Finally got Appen to send me a project - but when I go to the All Projects tab as they instruct, that project does not appear so I cannot (as per their instructions) click on the Learn More button and go forward with the application. Anyone else get this with Appen?

ruralwanderer · 19/10/2020 07:42

@Tattiespuds, it sounds like your project is auto-generated so you'll just need to wait for it to appear on your timesheet. Some of the projects can take several weeks to appear as they need to be quality checked before payment can be approved but if it isn't showing on your invoice by the first working day of the next month, it's worth raising a ticket to check whether you need to keep waiting or submit without (if you have other projects worked that you want to be paid for) and have it paid on the following month's invoice. HTH :)

TheSeedsOfADream · 19/10/2020 08:10

@m00rfarm, is it a project you've applied for and been accepted onto? If so, it should either show a "work this" if you click on "projects I am qualified for", or they'll send you a link and login details/instructions if it's something on the F8 interface.

m00rfarm · 19/10/2020 08:30

They sent an email to say apply. But I can’t.

TheSeedsOfADream · 19/10/2020 08:46

Ah ok.
I got one of those last week, when I went into "projects I'm not qualified for", it shows on mine with the possibility to "qualify" (green button)
Maybe drop them a ticket and say you'd like to apply but the project isn't showing.

Fizbo · 19/10/2020 14:47

Anyone else severely lacking in motivation this month? I have approx $1 dollar from Appen thus far, and about £15 from Potato. Just can't seem to get stuck in. On the plus have €30 from clickworker but can't remember how to withdraw as it's been so long! Can anyone tell me how? I know it's connected to my PayPal as used it a lot about a year ago but for some reason can't seem to withdraw 😬

YonderTweek · 19/10/2020 14:54

@Fizbo They have paydays (usually Fridays) and I think they pay in bits depending on when you've completed the job, I believe.

I kind of have the motivation but Ap has gone quiet
again and I really can't be arsed with surveys anymore (minus the occasional Prolific) as most pay so little. I need a new project! Although the Ap break over the last couple of days has done me good because I was genuinely concerned I was getting carpal tunnel. Shock I need to set up my workstation properly before my hands fall off!

Fizbo · 19/10/2020 14:58

@YonderTweek thank you SmileI've just done the eye recognition one again as it's a very easy €15 and I'm very lazy!

Adelais · 19/10/2020 17:24

@peabrainer Have you checked your junk folder? My potato statement went there this month.

seizethecuttlefish · 19/10/2020 20:38

@peabrainer you should have it, drop them a message.

Anyone else struggling to get any money on potato. It's so quiet!

Catatemyhomework · 19/10/2020 20:55

@seizethecuttlefish, I'm struggling to get any money anywhere at the moment. Hmm

seizethecuttlefish · 19/10/2020 21:21

@Catatemyhomework I know it's a struggle. My income has massively dropped and my Appen project is about to come to an end.

Catatemyhomework · 19/10/2020 21:36

@seizethecuttlefish, hope things pick up for you soon. There is definitely less work at the moment. Was hoping things would pick up in time for Christmas. Going to try and stay positive and pray for lots of work! 🙏

ChubRubTub · 19/10/2020 22:23

@Horehound - here's the thread...

GachaBread · 19/10/2020 22:30

Just had a warning from cloudworkers that I am not generating enough replies. What a piss take when I do 300 messages a day. Saying that if I don't make more of an effort they will cancel my login. Answering their replies for help has not got me anywhere. Always sticking to my shifts too like a knob. I think they want to get rid of all the 10 euros agents as they are paying 5 euros to all the newbies . As of today I have sent 4500 messages and have got 3434 replies so what the fuck are they on about. Fuming!!!

Horehound · 19/10/2020 22:44

Helooooo

I keep falling off the threads at the end of the month!

I'm doing ok. I was doing the text variant approval thingy on neevo. Managed to do 1015 of them so should get around £20 for that :)

I did another Rev transcript...a twenty minute one and it took me ages however I got a good score again.
But one thing with Rev, there's some videos being uploaded by a client that makes me very uncomfortable. I actually flagged them to Rev but when I did some digging I Found the client to be a law firm in USA so the authorities do know what's going on but I'm so surprised the videos are up on a sort of public site for Joe Bloggs to transcribe.
Does anyone know the ones I mean?!

@GachaBread, sorry to hear that. That's awful. You always sound like you work really hard when you talk about it on here. Some of these companies have no scruples at all. I think some organisations are being ruthless and riding on people's misfortune with regard to furlough, redundancy, etc and being exploitative. You have my sympathies. It's bloody tough out there at the moment. Hope they realise you're a good one. Flowers

@GachaBread, sorry to hear that you are having such issues but you are right. They are trying to eliminate the 10c earners especially the ones who are good workers like yourself. I'm going to PM YOU.

Jeez, you're allowed to have a rant now & again.
Corona's just put the tin hat on all the other crap, hasn't it.
