Minisoksmakehardwork · 07/04/2015 07:15

Omg! I've just had an email saying my phone bill is over £300! I pay it monthly and it's normally around the £60 mark. Best find out what's going on there then.

triplets · 07/04/2015 07:52

Shock Soks are you sure its a bonafide email not a scam? Hope you find its wrong!! Lovely sunny morning, it was promised y/day and was absolutely freezing. Mind you the sun on my windows is showing up how filthy they are..............and it looks to be on the inside Blush

Trips - your Easter Sunday sounded as good as mineConfused
Boys spent yesterday glued to their xbox, DH and I went off to radio, and went out for a nice lunch on our ownSmile . Later,DH very kindly washed and did a mini service on the car (well, he is driving it the most atm, lol) then we went on a test drive on our own and somehow ended up at a little tearoom, so we decided to treat ourselves to a cream tea!
It was nice to be just the two of us.
Oh, and after talking to his eldest brother, who will not have FiL around for a meal after he upset my SiL and in laws at Christmas, DH has decided that we are not having his dad over for a meal again!! Apparently, his other brother has had problems too, and my other SiL will not welcome him, so he has really burnt his boats as far as going to his kids houses for meals in the future.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 07/04/2015 22:42

Nope. It's legit. Although I paid the last one and nothing was said then. I've had a look and they've been sending emails re exceeding broadband limits to my bt email address. Which I've never used and is also not the email address which is down for main contact and billing. So I think I may have a case to get the excess charges back as they've chosen to ignore my preferences. And if bt won't listen to my argument,I'll take it to oftel or whoever it is that governs them. Worth a try anyway. I don't deny we probably have exceeded our limit. But if they had contacted us through our usual contact methods with them, we could have picked it up sooner.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 07/04/2015 23:00

Oh, and today's trip to the woods ended up with Joshua nearly eating a bumble bee and then getting lost! Never have I had that absolute lump of ice in my stomach when I couldn't see him in the park. Keeping an eye on 6 kids meant I completely missed his escape. Thankfully two mums had him when I spotted his red sleeves though the fence. They said he'd been let out by another child whose family were leaving, but of course he then couldn't get back in and obviously he wasn't the other family's child.

I'm now resolute in making sure they have my contact details on them in those situations, same as we'd do for days out with our rainbow guides.

bubby64 · 08/04/2015 02:14

soks- I've had that cold feeling, and you feel sick too, when you lose one, J did that to me in the country park when he was about 3, all I could think of was there was a river one way and a road the other, I was running around looking for him, but also listening out with dread for the screams of other people as it would have confirmed my worst fears. I found him sat with another family at a picnic, what got to me was the fact they never even questioned who the small boy who joined them was or where he came from!! I hope you can get somewhere with BT.
I have had a letter from my credit card saying they are charging me a default fee and I have lost my preferential 0% rate as I missed a payment! I said I had not missed any payment at all, but it turns out that over the New Year bank holidays I had paid a day early rather than risk payment getting there late and it was added to the previous months payment. They then counted it as a defaulted month!! I have been on the phone to them, and they said they can see what has happened and agreed to refund the default charge, but they won't reinstate the 0% rate(they put it up to 16%!! Angry Angry) so I am also going to ombudsman as surely if they have refunded default charges they have in essence admitted I was not in default or not missed a payment, so I should also not be penalised on the interest rate!

Chopstheduck · 08/04/2015 11:09

hey girls x

bubby, I think you can reject the interest rate increase. You then have to give up the account, and you won't be able to borrow on that any longer, but if you reject the increase within 60 days you can then pay the balance off at the original interest rate. It doesn't all have to be paid off within the 60 days neither, so if you were making minimum payments you should be able to continue with that. Have a google, or I can dig out some links if you want.

Soks, BT are crap sometimes they really are! I've been getting credited each month for the past 3 months, and now have a catch up bill. We also had issues in the past house when they decided to start charging us for BT sport which had previously been free, because we were no longer in contract with them for our Infinity package. I screwed at them royally then cancelled the contract. It took a fair while but eventually they came around, refunded and gave us a discounted packae Grin email - [email protected]

Sorry to hear about the crappy easter weekends! Ours was quiet, but nice. We are loving the sunshine now, and getting in lots of bike rides. Grin The dts managed 24 miles on Sunday and were still raring to go afterwards.

bubby64 · 08/04/2015 16:00

Chops, I don't really want to give up the card, as it's my only emergency funds, I can't apply for another atm as my credit score isn't good after some trouble a couple of year's ago when we had quite significant money probs, we got it sorted, but it destroyed our score and we have been gradually building it back up. Any card I get would be a lot higher than the 16% they want to charge. Have us over a barrel reallySad Sad
Also had Sky wanting to charge us extra, I wish we lived in an area where we could get Virgin, but we have no cable here

bubby64 · 09/04/2015 10:46

Hello from a hospital ward this morning! !
J came down at 10.30pm last night crying as he had a severe pain in his meat 'n 2 veg, took one look, one side very swollen and red, so straight up A+E, he had a torsion of his left teste, so 1 emergency operation later we are now sitting here on children's ward waiting for discharge! ! Oh what a fun life we leadBlush Blush

Chopstheduck · 09/04/2015 17:25

Blimey, are you sure you aren't trolling, bubbs? WinkGrin

Poor J, you really do have the worst luck at times! It sounds nasty - is he feeling better now?

triplets · 09/04/2015 22:35

Oh blimey Bubbs poor J.....must have been sooo painful. Poor you too xx

Minisoksmakehardwork · 10/04/2015 08:48

Bloody hell Bubs! Hope you're all home and resting well now.

bubby64 · 10/04/2015 15:12

Nope, not trolling, lol, just bloody unlucky!! He's fine now, just a bit bruised and sore, and also happy he hasn't got to go back to school until next Thursday, which has annoyed M, Grin.
Poor kid was in so much pain, he was lying on the floor with his fists gripping the rug. I suspected what had happened as it is more common in boys who have had retained testes bought down, and knew that hospital was the only option, and also that we needed to be quick as I didn't want him to lose a testicle from lack of blood supply, especially as he has gone through so much to get it there in the first place, lol.
Well had last radiotherapy treatment today (whoopee!) and first physio, apparently the consultant does not like his patients to have physio until 6 weeks post op, which was Wednesday. She was surprised at the amount of movement I have, but I supppose have been doing a bit more than I was supposed to anyway, so I have gained a lot of mobility.
Also, I am going to start back to work at work on Monday, doing 3 6hr shifts for the first couple of weeks, and start building up to full time again.

triplets · 11/04/2015 11:57

Must be nice to know the treatment has finished Bubbs, how are you feeling generally? Dont let work over work you! Miserable here, grey and raining, sat on the bed resting my foot! Had pain on/off in it since Christmas, doc hasn't clue and has referred me to our local podiatry dept, the ones who made a mess of my poor Mums feet :( Was referred 4 weeks ago and heard nothing! Some days it stiff/sore some days there I nothing, but it is getting more frequent. Doesnt stop me dong anything but its getting on my nerves! My two still have another two weeks off, feels like forever! Thomas phoned last night and is still loving Army life, not long until he comes home on the 24th! :)

bubby64 · 11/04/2015 20:02

Trips - hope your foot is feeling better.

So upset here, don't know what to do. DH and I came home from shopping to find the house looking like a hurricane had gone through it, and both boys fighting. They had thrown things at each other, so items all over the place, tables tipped over, washing all over the floor, even tried to tip water at each other so living room carpet soaked, dogs were cowering in the kitchen, cats had fled the house, all over one interupting the others game downloadAngry Angry Angry Sad Sad . DH went absolutely beserk, and when J called him a foul name, I thought he was going to kill him, so I stepped in between them, them DH grabbed me by the front of my jumper am practicly threw me out the way against a wallSad . I ended up screaming at him to stop and leave the house to calm down, or i would have to call for help, which he eventually did. He has driven off, and hasn't come back yet 5 hrs later.
I made the boys clean everything up, and made it very clear to them I had to make a choice between them and their dad, or someone would have got badly hurt, and God forgive me, i chose that foul mouthed, ungrateful pair over the man I love. DH hasn't taken his phone, he hasn't gone to his brother's, I don't know where he is, and now I am getting M shout at me for "making his dad leave". What do I doSad Sad

Chopstheduck · 11/04/2015 23:15

Oh no bubby! Only just saw this. Hope he is back home or you know where he is now?

Fwiw you did the right thing. The kids were being atrocious but he shouldn't have behaved that way neither. :(

bubby64 · 12/04/2015 00:04

He's not come home yet, but I have found his car, I just hope he has booked himself into a bed n breakfast somewhere. I left a note on the car asking him to come home.

triplets · 12/04/2015 00:12

Christ Bubbs...so shocked reading this, has he hurt your back? Where was the car, near home? You have all had so much on your plate in the last few months, it was probably the thing that tipped him over the edge. But that's no excuse for what he did to you and for now causing you all such worry. Hoping he is using the time to calm down and will say sorry :(

shabbs · 12/04/2015 01:02

So sad and sorry for this situation Bubbs. I know how quickly these feelings can esculate. Wish we lived closer then I could help. xxxxxx

triplets · 12/04/2015 07:08

Bubbs hope dh is home and you are ok, like Shabs said wish we were nearer, but we are all here for you...............xx

bubby64 · 12/04/2015 10:01

I've found him, he took the caravan keys and had slept out there, I didn't even notice they were missing. I had already searched the village and gone to the local hotel and b & places, his brother and SiL were coming over to help me look as well, it didn't occur to me until this morning to look in our caravan as the door is not easily accessible where it parked, and it has no power hook up atm.

bubby64 · 12/04/2015 10:06

and I'm ok, shook me up more than hurt me yesterday, as it was at the top of our stairs again. Just so worried overnight, I was going to ring the police next, even tho it wasn't 2 4hrs, just because of the fact that he has been so down lately and finding the car abandoned like that really scared me. He doesn't want to talk atm,and that's fine, at least I know where he is.

triplets · 12/04/2015 15:06

Hang on in there Bubbs, I do hope you get an apology though. Are the boys ok?
