A new thread!
Especially for throckenholt

I was hoping the original one would go to 1000, but it was gettign a but annoying scrolling all the way done, so come over here instead.

How is everyone coping with the school holidays?

I'm fed up with the rubbish weather, as we're stuck in the house too much. I daren't take them to soft play as it packed during the hols and then I can't watch all four of them. Plus it costs a fortune.
Mine are changing so much. Rav is becoming a right wuss, scared of new places. I suppose it shows awareness, but it is annoying when I've driven miles for a nice day out and he just wants to sit and whine because he is too scared to go on anything! Shay is developing his houdini skills, and now has a tendancy to bolt out of parks so I have to watch him like a hawk. I must dig out the reins before we go on holiday.

Hmmm, that's DD having nice table manners - obviously CFMother has!!!

MarsLady · 02/10/2006 12:32

Hiya DD. Good to see you. Well done for getting to 38 weeks. I got to 36+4.

Hope the babies are in a good position. Try not to go into labour next Thursday as I need to concentrate on my exam and I don't think me jumping up and down in my seat saying... I wonder if Doris has given birth yet?.... would go down too well. lol

Anyway, my five minute lunch break is almost over! Kisses

frumpygrumpy · 02/10/2006 13:48

My favourite MN moment of the day is doris doing a morecambe and wise dance at 9months pregnant with DTs .

Went to a party on Saturday night for 1 or 2 glasses of wine - don't know what happened, I drank faaaaaaar tooo much and I'm still paying for it

triplets · 03/10/2006 00:13

Hi Marslady,
Have I been missed? Still here. having my ups and downs, more downs than ups lately! Sat here now with a 24 hour blood pressure monitor pumping away, how exciting is that! No I haven`t been on this topic for a while, though I well and truly qualify with my three! They are now eight and a half, and I have never felt sooooooooo exhausted, still a week today and we will be in Florida, hooray, hope it does me good, I am in need!

leogaela · 03/10/2006 07:40

I've only been around here for a little while and I'm also really excited about Doris giving birth! Doris its great to hear you so upbeat, happy and excited!

Triplets, I've scanned through the original thread of this one and after reading your posts at the beginning I did search to find some more. Its great that you are back !
I hope that you manage to find some time to relax on holiday and get some energy back. It should definitely help to turn the downs into ups.

KellyKrueger1978 · 03/10/2006 08:14

Hello triplets, good to see you. Glad things have been good for you. I guess a few downs are par for the course with multiples. Hope you have a great holiday.
You must visit more, you the only person round here that can make us feel lucky for only having two at one sitting. How are they doing?

KellyKrueger1978 · 03/10/2006 08:15

Oh I can't wait for doris's birth announcement. You have to let us know asap, sending lots of positive birth vibes your way!

frumpygrumpy · 03/10/2006 10:36

Hi Triplets, glad you popped in on this thread! We regularly have ups, downs, the odd slice of cake and the ocassional glass of vimto , all welcome, no matter what you have to say. Thats gret news about your holiday! If they offer you and DH an upgrade will you take it and leave your 3 up the back of the plane???

Good to have you back x.

frumpygrumpy · 03/10/2006 10:38

GO DORIS GIRL! Have we had a birth on this thread yet? I'm not sure we have.....think we all come on after we've worn ourselves out trying to be 'NORMAL' .

triplets · 03/10/2006 14:17

Gosh, didn`t realize I was so missed! You are a great bunch and yes having two at once must be a doddle

blackCATsandbroomsticksJ · 03/10/2006 16:41

AAARRRGGHH! Is it "wine o'clock" yet?
I made the mistake of going shopping with the dt's and then on to the hospital to see dd4. (I did think of asking for some sedation-not sure who needs it most though ).

Hello to anyone I haven't "met" yet.

KellyKrueger1978 · 03/10/2006 16:43

one hour and 18 mins to go, I'm counting down!
Hope dd4 ok?

MarsLady · 03/10/2006 16:46

Definitely wine o'clock!

Overrun · 03/10/2006 16:46

Been a tough day today, due to my heavy cold. the boys don't seem too bothered by theirs but leave the usual snail trails all over me and the furniture.
Counting down the hours till dh gets home and I can put my feet up.

blackCATsandbroomsticksJ · 03/10/2006 16:49

Meet you here later then for a glass or two?
Dd4 has a heart condition and has been in hospital for most of the last 6 months (she was born in March). Its been a long haul but she should be coming home very soon (scary thought!).

KellyKrueger1978 · 03/10/2006 16:54

ooh I didn't know. best wishes to you all, hope she is home with you very soon.

frumpygrumpy · 03/10/2006 20:17

Wine o'clock happens for me when the sun gos down in Sydney.....my baby brother lives in Oz and thats how they judge it. They are a few hours behind Sydney and I'm 7 or so behind that but it works for me .

Didn't realise your dd was in hospital, that must be so hard for you all. When my dd was in hospital last christmas it broke my heart leaving her for an hour while I ran home to see the DTs. I agree though, that after so long it must be daunting thinking of settling her at home along with your others. Is her heart condition permanent or treatable?

Triplets, once a part of this thread always a part of it honey!

My DTs have a horrid bug, very tight barking coughs and temps, sigh, the season begins. I'm having a glass of white and if I behave very well, I'll send myself to bed early.

devondoris · 03/10/2006 23:34

Still here, still here.... Just trying to decide whether to go for a sweep tomorrow at my midwife appointment... So thought I'd pop in to see if anyone else was still up. Had the reflexology appointment on Monday and there's been some more crunchings going on, but nothing proper. I'm in the limbo of I've got to 38 weeks, DH has only 5 weeks leave before he's back to London, should I properly think about kicking the boys out or should I be a good parent and leave them to decide for themselves... because I'm not overdue! Keep having to go back to this thought. DD came at 40 weeks so that's probably my gestation time.... Arrrrgh! I am actually still fine and happy, but just have to get some clarity before I see the midwife at 10.15 tomorrow. I think I'm heading to leaving it til next week, but... there are so many scary stories as well as the good ones. AND the longer we go the less time I have with DH and my Mum's support... Just like last time really, but it was only one baby then!

Hey ho, to bed, to bed, said sleepy head! Will pop in again tomorrow in between taking DD to school and The Appointment.

MarsLady · 04/10/2006 00:02

No sweeping honey! Just let it happen when it happens. Won't be long.

devondoris · 04/10/2006 07:50

Have I chanced upon the ghost of Hamlet's father? Or a playful breeze on which a small voice floats.... a wonderful small voice of reason and normality... Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I will go armed with my Egyptian research that says if there are no maternal or foetal complications there is no reason to induce twins. I printed extra copies for any medical types who may require a bit of extra reading. Aren't my health people lucky to have me!!!!

No crunches last night, so we'll see what today brings.

Love, love to all and thanks for those vibes. Support is a fantastic thing. xx d

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2006 13:14

Hi Doris, its a hard one especially since your DH and mum's help is valuable.....but I'd be inclined to just relax and enjoy having him around and take it easy for as long as you can. I went to 41 weeks and I remember it feeling like an eternity because I'd been prepared to expect them months before! Think of it as the longer they are in the heavier they'll be the more likely they'll go 3 hours between feeds . Tried the old reliables, curry and sex? Probably just give you dodgy bowels and sore knees LOL!!!! Keep posting, its getting tense on here!!

I'm having a crap day, really feeling down and don't know where it came from .

KellyKrueger1978 · 04/10/2006 13:24

agre with fg regardign the feeds! Mine were 6lb and 6lb7, good weight for twins but after having an 8lb and a 9lb7 I really noticed the different. I thought it was wonderful having really diddy little babies until I realised they would want feeding every two hours

Hi fg, sorry to hear you havign a shit day. I'm alls tressed again too, we will have to hook up at wine oclock and drown our sorrows

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2006 14:03

Thanks honey. I think I need to work harder really. Work harder at getting more sleep and not allowing life to stress me so much (it does though). I don't need to have 'me' time as such I just need to feel I'm achieving and not just (!!) dealing with the daily stuff. I'm all worked up just now about my list of stuff do to. I never get passed the daily bits and if I could achieve my list I'd be GREAT.

I also get PMT type symptoms most of the month and get my whole, very heavy period in one day, after days of it trying to come. It floors me with tiredness and discomfort and nausea. JOY. If I can resist the wine bottle I will but .........might slick on some lippy and join you here later so we can be crabbit together .

frumpygrumpy · 04/10/2006 14:07

And I just ate two HUGE slabs of chocolate cake that my mum brought for DPs birthday and I DON'T EVEN LIKE CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR PEPPA PIGS SAKE!!!

Lots of love FG LARDASS.

KellyKrueger1978 · 04/10/2006 14:31

lol @ lardarse! It really should have been lemon drizzle cake, now that is nice!
Can't yopu go on the pill or soemthing to even you out a bit, that sounds horrendous.
