How much is your mortgage?

Birchwoods · 27/01/2026 13:58

How much is your total amount owed and what are your monthly payments?

I know the answers will vary hugely but I’m curious as to what other people pay.

Our outstanding amount is £275k and we pay around £1600 per month.

156k
800 per month
Overpay on top of that £200

organisedadmin · 27/01/2026 14:47

Surely this is pointless unless you ask for ages? A 60 yr old who got on the ladder 35 yrs ago will have a very different answer to a 30 yr FTB.

ImAGummyBear · 27/01/2026 14:50

I agree we should add ages…
Just under 300k
around 2k a month
and we both turned 50 last year

alcoholfreelife · 27/01/2026 14:51

308k remaining and we pay £2200 per month

LovingLimePeer · 27/01/2026 15:00

£293
Payments: £2.87 per month.
We can't pay it off in full without early redemption charges until 2029.

Dani25 · 27/01/2026 15:03

£123k remaining, payments are £1000 per month, mortgage term left 14 years.

Are you really paying just £2.87 per month for the next three years?

rainandshine38 · 27/01/2026 15:08

£63k left and we pay £1150 a month

HeadyLamarr · 27/01/2026 15:08

Lakeyloo · 27/01/2026 15:11

crumpetandcoffee · 27/01/2026 15:22

85k. Paying 798 per month.

ACynicalDad · 27/01/2026 15:23

190000 left 1350 payment, likely to fall when we renew so may shorten the term.

JacCharlton · 27/01/2026 15:26

£1350 and I have a mortgage of £300,000

CoolDipCanineLover · 27/01/2026 15:33

£110k left on mortgage. I pay £700 a month for that plus an overpayment of £400.
Edit: I'm 54yo and recently separated - I was mortgage free with my ex but he bought me out and I had to buy a new house for me and my son. Hoping to get it paid off in the next 10 years.

speakingofart · 27/01/2026 15:35

£169k, 38 and £979 a month although I pay £1300. Terrifies me but what’s the choice these days!

Barrenfieldoffucks · 27/01/2026 15:36

About £85k, and £585. We over pay to around £700 though from memory

FancyCatSlave · 27/01/2026 15:38

£1200 ish- varies as part of it is variable rate.
About £206k balance.

House is for sale though due to divorce. My new mortgage on my own I am aiming for £165k max, preferably £150k which will be £800-900 ish

snowlaser · 27/01/2026 15:39

£275k and £1,735 per month. I also make overpayments.

Radiatorvalves · 27/01/2026 15:41

It was £650k, now we have about £40k to go and should pay off early in ‘27. Paying about £2,500 a month, but regular overpayments of £1000 and ad hoc other overpayments. We are 55,58.

scaredfriend · 27/01/2026 15:42
