rosmerrin, I think soem people are. My mother was dreadfully sick through pg with both my brother and I and was prescribed medication to help. The result was both my brother and I having hearing loss. I've a moderate hearing loss and my brother a mild one. I expected to be really sick, but I think I've got off quite lightly really.

hello,
Have to agree that a motivation for my cooking is time away from the dts. When they were only a month old, we had dh's parents to stay, and I spent each day in the kitchen preparing food, door firmly shut. Only coming out to breastfeed them (On a serious note, I was probably in denial or something) This was the same year, that we attempted a full christmas dinner with all the trimmings, home made christmas cake, pudding, Iced rum sauce, brandy butter. Yep all home made, denial denial. We also hosted a cocktail party on christmas eveing, which I catered for
And our reward, ds1 running a temp of 39.5 and above, so we were up with him all christmas eve night. Oh and we discovered dt1's groin hernia on Christmas day
We had a nice meal of smoked mackerel pate to start, then jeruselem artichoke and leek gratin with baked shallot and salad. Dh made a chocolate bread and butter pudding. But it was a bit of a wash out, romance wise. As AF made an unexpected appearance and tbh, I felt too knackered after my migraine to even bother making conversation
Kelly, I can identify with the climbing into each others cots, boy, can I. I can't remember if I have told you lot this, but dt1 keeps being discovered on dt2 bed. I think the times we have discovered him near or under the bed, he must have fallen off, or been pushed
Well thats enough waffle for now. Whats all this about a meet up then?

Never mind

dingdongjustforyoufg · 15/02/2007 19:48

lol overrun, try this!

lulumama · 15/02/2007 19:48

hijack anyone seen LG&T, ? emailed her and not heard back..x

dingdongjustforyoufg · 15/02/2007 19:53

So, Valentine's night... we had our M&S meal, as although I agree that I have spent far more time in the kitchen since having the DTs, I have so far struggled with putting a decent meal on the trable after a full day's work we had pink bubbly and DH bought me nice chocs and Elle Macpherson undies - mind you I had sent him a few subtle hints in the form of figleaves emails but like overrun AF arrived early and I went to bed with a hot water bottle

Also on a sad note my grandad died today - not entirely unexpected as he was 93! Still, a sad day for my Dad and for my sis who lives nearby and was called to the scene when he collapsed this morning

dingdongjustforyoufg · 15/02/2007 19:55

lulumama haven't seen LG&T for ages - is she still in Plymouth with the inlaws? That might impede her online activity!

dingdongjustforyoufg · 15/02/2007 19:58

Are you guys going to be watching miracles in the womb tonight?

lulumama · 15/02/2007 20:05

thank you dingdong x

Overrun · 15/02/2007 20:07

thanks ding dong, normally I can do links, don't know what happened. Sorry to hear about your granddad, it was the anniversary of my Gran (deceased) birthday yesterday, she would have been 90. She died in 2000.
I think I will watch that scan programme as well

Harrogatemum · 15/02/2007 21:24

Harrogatemum · 15/02/2007 21:25

Kelly1978 · 15/02/2007 21:28

dingdong, so sorry to hear about your grandad, my thoughts are with your family. xxx

MarsLady · 16/02/2007 01:56

Dingdong!

DS1 has sky+ed Miracles in the Womb I hope. I was out dancing.

What have you lot started. My AF has just arrived a week early. Grrrr.........

tkband3 · 16/02/2007 09:33

So sorry about your grandad Dingdong (((((((Hugs))))))) to you and your family.

I recorded miracles in the womb last night (had to watch the end of the Verdict), but I couldn't resist watching a few minutes before I went to bed and it looks like it's going to be really good. They're following 3 pregnancies - twins, triplets and quads - and the triplets were conceived on different days...how amazing is that?

Mars - I've just signed up for the Mile for Maude. Where is Priory Park?

Jess - Welcome to our mad world . I wasn't sick with my twin pregnancy, although I did feel alot more nauseous than I had first time around. I did get big v. quickly, but then it was my second pregnancy, so that could have been why.

cricket · 16/02/2007 11:02

Miracles in the Womb was fab - apart from the annoying poetry every few mins - made me feel quite emotional....

HM - am 35+4 weeks now and both babies are head down so we are green to go for a natural birth if poss. Am hoping they pop out before I see the consultant again at around 37.5 weeks as then we decide when to induce. Was induced with my ds and didn't like it one bit! but hey ho, we shall see!

Have to go, ds just tried to bite my typing arm as he wasn't get any attention! lovely!

Overrun · 16/02/2007 11:05

Morning all, I enjoyed the programme as well, and quite liked the poetry, although I am sure that I have seen a similar programme about Singleton pregnancies with the same poetry, so its obviously a done gig

Leoladyofleisure · 16/02/2007 13:02

Dingdong, sorry to hear about your grandad .

Miracles in the womb sounds really interesting! did anyone record it and feel like sending it to me (if you think its worth it!)?

What does AF stand for? I realise what it is but can't think what the AF means!

aku · 16/02/2007 16:51

Hello all! Sorry to jump in with my questions without reading the rest of the thread. I just wonder if you could give me any advise please? I have twin girls who will turn two next week and refuse to sleep in their cots which are in the same room with us. We are moving next week which will mean they can start sharing a room with their older sister who is eight. I work three days a week and have not had a night where I have slept through since I was six weeks pregnant. My DH has not slept in the same bed since they were born. How do I go about getting them out of our bed please??? I will be checking back when I get a break from the packing etc etc! Thanks!!

Overrun · 16/02/2007 16:55

Aku, I will have to put my thinking cap on, and try and give you some suggestions. I have been really struggling to get my dts to sleep at night recently, so will think back about what has worked for us
