Well ... it's been one hell of a month hasn't it? I hope everyone is safe and well (and not going too mad with kids and partners at home!). As always, referral links and new starters are welcome, think we're all going to need a boost financially over the next few months.

Mine is still pending in Payoneer too.
I actually rang Payoneer last night and they said there was a problem with PayPal but they are sorting it out and I should be paid very soon.

ifuckarses · 16/04/2020 10:51

@Kaylsar I'm wondering about Freelancer too! Can they reject work, also how qualified do you need to be? I don't even know what to add as my skills as I've basically just done general administration work for the past 12 years.

Kaylsar · 16/04/2020 11:24

@Lougle you discuss it with the person paying directly. They have to put the payment into your account, it’s a bit like Escrow. The funds are available when you complete the work. I haven’t had work rejected before because they can just say something like x is missing and I then fix it so all good.

Kaylsar · 16/04/2020 11:27

@ifuckarses I didn’t have much exprience when I started. I was 21 but you kind of find your own way there. Sometimes someone wants you to record something in a British accent or to check the grammar of a few sentences. I kind of learnt my way round and just started to build on my skills as I went along.

Kaylsar · 16/04/2020 11:31

Is anyone doing the transcription task on Nveeno. I am just concerned that they don’t pay and also worried that I am doing it all wrong as I sometimes don’t know which option to use (empty/acoustic issues)

Kaylsar · 16/04/2020 11:34

I don’t know why I put Nveeno instead of Neevo Blush

MoreMoneyPlease · 16/04/2020 11:51

I've been okay with Neevo up until the last couple of days when work keeps disappearing from my dashboard. Hoping it's a glitch and will reappear but have emailed them anyway.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 16/04/2020 11:52

You've just reminded me that i need to complete my 20 cogs. If anyone wants to join this referral link will help me complete cog 9, thanks!

Fedupandpoor · 16/04/2020 11:55

Good luck to all the potato people waiting for test results!

toastytea · 16/04/2020 12:00

@kaylsar I know what you mean. Sometimes there's human voices but you can't make out what they're saying.. just use your best judgement. I didn't realise there were still transcription tasks, they must have decided mine weren't good enough!

toastytea · 16/04/2020 12:02

I remember doing the transcription test and scored high then did it a month later following the guidelines and scored lower, still passed, but I was doubting how closely they wanted me to follow the guidelines. I was marking some transcriptions invalid cos they wrote ok instead of okay. But meh!

Adelais · 16/04/2020 13:03

Woohoo I passed the potato test! Really suprised as I thought I’d got several wrong.
Got to wait for all the logins now, hope it doesn’t take too long to get started!
Those that are already working for them just curious if certain tunes of day are more busy than others?
Good luck to anyone else waiting to hear from them.

Frenchdoors1 · 16/04/2020 13:11

Yay.. Funds have gone into my PayPal account from Payoneer.

MrsWombat · 16/04/2020 13:27

@Adelais I've not got the work log in yet, but Slack is always asking for help with the queues around 6pm.

ifuckarses · 16/04/2020 13:30

I'm so happy for all you potato folk... And a smidge jel!

ricecrispiecake · 16/04/2020 13:35

What is all of the potato talk about! Feel like I've missed something, feeling left out

curdsandwhey · 16/04/2020 13:40

I skipped one of my cogs yesterday because nothing looked good, but I've logged in again today and there's already a new offer on that same cog that wasn't there yesterday. So it really is worth waiting a bit. It seems so much better to wait to sign up for something that actually interests you, rather than signing up for any old thing just for the sake of completing the whole thing in one go.

ChubRubTub · 16/04/2020 13:43

Don't be too jealous. I average two to three times more per hour on my Appen projects than C*p, although I know I may be alone! It's better if you can work the surges.

Is anyone signed up for the next round of A**r with Appen next week? Have you had a confirmation email?

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 16/04/2020 13:59

@ChubRubTub i'm signed up but no email yet, i don't think anyone has. I've done it 6 times before though if you have any questions.

ChubRubTub · 16/04/2020 14:03

Thanks @SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock. Wow 6 times. Have you ever had anything decent to choose from? Is it pretty straightforward to follow?

The project page said we'd hear by Tuesday 14th if we were going to be included, so I just wanted to see if anyone else had heard. I've always been intrigued by this one - so hope I'll still hear next week.

ifuckarses · 16/04/2020 14:33

@ChubRubTub I've got four projects on An I'm qualified for, however have only been able to do any work on one, which is the controversial B one. Never had a link through for B*r, and I've also got My*e 2 and A**a. Lots in active processes too, guess it's just a waiting game!

Is there not always guaranteed to be work available on C**p?

Catatemyhomework · 16/04/2020 14:34

Does anyone know how long it takes the money in Payoneer to show up in your bank account once you've withdrawn it? I've just done a manual withdrawal and now it's saying I have no money in Payoneer so it's definitely gone somewhere! Just hoping it's my bank account as it's not showing there yet even under pending transactions.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 16/04/2020 14:37

@ChubRubTub its very easy if you read the guidelines. The early rounds were mostly tat but it's much better now. I've had the biggest online store starting with an A twice and a Swedish furniture shop once plus lots of smaller high end companies. It's lots of fun!

@Catatemyhomework mine takes a few hours.

Catatemyhomework · 16/04/2020 14:44

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock, thanks.
