You wise people might be able to answer me!
We've been taught to beware of scammers. How do we know agent millions is genuine and just not some joker? I've always pondered this about a person on my doorstep wanting to give me £1m.
Extra prizes look good. Usually get £25 so hoping might getting more with the bigger prizes!

Alltheprettyseahorses · 29/09/2022 08:42

DD has £1500 in premium bonds and has won £75 in the last year so that's a really good return on investment. Winning the jackpot this month would be nice though, but what happens if you're not in when agent millions calls? Say you're on holiday or working away. Would they keep trying or do you get a call or letter instead?

My best guess is that they'll be giving you money instead of asking you for it!!

I think they have ID etc though.

If you're not in then they call the number they have on file and ask if / when you can come home. During covid they were notifying over the phone so I'm sure they will just do this if you're away

PurplePositivity · 29/09/2022 08:47

It'll be interesting to see if we have any bigger wins than £25 in October.

🤞

sm40 · 29/09/2022 08:49

I know they are giving the money but with so many people wanting me to confirm my identity before we talk further (bank, bills etc) will they ask for anything or do the just say 'hello, you've won £1m, it will be in your bank account tomorrow, do you need investment advice, goodbye.'

Eeeek no idea I'm afraid but I hope one day to find out 😆

I get excited about this time every month and often think how it all works!

I was also thinking this... do they ask to come in? Or do they discuss everything on the doorstep? if someone said "you've won a million pounds please can I come in" I'm not sure whether I'd be too suspicious!!

Alltheprettyseahorses · 29/09/2022 09:02

Thanks SunnySusan83 - I'm now imagining poor agent million travelling hundreds of miles to find no one home for the 6th month in a row and wishing the office would start ringing first.

Sally090807 · 29/09/2022 09:13

I have a decent amount in premium bonds and held for 3 years now and have never won more than £50 in a month so has any holders here won a considerable amount? My aunt also held £42k worth for over 40 years and never had a big win either.

OublietteBravo · 29/09/2022 09:45

Checking in. I’m away Friday-Sunday. Hope I don’t miss a visit from Agent Million Grin

OublietteBravo · 29/09/2022 09:46

I won a £500 prize @Sally090807 - but nothing bigger than that (yet)

onmywayamarillo · 29/09/2022 09:47

Cleared out my mothers flat and found some from the 1950's, 70's and 2003

No idea what to do with them.

I have £100 worth which DF gave me years ago. Won £25 once. I had a letter recently, asking me to update my details ( never thought to do that when we moved). Now hoping there might be an unclaimed prize!

This happened to DH recently and he got 2x £25 cheques!

My mum has one from her aunt and she is having to fill in a form to draw it out I think.

onmywayamarillo · 29/09/2022 10:46

Thanks @Raindancer411 I'll go and look at the nsi website

UrsulaPandress · 29/09/2022 11:20

I’ve just purchased some more bonds this morning to take me back to full holdings. I presumed this would be eligible for November’s draw but if October’s is done today will I miss out? Just musing.

My biggest has been £500. In the last 6 months I have won £725. The £225 was all £25 wins.

But £500 is the most I have had. The kids have all been £25.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/09/2022 11:53

@onmywayamarillo

You will have to cash them in. Then buy in your name

don’t think can transfer to you

@SpringCalling have you never been on my pb threads. I’ve done them for a while

I will run the hoover around later, ready for the Agent Millions’ visit.

Derbybound2022 · 29/09/2022 12:01

Good luck all. Thanks for sharing the new breakdown in prizes.

sm40 · 29/09/2022 12:04

You need to wait 30 days from buying your bonds before they are eligible or something like that. It's on the site. Stops you buying on the 28th and cashing out a week later every month (that's my reasoning). So they should be in the next draw.

Myleakycauldron · 29/09/2022 17:23

I hope to be able to update you on the process once Agent Million has been over tomorrow (although house looks like it has been ransacked at the moment).
