Well I slept from 1.30-5am going to be so tired today an will get no sleep tonight as we leave at 2am to go to the airport. Looking forward to just getting there and hopefully putting my worries behind me. Back on the 29th. x

Minisoksmakehardwork · 18/08/2015 13:13

I'm confused. Why swap the battery and sim out of her current phone into an old one unless it's broken?

Any ideas in stinky toddlers? Joshy could give some of your boy teens a run for their money (boak). Research has suggested maybe switching to organic dairy could help so we're going to give that a whirl. As soon as we get down the mass of cheese, yoghurt and milk in the fridge.

triplets · 18/08/2015 22:09

She hasn`t put the battery or sim into the old phone, they were still in there. I think she is just hiding the sim so I cant check up. Anyway I can do no more, I lover her and am now hoping I can trust her. Off at 2am, cant sleep so its going to be a long night .Buenos noches! x

Minisoksmakehardwork · 21/08/2015 04:02

Ah. I see. Well I hope you're enjoying your time away. I can't remember how old your dd is but all you can really do is be there when it all comes crashing down (I'm mindful of my sister was dating a guy at 15 and it took as many years for that one to finally crash!!)

After all the hacking and hoo ha with whichever delight has attempted to mess with Mn I finally managed to get my password to be accepted - turns out turning cookies off wasn't helping there Blush although I do wish Mn had been a bit more proactive on sending emailed out about resetting passwords originally. I know they had a lot to send, but mine has literally just arrived!

Counting down here until Saturday when the bigs go away with the I laws. James is stuck somewhere between anxiety at missing us and excitement, wanting to pack his entire train set! It's hard work keeping him on a relatively even keel at the moment.

Hope you are all well x

bubby64 · 22/08/2015 21:24

Finally got my password accepted! !
Trips, I hope dd sorts herself out, and that you enjoy your holiday.

We have just got back from a few days down at Swanage, I have now had enough of tanks to last me a lifetime!
However, it was nice seeing my cousins, (stayed with one and visited 2 others)

Chopstheduck · 26/08/2015 14:25

I'm back! Grin

I have banana bread, and tim tams, and lamingtons. AND good coffee! Who knew that Oz does such good coffee! Smile

Hope you are all well xx

Minisoksmakehardwork · 28/08/2015 08:36

Mn is out to get me (or send me into a rage resulting in iPad nearly lost being thrown across the room).

What on earth are Tim tams and lamingtons?

The Twins have enjoyed a week free from the big two. We've had some fun moments. They've learnt to talk 'soup dragon' with the aid of a cup of water and quite possibly some persuasion by grandad!!

Chopstheduck · 28/08/2015 17:58

timtams are like penguins but much nicer (the chocolate variety). Lamingtons are sponge cakes coated in chocolate and coconut. :)

what's mn doing to you?

triplets · 30/08/2015 02:35

So whats been going on in my absence, couldnt log in, change password etc! Back from hol, managed to finally relax after trauma with dd. Came home to find 5 plastic bags full of yuk inside the house by the back door. She said she didnt know where the rubbish went, which bins to use etc, the smell!! Still feel she is hiding a lot from me, its 2.30am and she is still awake and her phone has been going........I know I am awake but I can`t sleep for the pain in my foot and a pain in my neck and head from the flight...........still it was lovely to be away. Here is the casa we rented, only yesterday I was sitting in the garden under the lemon tree!

D'ya ever wonder if you could still do the twist and not actually wet yourself in the process?
Chopstheduck · 31/08/2015 07:02

Looks beautiful trips! Bit of a contrast to the miserable weather outside today :(

Minisoksmakehardwork · 31/08/2015 20:47

Keit having to change password (finally got one it likes and i can remember), app isn't working and it took me ages to find that they've taken it down for the duration.

Anyhow, I'm back, tired, grumpy and about to have an irritable, grumpy twat of a husband home for a long weekend (wed to mon). We had a row this evening when he got in from work, because I'd dumped some stuff outside by the back door ready to go in the bins, and he reckoned it looked like a council estate!! He ignored the fact that id been busting a gut tidying/cleanjnh the kids room and fixing the rest of the broken furniture in there.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 31/08/2015 20:54

Whoops! Didn't mean to press post then. I'd also got tea ready for s change and was just about to serve it up. He goes off on one about the state of the house, doesn't sit down for tea and tries to prove a point by tidying and hoovering. Tbh all he did was piss me off as my point was I've had the dc at home, indoors all day because it's been pissing down and I'd already folded the same washing twice when the scattered it everywhere a third time. Whereas he tidied while we were sat at the table eating tea (thus occupied AND supervised). It's easy to want to bugger off out for a couple of days and leave him to it. But in reality I don't know that it would actually teach him anything. Mind, it might now Jen is officially potty training. She's doing so well. We're down to one wee accident a day, usually my fault as I forget to take her for a little too long, and I have to be quick to catch the other although she does sometimes tell me.
Anyway, dh's tea is in the oven if he wants it (he won't. Even if he's starving the stubborn idiot would sooner leave a perfectly good meal when he's in one of these moods) and I've come to bed as I'm shattered. Was awake from 2am this morning, until about 10 to 6! Then slept until 7am. Bloody shite.

triplets · 31/08/2015 22:34

Aww Soks, feel for you, had many a day like that with my dk, they just dont get it do they? Sometimes I think we should be able to just walk out, disappear and let them run the whole show............bet they wouldnt last long. xx
Well poured and thundered all day, everyone stuck in and bored. Furious with my young soldier, he is getting so above his station with his brother, thinks he is now so superior. Well he got a clip round the ear from me tonight, he shot his brother in the forehead with a bb gun, said he didn`t know it was loaded. Six months in the Army!! The found all his packed lunch I had given him y/day when he went airsofting chucked under his bed, all wasted............just told him next time he comes home I will take board money off of him........Army charge him £8 a day! DD is very quiet, not sure what is going on with her, just hope she has seen the error of her ways!! I was ill all day y/day, had such pain in my foot on Sat night I gave in and took two pain killers prescribed by my gp, within 20 mins I had the most excruciating pain around my middle and then was sick, lasted almost all day. So have binned them and will put up with it. A friend has just lent me a book called Treating Arthritis the Drug Free Way, sounds good advice in there. Wheres Shabs? Rubester? Hmmmm

ROLL CALL !

shabbs · 02/09/2015 08:36

Is it safe to be back on MNet? Gave up trying to get on. Glad you enjoyed your holiday Trips.

Nowt much happening here - Tom job searching, lost child benefit and CTC - but who needs an extra £70 a week - oh no I don't......life is a pile of shite as usual.

Interview with Atos on Monday for hubby to see if he still will qualify for the 'DLA namechange - PIPs' - so an hour at least sat with a non-medical 'professional' who will decide wether or not we lose another £55 a week - last time we went she didn't know the proper names for DH's inhalers - and I wasn't helping her with that info....she eventually wrote down 'a blue one and a brown one' - must admit to sniggering out loud at that.

On a plus note - have just taught Lew how to do the 'march of the mods' dance - bit like jazzed up line dancing. He thought it was hysterical when I said that we used to do that dance at Morecambe Pontins in the 1960's.

Hmmm so roll call only obeyed by one errant member..........hmmm

Ok.........

Chopstheduck · 03/09/2015 07:38

aww shabs, hope Tom finds something soon.

It's really shite the lack of opportunities for kids atm. It's very tempting for us to emigrate to Oz. DH works in a field in demand, and the opportunities are so much better there - the kids tell employers when they want to work! Plus the nice weather, beaches, mountains, outdoors lifestyle... But it's such a long way from family and there isn't much call for cycling instructors there!

I worked Tues morning and haven't been able to walk down stairs without wincing since - my muscles are so sore! Hoping I feel better tomorrow as I have a lot of work coming up.

Boys are back to school today, R has the dentist and then her and J are back tomorrow. We had a lovely last day of hols yesterday, took the boys to a couple of National Trust places. It's changed so much from when I was a kid - a lot more family focused and we had so much fun.

shabbs · 07/09/2015 16:20

Hiya!!

Kids back to school tomorrow yeahhhhhhhhhhh!! Lew's been really good but it has been a long 7 almost 8 weeks!!

Tom still job hunting - interview done this morning for DH's benefit....we will see what happens now.

Yay! Mine we t back Thursday. It has been a roller coaster since. The twins aren't faring too badly as they're going to get more time with me. But the big two are properly struggling with the new year. I knew james would, but emily has surprised me. I think it's the step up from infants to juniors, but still being in the same class maybe. I don't know. It's a long old term though so I'm hoping it'll settle down soon.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 18/09/2015 17:24

Oh my! What a week! (Well, 2 days actually).

shabbs · 21/09/2015 10:34

Morning girls, everybody ok?

OP posts:
Minisoksmakehardwork · 01/10/2015 07:30

Oooh. Have now realised there is a new app. So downloaded it and making my way around (not convinced I like it yet but it's a bit easier than using the mobile shite).

Madness and chaos ensues here as usual. Fil is home and taking it easy. Grandma is declining quite quickly since diagnosis. She's got an appt tomorrow to sort treatment. Mum is also going to be asking what her prognosis is. Especially as the power of attorney came back with grandmas name spelt wrong and the will person messed up and missed their appointment so mum's fretting that grandma may just peg it before everything gets finalised.

My sister is currently in hospital having had a hip operation yesterday - she was born with a dislocated hip and the original treatment has now failed/age and weight gain have caused more problems. So they were doing something which involved cutting her pelvis to sort it out. So she's going to be off her feet for a while. I promise I'm not trolling!!! It's weird how everything just seems to come all at once here. Nothing for ages and then bam!

Jen is currently on yucky ( her words) medicine for tonsillitis. Poor sausage was completely wiped out Monday so took her to Drs. They reckon we picked it up very quickly but have still given her a week long, 4 times a day course of the most vile penicillin known to children. So that's a fun task.

Joshua is a funny little boy. He's so enraged at the injustices of having to share toys. I don't know what to do about it right now.

The bigs are much the same as usual. Emily has started playing hockey, which she thoroughly enjoys. But it looks like James may be ditching the current football group. The coach for his new group is utterly useless. And James is not reacting well, messing around and so on. So we're
Looking for another group/outlet for him. Even looked for a cycling group but the nearest one is too far to make it a regular thing.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 05/10/2015 15:59

Phew! A reprieve! We've been facing eviction since fucking up big time on the mortgage. They've finally agreed our repayment plan, with much lower terms than they have previously had us paying. With barely a week to spare.

Twins are being gorgeous little munchkins though :)

triplets · 07/10/2015 23:22
