Surveys – there are tons of websites, but the majority are for pennies. Do a google search for ‘paid surveys’, but beware of websites touting affiliate links. The only one I would recommend is:

So after failing Pop* twice I have now had an e-mail saying I passed - I didn't but was very close so I guess they decided to take me anyway. Hope that means they have lots of work and need people on it.

Anyone else on that? Do I now wait to be sent a link to start working?

I got one asking me to do another non assessed evaluation quiz and I'd be added! Didn't even do the quiz but it says I passed 🤔

Getting pissed off with paypal
Last month they froze my account until I provided ID because my payment from Appen was significantly more than normal.
This month they've put my payment from Crisp on hold for up to 21 days because it's more than normal too.

Can anyone who gets paid by bank transfer from Crisp - does it take any longer than paypal payments, and are there any fees involved? (paypal take about 3% )

@rhij86 I get paid by bank transfer, I'm not sure if it takes any longer but there are no fees (which is why I opted for it over paypal!).

@Buster27 thanks, have you been paid yet this month?

@rhij86 No, I haven't submitted my invoice yet (I'm a bit slow at getting round to it when I've only done the minimum! ). Last month I got paid four days after submitting (submitted on a Mon, paid on the Fri) and the month before that 5 days (submitted on a Thur, paid on the Tue).

@Buster27 oh that sounds about the same as me then, I might contact them and ask to change my payment method!

Last week I was saying how Appen SprP***t was far too stressful and not really in line with how people get round town (to take photos of things), and a woman came out of a shop and told me to stop taking photos, so I gave up and went home.

Well I've just received an email from Appen, saying that for the next two weeks, they're going to be paying 20% extra for all the SprP***t jobs completed. Something tells me it's because nobody wants to do it . It makes me feel better now, as I'm convinced I'm not the only person who gave up and went home. And they clearly didn't consult any actual Londoners during the planning process.

Apart from BeMyEye, Shepper and Roamler, are there any other "walking around and taking photos of stuff" apps?

Looks like it's only in London, yes. But the jobs have been there for ages and nobody seems to want to do it, unless I've missed something.

Because they want multiple photos and it's really intrusive and annoying people.

Email to say I’ve been blocked from P*pple! Hadn’t even been able to do any work yet. Back to square one.

Joining you again. Was here waaaay back in the very beginning and have come and gone since. (I'm the lucky recipient of the Am*r peephole bra and cowboy boots )

I'm still potato-ing and picked up my first ever shift this morning but am now wondering if I did it wrong- usual interface etc but there weren't many potatoes there to start with, and in the hour there were loads of waiting for content. Should I have been somewhere else?

Am accepted onto 5 different Ap*ens. Sadly all on SRT/China. One SRT link came through a week after the project finished. which seems to be fairly usual.

Prolific seems dead, but am guessing academics are on their way back into their offices about now so fingers crossed.

I was in central London yesterday and had a spare couple of hours so had a quick look at the Ap SP**t but couldn't work out if I had to do all the spots in a polygon in the 12 hours or not, so didn't bother. Plus some were just stupid (one is the Members Cafe in the NHM which you can't get into the building at all without a ticket at the moment). And they are really badly laid out - they should be in smaller polygons.

So much for 10+ hours a week, I logged on everytime they had work last month and made about $12, $4 of that was being paid to take the test! No idea why they had chucked me as a few weeks ago they invited me to the moderator test as my scores were apparently so good! Gutted

I've finally got the hang of Potato keyboard controls and Wowzer! I did £55 yesterday, more than I've ever had to invoice them for

In a wonderful example of sods law, I have finished pt 2 of Yu*n and KNOW I got 2 wrong, checked emails and LB/Telus have offered me Internet Safety evaluator which has the same client so if I have effed up the Yu*n exam I've already excluded myself from that as well.

Meh.

Oh and they want me to take the Po*e exam, I'm not keen.

@lilmishap, oh no! You never know. You might still have passed. Fingers crossed. I am still to take the Yu**n exam. Had to delay it again due to stuff going on and no time to read GL. Have scheduled for end of September. I'm not sure it's my thing though. Just can't seem to get my head around it at all.

I got invited to Pop**e twice but when ever I get the email to take the exam and click on the link, it just goes back to the main App page and there is no obvious option to take the exam so I give up.

Not much else here really. A bit of LB and desperately wanted a Mal*a project but looks like it's not to be for now. September lloks like another slow month for me.
