Finally qualified for a project on Appen! Really excited about this as it seems to be one of the best paid out of them all, and truthfully, I was getting a little disheartened about the distinct lack of work on other sites lately.

I just got a load of neevo payments through, was even still doing a task up until around 9pm then got paid $61 overnight for what i'd done! :)

@Carrotgirl87, that’s good , what task were you doing- I’ve been asked to do a few but feel put off in case I’m thrown off etc.

@Baby89 it is a transcript type task - 0.10c per task and they were relatively easy, and I did 610 so they paid me exactly right.

Iv been really reluctant to get stuck in after hearing the horror stories, but I just went at it with the intention that if I don't get paid its a lesson learned, and so far touch wood iv had no problems x

I've been asked to do some jobs from Neevo but I have so many outstanding payments from them I am not sure I can be arsed. Don't know if I trust them really. As above some people are paid straight away yet I have jobs which have been fine no quality issues and still no pay for them. Wankers they are desperate for the voice three ways job though

I got four payments from Neevo last night, all for all of the tasks completed on those jobs, so I'm a happy bunny. I do have some older stuff with payment outstanding but I'm not worrying about it yet..figure I'll give it a couple of months before chasing up. Thankfully I'm not in the position of needing the money urgently, but it does suck if you do and being made to wait weeks and weeks for payment.

I'm liking the transcription task that Carrotgirl's doing too - turning into a nice little earner. Wasn't expecting to paid after a day either! I wasn't impressed with the "gold" job they sent me the other day though, checking an AI's pronunciation for $0.02 a piece, and the words seem to be random youtubers or games, so you have to google how to pronounce them. Gave up after three tasks.

@Horehound are they the same jobs that others have been paid for but you haven't?

For those that need to fill in a self assessment tax return, when do you need to complete it by and is it done online? If earning is less than £1000 per year, does it need to be declared?

@tootyfruitypickle I'm on Fir%h. I did it about 3 weeks ago and it is yet to appear on my invoice. I like to be paid promptly , or at least see it on my invoce, for the work I put in on these projects. I probably wouldn't do it again because of the invoice issue but having said that it was easy work.

thanks @Azerothi, that is annoying when that happens. It's not really my thing, but I'll take another look when the school holidays are over and i can be a bit more focused, if it's still available. I'm not that keen on things where i need to record my voice, not really sure why i applied!

I did it. I think it took longer than they say but it wasn't hard. It hasn't appeared on my invoice yet either but I only did it recently.

Hello all! Are there any LB peeps around? I am thinking of applying for other roles on their website but every time I go to apply it's asking me to create a new account. Am I being a bit dim but shouldn't I be able to just log in and use my existing account to apply? I will give it a go but thought I'd ask here in case anyone had come across the same thing. Thanks!

RE Firth I was half way through it with a 7 year old. Then got an email saying they only want it done with the Bluetooth headsets now.

Hello, I also have a question for LB people - anybody here?
Am waiting for access to one project which is supposed to be for a couple of months, but then what happens? Is there much work on LB?
I'm asking because I want to apply to smth else but afraid that LB says you can't work for similar companies. I'd like to use any possibility I get but don't want to compromise my LB thing :(

I just tried to do the two new jobs they sent me (on one email). It said go to task 1 them come back and do task 2. It was clicking which recording I preferred. They all sounded absolutely identical so I clicked prefer neither. Did it 16 times for thrown off. Lol
Fucking ridiculous even my husband said they sounded the same.

On a better note, Neevo have just sent over 3 loads of payments, so chuffed about that. They've been quite good with paying me lately.

For those discussing 'bane' on Appen - does it appear in the list of 'projects' to apply for on Appen, or is it one you've previously signed up for and therefore get an email only notification for?

@DownThePlath well they only let me do 16 then it said no more tasks! Maybe I do them too quickly or something...

Then here are two examples of having being kicked off a job but when it came to being paid I get all but one. So what was the problem so annoying because I could've carried on :(

The exchange rate for US Dollars is getting worse and worse. I'm really noticing the difference when I get paid by User Testing and Intellizoom, who pay in USD. I'm still glad to have the work and all, just making a comment about the exchange rate.
