Hi all,
Trips -glad your lad is coming home on leave, no wonder you are so excited, hope that there isn't any bugs about to spoil things for you and him. Also, I'm glad you had a nice time in London, even tho your feet hurt you.
Soks- I agree with your DH about getting Josh's eyes done before he starts school. Also, glad you have finally got a better idea about Jen's vision.
Chops and Shabbs, been keeping up with you on FB.
As for me, after my 3 x 6hr shifts, I have already realised that I am going to struggle at work for a little while. I am going to do a couple of nights this week, and I have been told I am to stay down on the unit rather than go to the other 2 floors to help out, so although the shift is 12 hours, I shouldn't be too busy.
I am now on the Thalidomide, and I have been told I am to be on these between 6 and 18 months, depending on future scans and blood tests. I finished the radiotherapy 9 days ago. I was actually surprised at how tired the radio made me, and I think this is what made this week so hard, I just haven't got the stamina to work even a busy 6 hr day shift, I was absolutely knackered when I got home from a late on Friday.
Boys are still being very strictly monitored by us, they are behaving atm, but it doesn't take a lot to set them off. DH is also still not trusting them an inch, and his temper is still a bit of an issue atm. He also wants to get himself motorbike again, and is looking at various bikes on line all the time. He has fallen in love with one at £5,000, which is way over anything he could actually afford, even when I am back in full time work. We are still on a break from our mortgage atm, so this looking at bikes is very premature, and tbh, I'm not too keen, but, since I already have 2 boys talking about getting bikes as soon as they are 16, I suppose it better that they have a father to show them how to do things properly.
