Ooh Broke's deleted his live from this morning when he's off his face and whining about his ex! Wonder if someone had a word with him

Spongebobette · 17/06/2020 17:07

Oh what a shame, I missed that

GoldenKelpie · 17/06/2020 18:40

Believe me, Sponge, it was just usual car crash stuff Hmm. He will do another one soon, don't worry.

You've got to marvel at a homeless person doing attraction marketing at all, let alone with the hashtag #GroundFloorToPenthouse

He doesn't even have a ground floor.

RogueApostrophe · 18/06/2020 07:55

It truly baffles me how anyone wants to get involved with Broke's business.

Spongebobette · 18/06/2020 10:36

I know we all love our children dearly, and perhaps I am a nasty person for thinking this, but Nurse’s constant sickly Insta stories about how much she loves her son seem a bit... yucky?

Norma27 · 18/06/2020 10:39

I agree sponge. Obviously she loves her child. She seems to believe he is amazingly funny too. He is just a normal boy who plays. If I was to put posts on FB like that constantly I think people would tell me to stop being such a bore.

CodenameVillanelle · 18/06/2020 10:58

I think nurse posts all that stuff as attraction marketing because she doesn't have much else going on. The MLM model is posting random stuff to get engagement.

Part of loving our children is protecting them. Using them or sharing too much of them on social media really worries me. Aside from the use of private images for attraction marketing purposes etc, if someone wanted to it would be possible to find out an awful lot about some of the huns’ children; names, DOB, schools, home addresses etc. Not just yucky but risky too.

Spongebobette · 18/06/2020 13:45

I can see the attraction marketing when it’s showing off a flashy holiday or your child in the back seat of a posh car (still highly questionable sharing photos of your kids though) but when it’s the same tiny room and tiny patio garden? Won’t make people covetous.

AlexCabot · 18/06/2020 13:55

Someone's just posted on a local Facebook group asking for recommendations for jobs she can do from home.

Cue the bots.

FL, Avon and FM so far. I don't have the energy to intervene.

YouokHun · 18/06/2020 14:22

@Spongebobette I guess it’s also about just keeping up a constant presence in everyone’s SM, and Nurse has got to work with the footage she’s got. No attraction marketing in the true sense of the word for Nurse because she’s unable to buy the props of deceit, mainly because most of her money is in Yawn’s wallet. But you’re right, Nurse is probably at the bottom of the food chain and will remain there, unable to sell the dream she’s never going to realise herself.

Has anyone seen there is yet another MLM thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3941110-to-think-this-is-a-really-thoughtless-message

acatcalledjohn · 18/06/2020 14:29

There's a term for sharing your children without consent on SM, isn't there? The worrying thing is that I am not befriended to Nurse, but her stories are totally public. Her "business" group is private, but her son is out there for the whole world to see. So other than me that would be some less than kosher characters will potentially ill intentions.

That goes for all bots by the way. I would consider it a major safeguarding issue!

Getthekettleon2020 · 18/06/2020 14:44

See MLM Lies exposed current thread re Younique bot

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 18/06/2020 14:52

Even before lockdown most bots were scrabbling around trying to find something to post about. By and large they just Don't. Do. Anything.
They don't go on holiday, they don't post about socialising unless it's with other bots, they don't go out for nice meals (Wagamama definitely doesn't count), they don't even just go to the pub. We know they don't, because if they did they'd be sure to post about it.
So it's dogs, kids and painting old bits of furniture. Hardly selling the dream.

JasperRising · 18/06/2020 15:54

@acatcalledjohn it's called sharenting. The BBC have had quite a few articles targeted at adults about it over the past couple of years but I notice they have also started writing material for kids suffering from it: www.bbc.com/ownit/its-personal/8-ways-to-spot-a-sharent

AlexCabot · 18/06/2020 15:56

Jasper I totally just misread that as sharting!

acatcalledjohn · 18/06/2020 16:01

Thanks! I knew there was a word!

To be fair, when sharenting takes on extreme levels it's as unpleasant as sharting Grin

BSintolerant · 18/06/2020 16:10

@Getthekettleon2020 that thread is a bit vague. What’s going on?

spanfan · 18/06/2020 16:32

I can't cope. Castles BFFs BFF with twins has as in one Instagram post told us how it's great that she can spend lots of time at home with her children. But on the other hand has shown pictures of her children settling in at nursery.

Like I said, I can't cope. 😂😂😂😂

Twentytwentyhindsight · 18/06/2020 17:02

@BSintolerant - it would appear that a top Younique bot based in Wales was previously done for importing & reselling counterfeit goods.

BSintolerant · 18/06/2020 17:12

Ah ... thank you @Twentytwentyhindsight. She’s lucky she only got a suspended sentence.

BlackCatsRule88 · 18/06/2020 17:14

I don’t feel any sympathy for them, but it must be exhausting to have to continually live your life on social media in the name of attraction marketing. Constantly putting out something “interesting”, trying to get engagement, putting a positive spin on everything and trying to relate almost everything back to their bizniz, no matter how tenuous.

Although they say they can run their bizniz in “pockets of time”, I bet they don’t include all this constant posting on social in that.

Spongebobette · 18/06/2020 17:27

From a bot’s website - hosted by the company of course, for which they charge her... disclaimer in the last paragraph which presumably they have to include - somewhat jars with the rest of the statement?
