@fitgirl26 I saw that. Just doing body pump for now. Lots of members are mad about it.
Yes I bet! The instructors are pretty pissed off too! I don't teach at DL but rumour on the instructor sites says they've been looking to get rid of LM and replace it with their own stuff for a while hence Blaze. I teach at two local authority gyms which are still shut - no idea if and when I'll be teaching again.

ToBotOrNotToBot · 28/07/2020 21:50

I just put sleaze's name into the search bar on fb and the first this that comes up is his name and second thing that comes up is his name followed by the word scam 😂

Norma27 · 29/07/2020 06:15

@fitgirl26 I hope you get back soon. I’m at virgin which has loads of LM still. I have frozen membership for now and hope to go back sept when children back at school I think.

@ToBotOrNotToBot that is hilarious! I believe wig and sleaze deserve prison time as they are real con artists.

unoeufisunoeuf1 · 29/07/2020 06:18

Speaking of scams I keep getting sponsored Facebook ads from the zany "Network Ninja". Latest one claims that most people's problem is that they're overthinkers. "The more you think, the more you doubt". Well, no shit!

Norma27 · 29/07/2020 06:52

A thread on aibu from someone thinking of joining Avon.

Spongebobette · 29/07/2020 09:21

So do I @unoeufisunoeuf1

I’m sick of his open mouthed grinning face

I wonder what he’s spending on FB ads?

BSintolerant · 29/07/2020 09:23

Ding dong! Here’s the Avon thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3980848-To-ask-about-being-an-Avon-rep

unoeufisunoeuf1 · 29/07/2020 12:41

Yes does he ever close his gob!? It's actually so sinister that he's actively against "over thinking" - i.e. Don't do too much research or listen to dissenting voices! But that's MLM all over, isn't it.

I see that Rachel Hollis has announced a new book coming out less than 50 days after she announced she divorcing her husband.

So people are supposed to take advice from someone like her who can't even prevent her own life from becoming a train wreck, some of these people really have no soul.

Getthekettleon2020 · 29/07/2020 15:54

Something I can’t get my head around is when the bots are circling prey they are told never take no for an answer. How does that translate to a rape scenario especially when some bots have daughters?

Norma27 · 29/07/2020 16:03

That is so true @Getthekettleon2020
A no is just a no for now. Absolutely disgusting.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 29/07/2020 17:07

I did mention to my ex that her insistence on filing negative responses to her botting approaches in her 'not right now' folder for future attempts seemed a bit like not taking no for an answer in terms of harassment. It did not go down well.

BSintolerant · 29/07/2020 17:22

@Getthekettleon2020 “No doesn’t mean ‘no’ it means ‘not right now” is in the MLM commandments! That one is a Forever Fibbing Classic.

Have you ever read Gavin de Becker’s “The Gift of Fear“? Everyone should read it - it explains how intuition keeps you safe and contains a lot of common sense. Here are some de Becker’s quotes which are apt in many situations - especially MLM situations.
‘I encourage people to remember that “no” is a complete sentence.’

‘“No” is a word that must never be negotiated, because the person who chooses not to hear it is trying to control you.’

‘There’s a lesson in real-life stalking cases that young women can benefit from learning: persistence only proves persistence—it does not prove love. The fact that a romantic pursuer is relentless doesn’t mean you are special—it means he is troubled.”

‘Niceness is a decision, a strategy of social interaction; it is not a character trait. People seeking to control others almost always present the image of a nice person in the beginning. Like rapport-building, charm and the deceptive smile, unsolicited niceness often has a discoverable motive.’

‘If you tell someone ten times that you don’t want to talk to him, you are talking to them—nine more times than you wanted to.’

Wise words indeed.

Spongebobette · 29/07/2020 17:43

That’s really good @BSintolerant

I think we know a few uplines who smile widely and simulate kindness. But the veneer is quite thin.
