I have an appen question... I'm new to this and I completed one project that I still can't seem to invoice for - I've ask about this already - the project still shows on my list of projects I qualify for, once I've worked this should it come off this list? It was a voice recording project and I'm wary of it not being registered somehow

@violetclouds, if you click to participate, you're given a certain amount of time to do the survey, so effectively you could register yourself for all four, but you'd have to work quickly. Opening more tabs etc.

@Tattiespuds, was it a "work this" click through or on F8? If it was on F8 it should show on your dashboard, but if it's auto generated the invoice won't show until about the 1st Nov. If it's not auto generated, you have to do the invoice from the "invoices" tab. In that case, the project name will be on a drop down once you've created the month.

@TheSeedsOfADream if I remember when I clicked on it said to go to AMR app which it showed when I logged in and I just clicked on it and done it. It's listed under auto generated, so was waiting til start of next month anyways but just thought I'd ask since it's still listed

It should be ok then. But keep an eye- mine didn't show and I contacted them on the 4th or 5th (last day for invoicing) and they chivvied the project manager along. (And when I saw the tuppence hs'penny it had earned me I decided I wouldn't be bothering with it this month! ) Hope yours is more fruitful!

I think it's more that i feel so stupid than anything else. I have a job, and I know I'm very fortunate to be in that position at the moment, so it's not so much about the money (although I am gutted about that). I got kicked off atlas too so I'm wondering about my brain power....

@tootyfruitypickle been there. It's very cut throat and there's no loyalty. It's a hard mind set and it's gutting when there's no feedback. I lost a project last year where my accuracy had been consistently over 90% and one week it dropped below 80% so they removed me. It's still going and there was no reason given after ages on it. The last couple of months have been the hardest I've seen. It will get better. Eventually. If you can, just ride it and see what else is out there.

You are not alone @tootyfruitypickle I agree with @seizethecuttlefish we are just numbers to these companies, there is no duty of care and it's not personal. Also very unlikely to be a reflection on your brainpower! I have been waiting for Potato for almost 18 months now and I went through a phase of 'what's wrong with me, why don't they want me?' and now I've just accepted it's not going to happen. It is just the way it is and we just have to keep going.

Has anybody had any joy on F***er on Appen? For Scotland. I got accepted but just get 404 on the external link and when I x that it takes me to log in but does not recognise my details. I've sent them a ticket but no reply and looks like other people of the chat having issues too. so frustrating as said it would be a 20 hour a week project

I agree potato hard going, I had to roll last 3 months invoice into 1 due to low earnings will probably be kicked off soon just so hard to get into it...feel like done loads check the dashboard and its 50p

Thanks for the encouragement! My actual job is client care based so I guess it’s no surprise that I’m not top notch at the appen ones. On the plus side, it’s not looking like I’ll need to fill in a tax return anytime soon 🤨

@tootyfruitypickle very disappointing to be removed without even being given a reason, however I'd try not to take it to heart as some projects are more unreliable than others. I don't have any experience of Tig but LOTS of people got flagged on At (me included) so it may just be bad luck with the projects you've gotten so far. It is worth it when you get a good project, just have to try and forget about the ones that don't result in work.

If so what do you think? I am still using it and usually manage a few pounds per day to tick over , I have earned Just under 40 dollars in 7 days, so not bad . I haven't tried cashing out yet so don't know how easy that will prove.

I tried Ysense through your referral, thank you! but I was screened out on all of them and it put me off continuing as I had wasted a considerable amount of time but I imagine a lot of it is down to demographics and I just didn't fit their criteria.

I've received an email from another site I kind of use on and off, and they said they are going to review my work and hinted that I've messed it all up. I'm not at all surprised because the guidelines are so vague and don't make sense (think some of the UHRS tasks), so I'm trying not to take it personally. It's just a bit annoying. I think I'm done with them anyway so not a great loss if they remove me from the project.

Hello, I’ve qualified for a few video projects on Appen. I know it shouldn’t matter but I look bloody terrible today and won’t have time to do them tomorrow so I was going to do them Thurs afternoon...would this be too late or should I crack on tonight with a couple, regardless of what I look like?

@SweetShopSurprise I'd do it asap, in case they meet their quota and close it in the meantime. I looked absolutely appalling in the photo/video tasks I did recently, but I'm figuring that if they wanted models they'd hire them!

Not just me then! It's happened with every video thing I've signed up with. The last one the only poses that were left required 2 people. I messaged saying that they should have made that clear as we're in lockdown and it needs a third person to film it (you weren't to use a stand, must be a person). They told me to get someone to come in 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's mad isn't it. They should tell you that before you agree. Don't think I'll bother now. Probably won't get cat to comply anyway. She might stand on backlegs if I offer dreamies!! .
