Soks, yeah you're right. Just checked at it'll be 2 years in April. I'm losing track of my years!! According to my calculations the A-team would still be little tiny things! Smile

Hope you have a lovely day, everyone!! X

Chopstheduck · 01/01/2015 10:09

Happy new year, everyone! xxx

Soks - try couch to 5k - that was my news years resolution a few years ago, and I lost 4 stone and changed my life! I think things like ww are ok for short term, but it makes it too easy to slip back into bad habits. You need to think about sustainable change.

hmm, my new years resolutions. I have lots planned this year! Run the marathon, conquer open water swimming and do my first triathlon, build up my own group of cycling ladies, and get my Bikeability qualification! I must also make a resolution to get dd out cycling safely. She is a bloody liability on a bike atm, and I really don't have the patience to teach her, and I must make an effort. She sticks to cycle paths atm, but it would give her a lot more freedom if she could safely cycle to school.

triplets · 01/01/2015 11:01

No Soks that's not the mistake..........there will be a prize for the winner!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 01/01/2015 12:21

Ha ha ha trips! You're wishing the year away already!

I remember you saying about couch to 5k a while ago. Will def give that one a go. Will have a look tonight once the dc are settled down. I want to start as early as possible otherwise I'll only stay in my rut.

Ww works for me when I put my mind to it - I've joined after each of the dc was born and did lose weight. But finding time to go to the meetings and then the meeting I found clashing with my parenting course put paid to that this year. Plus money! They're not cheap. But I have my bike now as does dh and the dc all have new ones so the mission is on!!

I want to teach them safe cycling as the twins have the trailer so it would be nice to pootle off on our bikes. And now james is bigger and riding without stabilisers, we have the opportunity. Our village is lovely and quiet, but the main roads in and out, particularly the drain road, can be quite dangerous with idiot drivers zooming up and down. Still, would be an ideal place to teach them safe cycling and then move on to town cycling as they get more confident.

Happy New Year ladies xxx
Trips - have you been time travelling??
I was moaning to family about my work rota for the next week, was meant to be on long day today, tomorrow and night's Saturday & Sunday, but, guess what, calamity bubbs strike's again! I was getting ready for work at 6am, having dutifully only had 1 glass ofWine last night, and I fell backwards straight down our stairs! Panicked dh calls an ambulance, which considering the day only took 3/4hr to come, and I have been very lucky to have come out of it with various bruises, a nasty back sprain and mild concussion where I headbutted the front doorBlush Confused . Now off for a few days, but this is not how I wanted to start the New Year or get out of my awful work rota.
Never mind- thinking on the bright side, nothing broken, high on painkillers but staying home with my familySmile

triplets · 01/01/2015 22:22

Well spotted! Ouch Bubbs, no more accidents pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease! This is not the way to start the new year! Well today has got to be the most boring on record. Dcs did not get up until 2pm, apart from supper together only saw one of them in passing at 4pm. Tried to give dd a hug and wish her a HNY and got pushed away. Really really feel she dos not like me, have said it before, I am NOT a bad mother so why? It hurts me, she has nothing to do with any of us, and this has been going on for 4 years :( Cooked a lovely fish pie for supper, one wouldnt eat it.........no guesses! It was Mary Berrys fish pie with a soufflé topping.........no potatoes, it was fab! Did anyone watch Esio Trot, so sweet.......love Roald Dhal. Still got a head full of yuk........two weeks now, really fed up! Soon be time to get the decs down............all that hard work and couldnt enjoy it!

triplets · 02/01/2015 00:08

so moved......just watched DIYSOS about young Jack and his Mum and older brother, what a smashing lad, not not bloody fair.......bless his heart xx

MultipleMama · 02/01/2015 08:02

Watched the Autopsy of Elvis Presley last night.... I never want to be constipated again! Shock

Downloaded an app for my phone last night called Bluelight and I have to admit I did fall asleep much easier and it doesn't make my eyes hurt like it usually does, so maybe A's quiet time isn't such a bad idea to incoperate with all the DC, especially the twins who can take upto an hour to fall asleep as they chatter nonstop to each other!

Trips - I didn't spot that!!

Most of family go home tomorrow so gunna spend the day swapping the DC around and making visits to Fee so they can say goodbye to him. My G-Grandpa made me cry yesterday he said, "you will take photos for me and send them so I show off my grandson and keep his picture on my desk?" He then told me that he expects to see his all his grandchildren in Russia for Christmas and that we need to visit more before he "pops" it. His phrase would make me chuckle but he hasn't been too well recently.

Bubs - And I thought I was an accident magnet! Shock Hope you better soon and no lingering effects once your healed! Xx

I'll be so glad when the kids start back on 12th and we can get back in a routine and Halo can start to settle down and not be so overwhelmed by the changes. I also have exciting (well to me) news; Halo put his fingers in his mouth and actually mouthed them!!!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 02/01/2015 08:26

Bubs - ouch!!! Poor you. Can you refuse to get up off the sofa on the off chance you do yourself a mischief Wink please no more accidents this year!

Trips - how old is dd?

Mama - clearly your education system wishes to punish parents with the dc not going back until the 12th. Mine are back on Tuesday and it's not a moment too soon. James is not tolerating the lack of usual routine very well at all.

MultipleMama · 02/01/2015 08:59

Xmas holiday ends on 9th which is Friday so it'll be Monday they start and then they're off again in February! Then Easter! Hmm

shabbadabbadingdong · 02/01/2015 11:26

Morning girls - Xmas decorations/tree are down - couldnt cope with them anymore.....finally a clean house!!!

bubby64 · 02/01/2015 14:53

My 2 go back on Wednesday, can't wait, but got to get school shoes for J before then as his fell apart last week of term.
i am still very sore, great way to start the new year, DH says he is going to buy me one of those padded sumo wrestling suits to keep me from hurting myselfBlush
As I am sore, I can't take dec's down yet, but will have to wait until DH is home to do that.
Trips - it's not just you with your dd, my friends dd is exactly the same with her, and her daughter used to be such a loving, cuddly child, now she acts as if her mum is the wicked witch of the west with the plague thrown in! My friend said to me the other day she had has no idea what she has done wrong, but I told her that her dd is just "that age" and that she will grow out of it.

MultipleMama · 02/01/2015 21:11

This morning I peed on 7 sticks... guess the outcome. Time for a hard discussion and some tough decisions...

HarrogateMum · 02/01/2015 23:20

Did you want more children mama?

triplets · 02/01/2015 23:23

OMG Mama tell me its not true??

triplets · 02/01/2015 23:40

Mama are you out to shock us............its not April 1st you know.......when did you find time??

triplets · 02/01/2015 23:43

Thanks Bubbs for your kind words, its so hard when one minute they are the sweetest little girl, change school then turn into someone I just don`t know anymore............so sad. How are you feeling?

bubby64 · 02/01/2015 23:57

hospital rang me this afternoon, they have found out I had managed to fracture a bone in my spine after all, luckily it's a stable wedge fracture, but I will have to be fitted with a back brace Monday - I can't believe this is happening to me, it's just not possible Confused Sad

triplets · 03/01/2015 00:01

Oh Bubby, no! Poor poor you, do you know how long you will have to wear it?

triplets · 03/01/2015 00:05

Sorry Soks just seen your question the trio will be 17 on the 27th Jan, got dks b/day on the 17th! Very difficult just after Christmas!

MultipleMama · 03/01/2015 00:36

HM - We agreed to stop after the A-team but I was already unknowingly pregnant with Fee. But no, we didn't want anymore and we had talked about birth control and looking at options.

Trips, we have our ways! Blush

We were stupid and irresponsible especially regarding all the talks we had and dealing with another baby in NICU. Now, we have to figure out what we're going to do but what we decide has to be what's best for the children we already have then we'll have to deal with the consequences. No one to blame but us. We didn't want another, the timing is terrible, we're not ready, DH is going back to University, I wanted to start working from home again, Halo is still difficult, Fee in NICU. The cons of having this baby are piling up... I have no idea what to think or what the right desicion is, DH thinks we should really consider abortion and book an appointment to discuss options. I can't wrap my mind around it.

Of course your not a bad mum, Trips, she's lucky to have a mum who's concerned for her and who wants to be involved her life and interested in what she does! :) Hopefully by the time she's 18 she'll have already grown out if it.

shabbadabbadingdong · 03/01/2015 00:39

Mamma......cannot believe you are pregnant again....after Gareth and then Matt died the last thing on my mind was having another baby. Each to their own as my beloved Dad would say but.........dont know how you find the time. Dont know how you cope with every day that passes.....beyond my thoughts!!

MultipleMama · 03/01/2015 00:41

Oh God, Bubs! Thank God it was nothing worse and all that moving having made it worse. How come they missed it or did they just say they'd call you for a follow-up? A back brace sounds awful and restricting, and will it aggitate your burns? Hopefully your work are understanding. Such bad luck, bubs! Xx

MultipleMama · 03/01/2015 00:47

Shabs, it wasn't on my mind either. We took comfort in each other in the only way we knew how to feel someday, stop feeling numb and tired and were very careless at some points. We were just a mess, in no state to afford mistakes, but it happened and now we're here again. Going to phone the doctor on Monday; discuss options. I don't think we can keep this baby...

shabbadabbadingdong · 03/01/2015 00:53

You should not say that you dont think you can keep this baby.........the death of a loved one.....especially a precious, totally precious baby is overwhelming. I am not trying to tell you what to do....I am not like that. All I am saying is - if this is for real - think carefully about what you are doing. I have followed a tiny white coffin and a bigger pine coffin down two separate aisles and it is NOT FUN........think carefully what you are doing because if you are out to shock people I give in you have shocked me. The death of a child is overwhelming.
