Hi everyone...

I just wanted to write and gloat with everyone on just how exceptionally beautiful multicultural / mixed children are!!!!

dd is 6 months... she is 1/4 vietnamese, 1/4 Amercian, 1/4 socttish and the rest is english, irish, spanish and morrocan.

Mummy may be biased, but she thinks dd is the most beautiful thing... asian shaped eyes... but big like mine... they are slate grey/blue with flecks of brown in the middle and shes got light brown hair...

thought would be nice to see lots of other pics and stories of other families... to sort of celebrate our moggy family (did think of calling her Mog... but then, I do want dd to have SOME friends at school!!!

No, I don't think white people are inferior. I don't think anyone is inferior to anyone else. But I think you have made a rude and bigoted remark and refused to take proper responsibility for it.

That is what you said Jenny just in acse you forgot and that is the only post of yours I have a problem with, I have understood every post you made since then but I do agree that you need to except that this first post was not worded correctly and can very easily cause offence.

no as I was trying to be postive about multicultral familes - the title of this thread, anyone notice that???I should have said yes they are good!!! but oooops better not say that , I mean everyone on the planet is good and my child i cannot say whether he is good or not in case i offend anyone, might be beautiful but that is divisive so maybe he is just neither here nor there

I am not any of the things I was accused of being. it has been explained, for those who did not get it, and yet you all chose to stay offended? even after I explained ? well why ? Oh dear. I wonder if someone thought is was safe to make a comment, thinking only likeminded people would be reading? Quite dangerous. All babies are gorgeous (especially mine....only joking)including your vanilla white ones stinkweasel. We could start a new thread...."aren't all our babies totally gorgeous"....!!

I think the problem was Expecting that the poster involved stated that a certain group was better than another group of children, if she had said her child was better than anyone elses then I could have understood because we all think like that, but to state that a whole group of children are better than another is just damn rude and upsetting.

Also I don't think she made matters any better for herself by being so rude to anyone who got a bit upset by what she said.

Hopefully the message that person has received is that it is never safe to post racist remarks on the internet!! I agree ALL babies are beautiful and precious - but I admit to a particular soft spot for mine!!! (Their personalities aren't vanilla...more like tabasco and mustard!!!!)

Also have to agree with Hattie05. Maybe I've just read one too many Patricia Cornwall/Kathy Reichs etc novel but as proud of your baby you may be, it could be a bit too much exposure to give access to complete photo albums of your entire family and friends on an open website that anyone can view? Only my paranoid opinion .... but this world can be a big bad place ....

Yes, I have to say I find it weird when people go on like this about mixed race children. I feel distinctly uncomfortable. So many people comment that mixed race children are great looking that I feel like muttering "yeah well I always wanted a brown baby" - a la Waynetta Slob. And if in a mixed relationship the pressure to have a gorgeous baby.....oooh it doesn't bear thinking about. God help anyone whose baby doesn't measure up!!!

enough it was not racist leave it alone!!!!!Alone!!!! also how come you are on this thread ? is it not intrinsically racist from the title??? you are trying to make other people's intentions into something ugly , stop trying to put words in other peoples mouths, and then ignoring the other posts spelling out the intent which was not racist
