New thread for when old one is full and for October - exciting time as lots more prizes for October - less £25 ones but many more £50

Friday 30th is last working day of the month so maybe one of us will get THAT VISIT - saying won a million - blondes faints

wouldn’t it be lovely if we all won something even £50 in October

2 x £50 for me on £33k.

I may move some money out though as I've just signed up for a First Direct Regular Saver account that's giving me 7%.

nothing for me, dh or 3 dc this month. First month in ages that no one has won anything

Nothing for me on £25k. First month in perhaps a year with nothing so I can’t complain really. Congrats to those who won something!

£125 for me on £50k. Had £50 in Dec, £100 in Nov and £50 in Oct.

£75 on full holdings for me.

Nothing again! My bank is offering 3% interest now so I will make more by moving it, only problem is that it's easier to access and therefore spend

£100 on FH

I did that in dec. I got 0.3% in 2022 on my PB and I can get 3% on at least some of it elsewhere. I’m becoming more disappointed with the return on PBs the longer I have them, really poor value at the moment

£50 on FH for me. I really need to move them to a better account but keep leaving it in for "just one more month"

I’m really only keeping it here as I don’t want the hassle of having to pay tax if I go above £1,000 interest, which I would if I moved this to a decent bank account.

So what would 3% be on 50,000? I mean, I can do the maths, but does the interest come annually or monthly, as it would be more if it compounded monthly?

I think it depends on the account - you could put it in a fixed rate account as an earlier poster suggested, getting up to £200 per month as for some and you can set them to pay out monthly.
Would need to factor in tax but a nice little guaranteed boost per month for sure

But then no flutters of excitement every month waiting for a knock at the door!

i added up all my winnings today and have won £550 in 2 years with holding varying between £5K and £18k at its highest.

It’s been worth it for me. I have to take out £4.5K this month though to pay my tax ☹️

£250 for me on nearly full holdings! Best I've ever had - came out as

2 x 50
2 x 25

I got 1 x £100 and 1 x £50 FH.
DH fh got nothing.
DS got nothing £10,000.

That's exactly what I got! Husband also got £150 so we had a good month between us!
