Whoa Shabs how exciting Id love to have a dog, my J has always wanted one since he was a little boy! Is it permanent then or just looking after her for a while? Can imagine how over the moon Tom is :) Do staffies need much training, dont know much about them, you need advice from Mama, if I remember rightly she is a dog handler? Hope Lew gets on ok with her.............aw I think that's exciting news. Was nice to see my friend, she has many health problems but I thought she looked pretty good, we had a nice couple of hours, lots of laughs! Tomorrow its the turn on the Wiganites.........Shabs knows about them!! Chops........will you be changing your name to Sheila??? How lucky, how exciting, wow!! Got to go looking tomorrow for a book for a 7 yr old boy, he has asked for a drawing or writing book with gold edged paper!! Any ideas, must be cheap? Kale nits everyone xx

Minisoksmakehardwork · 17/12/2014 23:15

How cheap trips? Amazon have really nice gifty ones. But I'm sure I've seen them in 'cheap' shops before, likes of boyes, qd, 'the original factory shop'.

shabbadabbadingdong · 17/12/2014 23:22

Congratulations Chops - sounds very exciting - if you ever get a prize of a holiday in Rhodes I hope you remember me

A neighbour has two staffs. I am very scared of staffs so if Mitzy looked like a pure bred one I would not be having her sat on me on the sofa right now!!! She admired Mitzy and said, in her opinion, she had only a small amount of staff in here but plenty of labrador. What my Dad would describe as a Heinz 57 dog LOL. Will try and get her to stay still and take a picture.

The home she has come from consists of my friend and her hubby and 4 children. Eldest DD (original owner) is almost 20.....then a big gap to DD2 (8), DD3 (4) and DS (3) - their house is always crazy Grin every person in it has a massive personality and are very loud.

Mitzy has had no accidents in the house. I let her out into the back yard about every half hour and tonight she went to the door herself. She is a lovely dog and gives some relief from all the sadness that has gone on in our family for a long time. Took her to meet Tom off the bus tonight and she went crazy when she saw him!!!

She loves Lew and the feeling is mutual but he gets overwhelmed by her licking him and jumping all over him!!!!

shabbadabbadingdong · 17/12/2014 23:23

....oh meant to say Trips its permenant Smile

Chopstheduck · 18/12/2014 07:40

aw, she sounds lovely, shabs! Just what you all needed, really, I reckon it was meant to be.

Fingers crossed for the bloods, soks. x

I have a sore throat :( I swear it is always this time of year I finally succumb to all the lurgies the kids are bringing home! I am NOT pleased!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 18/12/2014 10:01

Morning. On a tidying mission. I need to get the blasted tree up!!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 18/12/2014 15:51

Lounge is tidy! Windows cleaned and everything. Now however, the kids are all home from school...

MultipleMama · 18/12/2014 22:27

Do you want to tidy my house too?! Hope you enjoy your visitors! Xmas Grin

DC finish school tomorrow for Christmas break. It's half a day so we're going to treat them to their first ever pub lunch!! :)

Took K & A to a panto about Rudolph tonight. We don't normally take A out past 5 as she has a strict sleep schedule but I thought they both needed some fun and quality time with DH and I. Hoping that because we still gave her her "quiet time" she'll have no nightmares. Great thing about having family stay with us is having babysitters! Grin

Fee didn't have the greatest of days so I think DH and I needed a break too x

triplets · 18/12/2014 23:47

Hi..........am soooooo exhausted. Two lots of visitors both staying three hours each, school on Weds, shop shop shop, clean clean clean.........aghhh! Off to London tomorrow to sil which will be such a nice treat, leaving dcs is my only worry..........will I come back to a house?

Minisoksmakehardwork · 19/12/2014 07:52

No visitors MM! At least not who'd worry about the state of the house lol.
Just needed to get tree up. Joshua will be 'helping' this afternoon.

Dh is in a grumpy grouch at the moment. I know he's tired but he's getting nit picky over silly things and then getting a bigger cob on when I point out I'm not the only adult in the house capable of doing things... He's just looking for an argument I think and I cba to give it to him.

HarrogateMum · 19/12/2014 17:14

Mine are finished now too but still whirlwind of activity as last cubs is on tonight. Parties tomorrow panto on Tuesday, can't keep track!!! Didn't know they did panto in Germany mm, what was it like?? And a pub lunch - didn't think they had pubs either!! Bars yes. Must have changed a bit since I last went! How is your little one doing? And are you ready for your twelve course feast?! I'm getting there still bits of food to get...yawn all this prep for just one day!!

How were your visitors trips? And how's your tree soks?? And chops you lucky thing with Sydney!!! How many competitions do you enter to win so much!!!

MultipleMama · 19/12/2014 19:12

Hey, HM. It was a small local panto (we live just outside frankfurt am main) for the children put on by the community centre, nothing big but the kids loved it and it was well put together :). In my area there's a little local pub that does lunches before 3pm (when it stops being child friendly) but as you said it's mainly bars (our favourite is Mephisto - it's in a basement! Grin, gastropubs and restaurants.

Fee has good and bad days, yesterday was bad but today he's been much better. His IVH3 has finally cleared up and his seizures are few and far between :) Got our 2nd cuddles this morning, and he's taking to the breast milk really well :) I have a few recipes prepared but family arrive on Monday and they'll help prep food on Tuesday :)

I hate the prepping and cooking but love the eating. I'm such a ponce for food sometimes! Grin Wouldn't it be grand if we could hire cooks?!

Chops, I'm so Xmas Envy!! Think of me when you're soaking up all that sun or have a few drinks for me! You should check out the famous Bondi Beach too if you can! And those eye candy lifeguards Wink think I need to start entering competitions

Chopstheduck · 19/12/2014 19:16

Too many, HM!

At least a few hours a day, and in December it can easily be a full time job, but I haven't had the time to devote to it this advent. I nearly gave up altogether tbh, especially thinking about starting a new job too in the new year. It is incredibly boring too, but things like this keep me going!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 20/12/2014 07:58

Tree is up and cable tied down. Has lights on and that's it at the moment!

Took James to football last night. A much better time than the last time, he came away feeling very proud with a medal for himself.

Off to panto with rainbows today. Should be fun! James is coming too as dh was supposed to be coming, but forgot he's working. Twins are spending the afternoon with nana and grandad.

Might get the rest of the decs on this evening.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 20/12/2014 08:00

Oh, and the thing in the loft now sounds like it's under the bathroom floor. All I could hear all night was really loud scratchy/nibbling noises from under the bath/toilet. And the trap has not yet been touched (put one behind bath panel).

Minisoksmakehardwork · 20/12/2014 08:33

Arse feck fuck and bollocks!

Dh brought home presents from friends of ours for the kids last night. And left them under the tree - you can see where this is going can't you.

Well the twins have started opening some of them and ordinarily its not a problem but I'm absolutely gutted. Emily has been after an elsa dress and it was the one thing she asked Father Christmas for so we ordered it a while ago. We're still waiting for delivery but our friends have only gone and bought her the bloody thing.

It's lovely, and normally I'm not one for suggesting people ask before they buy. But the one bloody thing Father Christmas was bringing... I can't rage on fb as it would upset them and they clearly have thought (rather too well) about what our children like.

So I'm now having the discussion that what else would emily like FC to bring as he probably knows our friends have got the elsa dress already.

HarrogateMum · 20/12/2014 19:46

Oh soks I feel your pain! We always end up duplicating somewhere along the line with our relatives. Are they identical dresses? As I've seen a few variations and she may love two more than one!! Xx

triplets · 20/12/2014 22:27

Evening ladies..........just back from London, exhausted! Was a long 24 hours as after dinner last night we ended up choosing tracks from spotify and were all singing along until 3.30am this morning, such a laugh! Got home at 5pm, lit the fire and refused to cook, so James went up to the fish and chip shop. Was back in mins saying it was closed! I got cross really wanted fish. So waded through the Chinese menu, phoned to order only to be told it would take 60-90mins!! So J bless him went to another fish shop and it was rubbish, I mean rubbish! Mama how is Fe?

MultipleMama · 21/12/2014 00:26

Glad you had a lovely time in London. Nothing worse than paying for something that's awful and having to waste most of it because it demolished your taste buds!

Fee had a good day today. He has good and bad days and his seizures are very few and far now which is brilliant. They've managed to find a happy medium with his heart medication. He's now upto 2.5ml an hour (bm)! And more importantly he has been on the normal vent for 13 hours and so far so good!!!

Hi Girlie's
It's been a busy old week here, dec's up, shopping finally all done, both pressies and food, thank God DH got paid early on Wednesday, hospital appointments gone too, 1 for my wrist, they want to re - break and re - set it, I have decided no, I've had enough of operations, and the risk of it having to be fused like my ankle was quite high, and at the other my burns have been de sloughed and sorted. Oh, had some good news re burns though, my solicitor rang me Wednesday and said they had recieved a letter from Thomson's saying they wish to settle!! I thought they would draw it out to the last minute. I have to see an independent plastic surgeon tho.
Soks - it's a bummer about the dress, I had that happen once before, it's a real arse-ache thinking of something else.
Trips - glad you had a good time
Shabbs- a dog!! she sounds gorgeousGrin
ChopsEnvy Envy Envy Envy , that's all I can say about Australia, you lucky thing
Mama - glad things are going right atm
HM- your life sounds like mine was a few years ago, hectic with kids clubs and activities
Work has been very stressful, they are reducing the trained staff hours and supernumerary hours, so I am now chasing my tail all the time not only looking after my unit, but assisting with drug rounds on other floors. DH is also getting stressed at work, as it's their busiest time of year, tho why people want new carpets just before Christmas, when there is a high likelihood of food or drink being spilt on it is beyond meConfused
I still have all the pressies to wrap tho, and I just don't know when I will do it- We are meant to be at my BinLs tomorrow, then working tomorrow (Sunday)night, visiting my mum Monday afternoon after i have had a few hours sleep, then long day Tuesday, Early xmas eve, and then another early xmas day, no spare time at all, as I have also still need to drop off presents for relatives and prepare xmas dinner - I need at least another week to be readySad

Wouldn`t you know it, woke up this morning full of cold grrrrrrr, all year to get one and it has to be now. So whilst up at Tesco I bought some Night Nurse as I hear its good, hoping to wake up and a miracle has happened. Hope Thomsons pay up soon! Night all...xx

HarrogateMum · 22/12/2014 17:18

Hope you're ok trips!!! I am waiting in for my Asda delivery dreading some of it being missing or substitutes....I have to work tomorrow so don't want to have to drag round any more dreaded food shops.....drove past m and s food earlier and they were queueing to get in the car park! Got to pick up my beef from the butchers too but after 6pm tomorrow I am not leaving the house!

triplets · 22/12/2014 21:26

Hi HM, am tucked up in my bed, dosed up with Night Nurse which my friend swears by but didnt do a thing for me last night! Feeling really grotty, but hoping for a miracle tomorrow! Food is all bought, but its getting my head around what needs to come out of the freezer! Still havent booked accommodation for our Jan visit, must do it soon! How is everyone else? x

Minisoksmakehardwork · 22/12/2014 23:31

Bubs that's some good news about the burns. Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon.

Dress is a bugger as I've now got to locate an Anna dress. We'd planned it as a back up but actually finding one in stock now is ummm... Resulting in lots of swear words! The dress she was given is beautiful though, has lights in it and a brooch which plays a few lines from let it go. Emily's been wearing it since we came home from the hairdressers and has told me she's wearing it again tomorrow. Ours simply couldn't compete and whilst I'm still disgruntled because of the extra work it's now caused, I am more thankful for having friends who care about our children as much as we do.

Tree is up, decorated and missing lights found and also put on. Can't find the Thomas decs we bought James though. They'll turn up! Also can't find a bag with decs bought the other weekend either. Oh well.

Twins are into twiddling with everything. Jen just looks at you as if to say 'why are you telling me off mummy'. Lil sausage fell asleep on my lap today as friend dropped in - Emily and her eldest were playing nicely upstairs so I didn't want to boot them out so she could nap. It was lovely having her snuggled up on me, drinking tea and catching up. I miss those moments from when they were teeny but they're getting more affectionate lately.

Shabs, chops, rubes and HM. Hope all is well with you all.

Mama I'm guessing you're currently in the crazy depths of family. How far have they all travelled to be with you?
