@Washyourhands48 we’ve moved on from that and I think whiterangey has left the thread so best not drag it back up again.
FWIW I think it’s strange to expect everyone on a threads about MLMs to agree with you about something so controversial but it’s better if we let it lie.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 18/06/2020 19:42

@Washyourhands48

"No they’re not. Sorry to burst your bubble"

If anyone is jumping into this thread with an agenda at the moment, it is yourself.

@Whiterangey has left this thread on the basis that there is a consensus we will not be expressing our views on the matter here.

Currently , it is you who is high jacking the thread with your opinion on the matter.

@Whiterangey has been on this thread for many years with no agenda but to protect women from MLM scams, which is more than can be said for you.

She also has a trans child, and doesn't need her "bubble bursting" by you- I suggest you remove your post.

Spongebobette · 18/06/2020 19:42

@Washyourhands48

Let’s move on
I’m sure there are many other places where that issue can be thrashed out
Here we talk about MLMs.

acatcalledjohn · 18/06/2020 20:28

@Washyourhands48 The subsequent messages have already dealt with this. Don't fan the flames.

hunzuncovered · 18/06/2020 20:45

To bring it back to the thread...

'Attraction marketing' is an exhausting shitshow to produce every day.

At one point I was sharing personal shit to say I'd come out the other side thanks to MLM and the friendships without a single thought to how it hurt my family and friends. Things that should've been kept private and saying my fellow mlmers were sooooo amazeballs was such a kick in the teeth to my lifelong friends.

In training you were told that even though you had nothing at the moment just dress crap up.

I realised that these uplines never went out or had a social life. They'd alienated themselves and a majority of their friendships were with a bunch of downlines.

Going out for Christmas meals with friends, work and the school mum group one year led to my upline making a snotty remark about how she will be working her business while other people waste time on meals. I suppose she had no one to invite her. Instead it was a zoom get together with drinks on the 23rd!

funkylittleboatrace · 18/06/2020 21:15

Anyone else just get a invite to Nurses private group?.

GoldenKelpie · 18/06/2020 22:59

Oooh funky you gonna go? I would but I'm banned Grin

Back to Uber - Looks like Mr Uber has a vestige interest and part control of her business by looking at the accounts

Paddy1234 · 19/06/2020 00:23

And just as worrying the number of requests I have had to join Body Shop etc in last few weeks.

funkylittleboatrace · 19/06/2020 00:29

@GoldenKelpie I accepted the request 😬

acatcalledjohn · 19/06/2020 10:04

The BSAH really has been THE go to MLM this lockdown. I had a few too.

That and the travel ones. Because we aren't on the brink of an economic crisis in which travel will take a hit. Not to mention that people, especially retired people, are saying they don't want to risk travelling just yet.

fromdownwest · 19/06/2020 10:06

I do always seem to see that the bots only ever have other bots as friends in their social media stories.

Is it because they have alienated them all, or do they turn to MLM’s as they have no RL friends?

hunzuncovered · 19/06/2020 10:27

It's easier to convince someone who is already a bot to join you in your MLM. Half the job is done for you.

They already believe it's legit
They've already been convinced it's not a pyramid scheme.

If you've cracked it... you can convince people to move over to you because you're making more money than them.

SSDGM · 19/06/2020 10:53

Looks like the shitshow that is LuLaRoe is moving slowly towards collapsing it’s pyramid. Top bots are leaving in droves, even Deanne’s niece has thrown the towel in to bulk buy shitty quality crap from Wish and start a “boutique” - which reminds me, I should catch up with tattle life - BBL is now just a caricature of a bot and proves Juice Plus gives zero shits who is allowed to sell their horse piss and sawdust.

9dartfinish2nd · 19/06/2020 11:08

Anyone got the popcorn out watching the Rachel Hollis saga currently angering both pro and anti-mlm people?

GottaPickaPocketorTwo · 19/06/2020 11:24

@9dartfinish2nd

Where can I see what's happening with Rachel Hollis? A friend of mine worships her (and no surprise, she's a 'successful' bot in the US). I'd love to know what's happening with her.......

Sforsh49 · 19/06/2020 11:40

I know a top BSAH bot. Literally top of the pointy thing. Her "team" took £1m in sales in a week recently....

CompleteBarstool · 19/06/2020 11:50

In my local area (Yawn's area and Roomie's area before she moved) it's all Body Shop at Home on local facebook pages over lockdown. Honestly there are loads of them.

I don't think I've seen anything from FL but I'm wondering if this area was saturated and exhausted some years ago.

People on the local pages often jump in to make a comment like "pyramid scheme - avoid" or call out a miracle weightloss product as "complete bollocks" which is great, but not on the Body Shop ones (yet)

Yes. Completely. Girl needs to go and wash her own face.
9dartfinish2nd · 19/06/2020 11:56

Rachel Hollis is one of the worse exponents of toxic positivity within the MLM industry today.

She announced a couple of weeks ago that she and her husband (who quit his high powered Disney job to work full time together as a power couple) are getting a divorce, they are taking major flak from people within the MLM industry for portraying a life of domestic bliss whilst clearly it was falling apart behind closed doors. they even released a podcast on how to keep your relationships strong during lockdown.

Not to mention the numerous allegations of plagiarism that haven been flying around for a while.

9dartfinish2nd · 19/06/2020 12:05

@GottaPickaPocketorTwo

There are several Youtube videos on the subject already.

just type in 'Rachel Hollis divorce'

GottaPickaPocketorTwo · 19/06/2020 12:12

Thanks - will go and investigate.....

Botbrigade · 19/06/2020 12:16

What MLM was/is Rachel Hollis?
