full quota of pocket money, reduced accordingly if they fail on a few things. It is working well and im shouting less in the mornings

FG how was the ball? Any gossip to be had?

Mommalove both my dts were the same as yours at that stage, mine had no time to turn though as they decided to arrive at 29weeks. They were still going round and round though.

Mars am making a LDC for the school fayre on saturday, the dts demand it

Why is the weather so hideous? I just cant bear it anymore, i want to have lovely walks and go to the beech after school Please tell me it stops soon.

OVERRUN where are you?????

chopster · 25/06/2007 11:28

I hate this weather too, large gin, it's driving me up the wall. Apparently July isn't lookign too good neither I want to emigrate NOW!

largeginandtonic · 25/06/2007 11:42

Im with you Chopster, where shall we go? Aussie, New Zealand, South of France? Oh the decsions we have to make. Busy day for us then, i will get started on the packing

chopster · 25/06/2007 12:37

I did the south of france at easter - australia sounds tempting though...hmm! then again, I really wish I was back in monaco right now, sitting in the sun outside the royal palace, looking down towards the harbour with a large glass of chilled white wine.

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 25/06/2007 15:20

Can i join you wherever you go? I promise i won't swear any more and i'll be a good girl [saintly emoticon]

So long as i don't have to bring dts with me cos they're driving me up the wall having to stay inside. They will insist on winding each other up!

chopster · 25/06/2007 16:08

oh dts are defo banned. Mine are the same. Poor dt1 was trying to sleep and dt2 thought it was great fun to keep waking him up and making him scream. I told him to pack it in, and he said 'No, Wind Up!'. Nasty little boy!

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 25/06/2007 16:12

Lol...sorry, sounds funny tho. My dts are obviously a bit older then, when they argue it is usually over whether they want to play with Lego or just sit and sulk so that their sister has to play on their own
They are 9, so this seems quite bizarre to me.

Egg · 25/06/2007 16:46

Afternoon ladies. I found out this morning I am having TWINS. I am only 8 weeks pg, so a looooong time to go yet, but just looking for some moral support. I am so excited, and can't stop grinning, but I am also terrified. We have a DS who will be 23 months when the twins are due. Please tell me some of you have survived this and are still smiling .

largeginandtonic · 25/06/2007 16:55

Wahooo EGG, huge congratulations to you! You must be very excited. An excellent start to come on here, we have twins of all ages and some of us have triplets....we bow in awe of them
