@CocoPrivileges no I didn't get that email. I had looked up under the filter transcription projects and it came up. Maybe I don't have access or project has stopped that's why I can't hear the audio. Thanks for your help. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else from them.

Tattiespuds · 28/10/2020 21:39

@loneranger1 Thanks i defo will, I'm getting to grips with crisp etc first then I'm going to seriously look in matched betting,

Gatekeeper · 28/10/2020 21:40

Not got that email Rad....bums

Buster27 · 28/10/2020 21:46

I haven't received an email for a* today either.

seizethecuttlefish · 28/10/2020 21:51

Doesn't look like I got selected for Am, no email for me SadI did get the exam for Ra through but none of the guidelines are opening, which is frustrating. I've message as there's no way I can complete it without the guide.

I really need to get my act together with potato. Another quiet month but I'm finding it soul destroying.

MrsPretzels · 28/10/2020 22:16

@Rad2016 I received the availability email too and just filled in the surveys. It asked me to confirm that I'm able to participate in the round starting November 2nd but have just seen the message on the homepage. Ah well, we shall soon find out I guess!

Buster27 · 28/10/2020 23:40

Ah I'd already filled out the survey so hopefully that's why I didn't receive the email. I guess time will tell!

margaritasbythesea · 29/10/2020 08:18

Can anyone help me with S**a on Appen. I have been accepted but never actually added to the tool. Now they have asked me to set up an SRT account but I xan't do it. They asked me to do it using a particular email address, which is not real but when I put it in they send an activation code to it, which obviously I can't get. I have sent tickets and looked in social but with no success.

Also finding New*h really glitchy. Sometimes I can reach it sometimes not. Anyone else.

Littlegoth · 29/10/2020 08:45

Please can I ask an Appen Q? Whenever I log in I just get a message saying no opportunities and an option to deactivate my account, but I’ve recently had an email inviting me to a project which I can’t access via log in or apply to using the express page. I’ve emailed support but reading through the thread some of you have mentioned a projects tab which I just don’t see and I wanted to check if I’ve missed something. Tia x

TeddyDidIt · 29/10/2020 09:10

I got that email too @Rad2016 and it says Work this for A** on my projects now... Looks like it will be a case of wit and see on Monday!

Azerothi · 29/10/2020 09:14

I had missed that about a delay with Appen Am@r. I was so ready for it as well!

Rad2016 · 29/10/2020 09:20

I know guys. Let's wait and see

seizethecuttlefish · 29/10/2020 09:48

@margaritasbythesea the code will come into the account you have with A. Check your junk folder. Failing that, email support. I had a few issues at first and they had to set up up again.

lannister · 29/10/2020 09:55

@Tattiespuds I've never rated 450 items in an hour on potato more like 140 on average. Didn't even know that was a requirement? Been on it a little while and I only do the minimum to keep me on the project, the rate is just not worth it for me to spend hours on it

margaritasbythesea · 29/10/2020 10:06

Thanks seizethecuttlefish. I shall hold tight then.

MrsWombat · 29/10/2020 10:16

@Tattiespuds You will get quicker. It took me 2-3 months to get going at a decent rate. I would recommend doing at least 15 mins every day until you get used to things and definitely jump on when there is a surge. You can definitely earn £8-10 for the equivalent of an hour when it's busy and the items are coming through fast and that's before a surge. It's more a case of you wouldn't want to be on there all day every day or you'll go potty. Grin

Freshprincess · 29/10/2020 10:19

@Tattiespuds blimey I get nowhere near 450 per hour, I just can’t see how that’s possible and maintain quality. I probably do around 150 if the queues are busy, less if there’s not much content around. I’ve been on when there’s been double digits in both queues and it’s really slow.

Keep an eye out for the surges (get slack on your phone) and try to get online then if you can. It can make a big difference to your PPI rate.
I imagine it’s going to be really busy next week with the election.

UselessTrees · 29/10/2020 10:45

Fingers crossed for everybody waiting for A**r news. I've done it for the last three months so happy to answer questions about it.

Rad2016 · 29/10/2020 11:16

@UselessTrees, thanks very much. Really looking forward to it. What sort of things do you buy?

Tattiespuds · 29/10/2020 11:31

It's not a requirement @lannister it says a guideline 450 for FB and 600 for Twitter but combat is only 60. I was a bit shocked to see it. I thought no way I could do that to earn a decent rate.
I've got slack on my phone already, there was quite a few surges yesterday and I caught two of them. Just waiting on the RA to sync up so I can see how I'm doing. I will probably jump on for half an hr of so most days depending on how much I'm earning. When you do work how long does it take to show much it earned you on RA?

loneranger1 · 29/10/2020 11:33

Got lots of payments this week from neevo, no work though which is worrying,

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/10/2020 11:35

I am having a very quiet week. Nothing on Neevo at all. Typical just at the time of the year when one could do with more work/money! Hopefully it will pick up again.

Oh, and I've earned £4 on Prolific so far (in less than a week).

UselessTrees · 29/10/2020 11:40

@Rad2016 So far there have been about three or four 'good' sites per round (i.e., reputable UK sites with good quality stuff, even if it's not necessarily things I would choose to buy), and the rest varying levels of tat.

This month I had two that were obvious scams so it was a bit annoying/worrying having to put my payment details into those, but so far my card seems safe. I'll get the money back but getting any kind of product from those seems highly unlikely.

Best things so far: North Face jacket, Reebok trainers, case of beer, Nintendo Switch game, SkullCandy earphones, a Mela weighted blanket (don't need this personally, but will pass on to someone who will benefit).

Worst thing: overpriced electric mop thing which arrived broken and stinking of mildew, bleurgh.

@whysotriggered worth a go but still the same - thanks for trying 😄
