ThrockenAroundTheChristmasTree · 13/12/2006 10:31

I can't keep up with you lot - you always post loads while my back is turned !

I missed Mars's lot totally - so I will have to imagine them.

Mine are here just for today.

HarktheHarrogateMumisSinging · 13/12/2006 10:33

how do you post photos - I will do one of my little menaces if someone explains how to go about it!! Kelly where are youuuu you seem to be the technical wizard!!

Everyone else - all your twins are bee-yoo-tiful. Throck - I cant see your pic, have posted over on the other thread, was I too late to catch it!?

ThrockenAroundTheChristmasTree · 13/12/2006 10:42

just go to the member profile section - post there and follow the link to add a photo - but they have to be small - less than 40KB I think (my firstone was 45kb and did not show up). So you need to figure out how to resize it - presumably that is what Kelly is a wizz at

JuA · 13/12/2006 11:15

Hi all! Long time since I posted - life is passing by so fast.
DD1 was 3 yesterday - my baby is so grown up! The mini beasts are growing teeth - it is a painful slow process, and involves not much sleep for Mummy, and to add to the nightly chaos dd1 has started getting up and seeing monsters!!

Congratulation HM - Maddy is a lovely name! I hope she is being good for you.

Hi to everyone else - I will try to keep up with this thread and keep posting.

All the photos are fantastic - if I get chance I will do one of my lot!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 13/12/2006 11:29

Gosh, i don't know what to say. I just had the phone call I was hoping wouldn't come. DDs friends daddy passed away last night. I feel so sad for them and feel a bit shaky too even though I knew it would happen. Have just rung around all the mums from class to arrange a collection so we can send flowers or buy a rose bush for her garden. Lots of people didn't know he was so desperately ill. I am sitting here with tears pouring down my face for life being so bloody unfair. Sorry to drag you all down a bit, I just wanted to talk.

ThrockenAroundTheChristmasTree · 13/12/2006 11:33

so sad - the only consolation is the suffering and waiting are over - now they have to come to terms with life without him. Are they old enough to have good memories of him before he was ill ?

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 13/12/2006 11:33

It is busy in here today

Hello JuA nice to see you around again. Everyone has such gorgeous twins!

Resizing isn't difficult. Open the picture in paint, and then you can skew it by pressing ctrl+w. Then save it as a jpeg if it isn't already.

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 13/12/2006 11:35

Oh no, so sorry to hear that fg. How horrible for the family, it's going to be a very hard christmas for them this year.

A friend of mine lost her mother when she was jsut 15. They bought a bench for the front garden with a plaque put on it, and I thought that was lovely. It's so difficult to know how to help though.

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 13/12/2006 11:37

Their eldest (DDs friend) has only just turned 6 so will have limited memories and the younger two will only have the precious stuff recorded on video and the letter he dictated to them a few weeks ago. How bloody awful is that? I think it is worse (at this age) for the mummy who has to fill in the gaps for them as they grow.

piximon · 13/12/2006 11:44

Oh FG despite knowing it was going to happen that's still so sad. Not that death anytime is good but somehow it always seem worse when it happens at a time you're supposed to be celebrating.
A wedding in my family was recently postponed when the bride's father died unexpectedly just a few days before.

I was going to tell you that my blubbing hormones have been replaced by Victor Meldrew (moaning) ones but news like that puts life into perspective.

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 13/12/2006 11:49

Oh fg that is so sad. I agree it will be worse for mum than for the children and at this time of year it just seems to compound the misery, Christmas will always be hard for them

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 13/12/2006 11:55

Thanks pixi. It does indeed keep life in perspective and that is the good thing for us(I always tell DD to find the good thing when a sad thing happens). I took DDs friend in to school the other day. She was clutching a book and a homemade bookmark with a picture on it of her mum and dad cuddling and smiling. I don't know what to say. Tragic.

Time to re-write my list of "things to do before you die". And do some. Number one is:

(1) tell DP about my lovely friends on the multiples thread xxx.

twinkletwinklelittletracy · 13/12/2006 13:51

Oh FG I'm so sad for your friend and her DCs. Am sitting here weeping for them...it wouldn't have been easy at any time, but it always seems harder at this time of year.

HarktheHarrogateMumisSinging · 13/12/2006 13:54

I put a pic of my DTs on the member profiles but its a bit hazy after I resized it so you cant really see them. Poo.

FG - I am sorry to hear about your friend - not much I can say to make you feel better I know.

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 13/12/2006 13:56

Oh bloody hell FG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How awful but I know you'll be an amazing friend!

Throckenholt I've asked StG to pop it up again just for you.

Good to see you JuA

twinkletwinklelittletracy · 13/12/2006 14:05

have just added a picture of the DTs...but I don't know how to add a link to it!

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 13/12/2006 14:06

there you go my twinkle!

twinkletwinklelittletracy · 13/12/2006 14:17

thanks mars. am so loving seeing everyone's pictures.

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 13/12/2006 14:18

Me too. Finally!

What we need is somewhere to put them all so that we can all remind ourselves which wee beasties we are talking about at any one time lol!

So........... FG!!!!!!!!!!! Pull your finger out babe!

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 13/12/2006 14:27

mars, how did you get a piccie of all five of yours together? I don't have a single good one of all four, except for some halloween pics!

FrumpytheGrumpyreindeer · 13/12/2006 14:29

Mars, how did you know I have my finger inside a muffin?

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 13/12/2006 14:30

There's a guy at church who is a photographer to the stars. He offered to do photo shots after each service at Church a couple of Sundays ago. I booked on and then completely forgot about it. Consequently my darlings were not as quoiffed as the others that were photographed that day. But to be honest... I prefer it that way!

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 13/12/2006 14:31

I know all things!

ThrockenAroundTheChristmasTree · 13/12/2006 14:34

I have a website I could put them all on if you want .
