Morning girls, not a lot been going on here, half -term was dull, didn`t do a thing. Two teens spent a week in their rooms! Back to normal today thank goodness. How is everyone?

Chopstheduck · 01/06/2015 09:12

Morning girls

Big two are back today, but dts are still home. Planning to take them swimming later. Had hoped to get in lots of swimming over half term but getting another cold put paid to that!

R has mock exams this week, so has been increasingly moody - prob not helped since I wouldn't let her out unless she had done revision first! She is also going through another veggie phase, but seems more determined this time. I'm hoping paella at the weekend might tempt her round! :(

J went to the podiatrist last week and they've now decided he has one leg shorter than the other. I swear every time we go to an appointment they throw something else at him. He seems rather proud of it though!

I'm back to work tomo, got two nearly full weeks of work, going to make the most of it, probably the busiest time of year for cycle training. :)

Morning.......my sad day. 21 years today that I said goodbye to Matthew, cannot believe where those years have gone. Love you forever my darling boy. xxx

shabbs · 02/06/2015 07:37

Sending my love to you Trips - and a massive hug across the many miles that separate us. 21 years.....a lifetime and the blink of an eye all in one. Matthew would be so proud of you - I am sure of that.

There is no death so sad as that of a child - no matter how young or old that child is.

Wish I could be with you today. Take care my friend. xxxxxxxxxx

triplets · 02/06/2015 22:49

Thank you my friends........I have felt sick in my stomach all day, my head has been like a video recorder replaying that awful day, over and over and over.............it never goes away :(

Minisoksmakehardwork · 06/06/2015 11:42

Trips, I hope this week has been gentle for you. Xx

Jennifer is being little miss demanding. 3 years old and already insisting on the clothes she will wear. Currently in a Minnie Mouse dress up outfit.

triplets · 06/06/2015 23:18

Hi girls.........awful pain going on in my left foot, I went to the docs on Thurs for the x-ray result which was as I expected, all clear. So yesterday I had to go for a blood test, hate those things! If the bloods come back all clear she will send me for an MRI scan! After 5 months I am getting fed up! I will have my soldier home for two weeks leave next Frid, he is still loving it but is worn out! The regime and disclipine I tough, very tough, I am so proud of him:) Dh seems to be getting worse to me with the Parkinsons, we went to town together this morning but almost as soon as we got there he wanted to come home, said he felt very shaky and nervous, he walks quite badly now. Its such a shame as he has always been so active.........he`s a great worry to me. Night night all xx

shabbs · 07/06/2015 16:24

Nothing much happening here......except tomorrow Lew will be 7...no idea where that time went.

Glad your soldier has some leave Trips - bet you cant wait for him to get home.

xxxxx

soks it always makes me smile when I see very young children out in outfits they've picked themselves. It's so sweet, let her get on with it! :)

Happy birthday to Lew! I can't believe it has been seven years neither! x

I am sorry to hear dh isn't too good, trips. :(

I've been busy with work, another 4 day week this week. I have adults to train at the weekend, which is totally nerve-wracking! At least 10 year olds don't question me too much Grin

I'm loving the glorious weather. Did a 50 mile event yesterday with some friends, and today I'm leading a ride for some of my regular riders on a pretty route out around Windsor. Making the most of a day off!

Chopstheduck · 08/06/2015 06:55

and ds1 has just come down holding his head, one step at a time, groaning. I swear that boy deserves an oscar! I am NOT biting though

triplets · 10/06/2015 22:58

Bubbs........any idea what I can do for foot pain? This is really getting me down now, almost 6 months and its not getting better. X-ray shows it not bones, I get the blood test result this week, hoping its not nerve damage caused by diabetes! I feel its nerves........so uncomfortable. Been taking parac/ibuprof..........makes no diff and doc has prescribed Diclofenic gel......makes no diff! Still waiting for podiatry appt........grr its a real pain! Is there a magic spray that would help, anyone know? We are taking the boys to CP next week for a break and its going to spoil it for me :(

Minisoksmakehardwork · 11/06/2015 07:57

Chops - hope your malingerer is feeling better this morning.

Trips, poor you. No chance of resting helping the pain?

Twins are matching today - boring old preschool clothes. But yes, it is very cute when they choose what to wear. I might be slightly annoyed with Dh washing the Minnie dress, as his washing it as scrubbed at half the minnie transfer on it. Can't grumble really as it was E's 4 years ago! But I'd kept it nice even with machine washing it.

We've an achievement in that the international ironing pile has mostly been put away now - can't believe how many clothes the do have and that's after I've fished out all the too small stuff too! Still, kitted my niece out with most of her school uniform as a result Blush.

And now the big question - squabbling twinnies! Help! They either seem to love or hate each other at the moment. And one can be loving while the others is hating. Poor Josh wanted a Jen cuddle and squished himself in her bed, while she battered him and tried to push him out.

triplets · 12/06/2015 22:26

Rest........did someone say rest? Ha Ha............well blood test came back normal, glad its not diabetes anyway. Still none the wiser and still as painful :(
Had such a stress day, soldier boy had to make his own way home from Harrogate, I had given him all the train times, told him to get some snacks and take a drink etc. Well the train from Harrogate to York was on time, the train from York to Kings Cross was 35 mins late which meant he missed his connection from London to Deal. Then he spent the next hour in a panic texting me none stop. There had been an "incident" on the south eastern line, a suicide......poor person:( So then no trains out of London to our end, all delayed. He finally got home at 9pm, shattered! He was starving, wolfed his food down and was gone! I am on the second lot of smelly civvy clothing!

triplets · 12/06/2015 22:28

and he forgot to buy a drink all day!!

triplets · 13/06/2015 22:32

Evening girls..........overdone it today, town and back twice and mountains of and ironing that my ds brought home so my foot is really really really sore :( We are off to Center Parcs on Mon, might have to hire a bike! How is everyone?

shabbs · 14/06/2015 16:59

Hiya girls xx

Hope there is soon improvement in your foot Trips. Is it a continuous pain? Mum has arthritis in her spine and she describes it as a burning, gnawing pain?

triplets · 14/06/2015 22:11

Wotcha Shabs., yes its all the time.........I can bear I until I get the short stabbing pains which seem to radiate from the top of m foot to the toes, then I could cry :( So now I wait for an MRI. We are off to Center Parcs in the morning in Suffolk for 4 nights just with the boys, Rebecca cant have the time off of college but she didnt want to come anyway.......seems strange our first little break without her. I have written her endless lists of dos and donts.........God knows what I`ll have to come back to......one very thin cat I am thinking Confused but am really looking forward to the break. Be good in my absence! X

Have fun Trips. I've loved centre parks when we've been. Especially as we've been able to get in the pool as a family. Want to go again but taking the bikes next time.

Well today started off with madam telling me I needed to lose weight. Hmmm. Had a chat about how sometimes it's not nice to say these things. Kid seems to have no filter at the moment, blurts out what's in her head before she's thought about it. Any tips gratefully received. Am thinking about doing a rainbows activity with her where you cut out the outline of a person, then say mean things to it. Each mean thing and a piece gets torn off. Then you have to tape the pieces back together and apologise. The idea is it shows that while you can say mean things and apologise, the person will never be the same for it.

Sorry I have been awol girls, still doing night shifts, and I have just got my next rota, and it's yet another month of nights!! So -I bit the bullet and started applying for a new job. I had an interview last Friday for the one doing the DWP employment assessments, which conisted of a face to face and a written assessment, which took 3 hrs total, and I got a call today to offer me the job, but I have turned it down, I wouldn't be able to give advice, and the way the reports had to be written gave no leeway to take into account variables in how anyone would be day to day. I would always be the bad guy", with no care involved at all. However, I have also had another telephone interview for an Occ Health job which I would be happy to do, and have now been asked to do a face to face Friday.
As for home, 2 teens with raging hormones and 1 DH with low tolerance = regular arguments and misery. Sorry to say this, folks with younger kids, but the bickering and fighting are still carrying on in the teen years
Trips- have they mentioned the condition Plantar Fasciitis?? it sounds very much like the symptoms you get from that. If so, best treatments are properly designed insoles, anti inflamatories and possible steroid injections.

triplets · 17/06/2015 21:58

Hi Bubbs, gosh you are a busy bee! Good luck! No one has so far suggested anything as gp just hasnt a clue and I am still waiting for a podiatry appt, was referred at the beginning of April and been told I wont get an appt until July! Really gets me down and I dont get an ounce of sympathy from dk as all he sees is me still doing everything for everybody. Its been 6 months now since it started, gp prescribed Voltarol after me telling her I have tried it already, doesn't help at all! Boys being horrid to each other here, I just wanted them to have fun together, its costing a fortune and we may as well have stayed at home!

triplets · 17/06/2015 22:03

Just googled it Bubbs but I have no heel pain at all, its all the top of the foot to the toes.

triplets · 18/06/2015 22:42

Last night of our short break to Center Parcs and today has been lovely, no arguing, sunshine, lovely wildlife and as a treat tonight a meal at Bella Italia............home tomorrow.............dd and her friend have been all alone.............dreading it!
