@horehound - he did the study on the 10th August, they returned it unpaid on the 14th and he argued and they paid him that same day then!

Horehound · 17/08/2020 20:25

Thanks @Carrotgirl87

Adelais · 17/08/2020 22:46

Clickworker/UHRS has been crap for me too lately. I used to do quite well on it but I’ve barely had anything for about 2 months now. I’ve seen the odd job on there but they all seem to pay $0.1/0.2 and be super complicated.

ilovepixie · 18/08/2020 01:04

I've been doing surveys and so on via my iPhone. However a lot of studies don't accept mobile phone submissions and was going to invest in a lap top, so I could do more working from home.
Looking at the Argos website they have cloud books, chrome books and laptops. Would I need an actual lap top or are the other 2 just as good? And which one would be best please?

seizethecuttlefish · 18/08/2020 08:58

@Horehound that's terrible. I never get anything on Prolific as I'm never logged on at the right time. Hope you get a better reply. It seems like things are getting more exploitive as more people need work.

I haven't done any Neevo since the great pay debacle. Keep meaning to look but the last tasks I got offered were 0.02 per task. No way I'd do enough to make any decent money as they were taking ages.

I really need to widen my scope. There hasn't been anything new on A forever and the couple I've been accepted for haven't had any work. I've lost my Potato mojo. I'm overthinking everything! I even got obsessed with the issue column on my invoice. Hmm I still have no idea what it means.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 18/08/2020 12:05

Anyone been paid by Neevo recently? I got a measly $30 dollars at the beginning of last week but nothing since. I am not loving the current batch of 2cent tasks either. Not really worth the time or effort.

A bad month looming pay-wise unless things pick up soon.

WonderTweek · 18/08/2020 14:00

Neevo actually paid me like 120 dollars which really surprised me because I didn't get paid for another fairly big job that I did. Shock It made me feel a bit better about spending all that time on clicking. Haha.

There are quite a few of those calls left to validate if anyone's interested. I started doing them again last night and I've managed quite a few. I hope I'll get paid for those too.

Horehound · 18/08/2020 17:01

I haven't got the calls to validate but I have got the calls to make.
They are just all annoying me now so I haven't done many

ERW22 · 18/08/2020 17:39

Referral link for topcashback again. I will get some free cashback and you will get a £5 bonus when you reach £10 payable

Has anyone joined the angelfish study about gaming? I did and then realised you’re only entered into prize draws so you might participate for 6 weeks and get nothing Sad

optimisticpessimist01 · 18/08/2020 17:44

Can someone please explain to me how Appen works? Do you apply for jobs there? Do these count as second incomes and therefore you pay 20% tax on them? Thank you! I'm a bit confused by it all!

YetAnotherRainyDay · 18/08/2020 19:21

Do you want to get a free stock share worth up to £ 100?

Create a Trading 212 Invest account using this link www.trading212.com/invite/FMJQo4tc (this is my referral link) and we both get a free share!

Tinging · 18/08/2020 20:19

Urgh that's me giving up with Neevo too. Refusing to pay for 118 tasks because they are "invalid" but won't give any reason why and I'm sure I was following the guidelines correctly. I will admit I got a couple wrong as I pressed the next button by accident so deserved to get kicked off but I didn't do it 118 times!
It's a shame because I quite like some of their tasks but it's not worth the worry of whether they will be paid or not.

Horehound · 18/08/2020 20:29

Yeh exactly. Don't want to be wasting your time. It's so annoying they can't tell you specific examples. Probably because they are at it!

ScorpioSphinxInACalicoDress · 18/08/2020 21:21

@optimisticpessimist01

Most Appen jobs are social media evaluation stuff or helping develop search engine terms. If you go to connect Appen core login (or sth) you can sign up. NOT Appen global. Then you fill in a few forms and they tell you you can start applying. When they do, apply for everything you can, because you might be waiting for months. I'm now on a long term one (I think I'll be booted off it after 12 months if other people's experiences are to go by) but I was accepted onto it in December and first started applying for things last March! I currently have 23 applications for other tasks pending but at one point went up to 38 (!!) Though have only had ever 3 tasks on the go at once.
I'm not in the UK and am self employed so I don't know how the tax works if you're not but there is someone on here who knows but I can't remember who.

@MrsWombat I wanted to thank you for your tips for potato- you've made me get cracking and I'm now making myself not stop till I hit £5 a day but because of the lag in updating the dashboard I'm usually hitting £6 or £7.

Horehound · 18/08/2020 21:41

@ScorpioSphinxInACalicoDress ah so can you only start applying for appen stuff after their initial review of your sign up form?!

ScorpioSphinxInACalicoDress · 18/08/2020 23:52

Yes, you create an account and then do something called a basic qualification package. After that you get an email telling you you can start applying for the tasks and they start showing up in your "projects" area. Some of the projects have additional qualification requirements (languages etc)

lilmishap · 19/08/2020 08:55

I've just had a threat of removal from B#*e for no activity seems slightly unfair as I've logged in after emails to get the no tasks available several times in the last week or so.

margaritasbythesea · 19/08/2020 09:15

Yes, I wonder if that will happen to me Lilmishap. I can 't do my time if there is no work. I did sign in once using the wrong browser and the work didn't register. Could this be a factor with you?

I would write back myself saying that you do want to work but haven't been able to access it.

tinyradish · 19/08/2020 10:49

I have done nothing on B*ne & haven't received that email. The link always comes through when I'm not able to work - so frustrating!

Horehound · 19/08/2020 11:40

How do I get a free share link on free trade to give to my husband? I thought there was a link to share to him but I can't see it? I do see it on trading 212

ERW22 · 19/08/2020 11:53

For anyone who’s already a topcashback member there’s an extra £2 offer when you spend £5 today only but you must remember to activate it on the homepage!

Also not impressed by neevo recently

Rad2016 · 19/08/2020 12:09

@ERW22 thanks. I need to buy something from curry's do will use that

YetAnotherRainyDay · 19/08/2020 12:24

@Horehound

How do I get a free share link on free trade to give to my husband? I thought there was a link to share to him but I can't see it? I do see it on trading 212
Free shares come and go. If you have one, it'll be visible if you click on the profile thing in the top right corner of the screen.
lilmishap · 19/08/2020 17:28

@margaritasbythesea it's worse than that! I've logged in and it says quite clearly in my work history that I have worked on both in the last 14 days admittedly only doing 3 or 4 because they ran out, but the email says I haven't done any in 90 days!!!
Looking at the chat I'm not the only one.

margaritasbythesea · 19/08/2020 19:01

Oh well limishap. Ifind things like that often happen on appen. Send them a ticket.
