Just as title says really. I have not put the heating on so far. Just wondering its not my mindset that's actually preventing me or making me feel i dont need it.

Not on in my house yet. Was 16 yesterday but fine when you keep moving or use blankets.

Not yet but we have a naturally warm house and live in South. So we've managed to get by just with warm clothes this far. Hoping to stretch it out another couple of weeks...

I have my hive set to 17 and according to the app it went on for 2 mins today, however I left some windows open to air the place before I left for work

Those who haven’t used heating yet

are you on your own or have kids

we are putting on for our daughter 5. It’s too cold for her esp in am eating breakie

a 30m boost does wonders

maybe if no kids I may not have used yet. Not sure

I have a teen who feels the cold less than me. He's been the same at least since he was four or five, we lived in a very cold house when he was that age and he'd be happily playing on the floor while I was wrapped up on the sofa. He had a cough all winter in that house so I do get the need to keep kids warm, but I'm talking as low as single digits. I wouldn't worry about a child of any age in my house now at 16 to 18 degrees.

No. In London and still wearing tee-shirts indoors. It's been rather mild so far.

I don’t think it’s anywhere near cold enough to even think about putting the heating on where I am. It’s still pretty warm. I’ve just moved on to putting a thin jumper on and wearing slippers.

jewishmum · 13/10/2022 19:51

I've taken to my bed in the evenings to keep my feet warm, scrolling through Vinted trying to thrift some warm slippers that don't look like they smell.

ODFOx · 14/10/2022 15:58

It hasn't been cold enough here yet. I did put a jumper on one evening but if I'm alright in a shirt I'm not worrying about the heating yet.

Ray92 · 14/10/2022 16:10

Mine comes on in the middle of the night and I'm too daft and tired to work out how to not make it do that.

IconicKitty · 15/10/2022 19:57

Not yet, but I'm in the south and the house is a new build that doesn't get too cold. I want to wait until November if possible, and the forecast isn't looking too cold so that may be achievable.
