I've been trying to work out what they'll give me back and it can't be less than half. In fact I reckon I averaged out about 7 - 8 minutes per task, so it should be over half for sure. The trouble is I don't trust them now.

@catatemyhomework but will they do the number of tasks you did x5mins or will they only pay you for the number of tasks completed in under 5mins? If it's the latter I'm screwed as I intentionally took longer - they were quite clear about telling us not to rush and that if we worked too quickly we would be kicked off.

I wrote the hours out roughly when a poster suggested to make a note, I couldn't remember but I guessed 12 and a half hrs and they've removed 13hrs.

Thanks for the answers earlier re: the C*p test. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I've squeezed through although I see it can take months before we hear anything from them regarding work.

I hope you are all paid as you are due and I'm hoping that perhaps they have just taken off the P.1 tasks to recalculate and can still process payment for your other work with P.1 payment to follow maybe?

@rhij86, I hadn't imagined them not paying us at all. I definitely spent over 5 minutes on each task. I remember roughly timing it to be between 5 and 10 as they said 5 to 10 in the guidelines and not to rush. God I hope I don't lose $200. That's a nightmare. They have to pay us 5 minutes. They can't just not pay anything for completed tasks. That's actual slavery.

Mines back in review too, I didn't even work on part 1 so mine shouldn't change. I'm so angry though.

This team are sneaky and underhanded. They knew all along that they were going to fuck people over, that's why they closed the chat and why they won't reply to any e-mails.

Totally disgusted that Appen can allow their teams to get away with this shit. It has to be illegal. They agreed on pay and timescales, they can't change their mind once the work is done.

I'm missing an hour and there is no submit button. I am fucking furious. In the middle of a fucking pandemic as well.

Would I have been better off setting it up to go to a PayPal account?

As far as I am aware the only option is to pay into Payoneer and then your bank.
I don't think you can avoid the fee but it's relatively small.

When I signed up to Payoneer there was a 'commission' of $50 once you had paid in $500. Might be worth looking around to see if there are any offers if you haven't already signed up.

I've been approved for appen but have my test for lionbridge starting Wednesday and I'm not sure what the advantages/disadvantages to both are?

Hopefully at Lionbridge they don't retrospectively change the work instructions a couple of days before payday and decide to dock your pay for work already carried out. As well as now paying late in the middle of a pandemic.

To be fair, Appen came back to me first - I also applied to both.

I was lucky and picked up an hour a day project straight away. I have also worked on other projects. A few glitches, but nothing like the current problems. I really can't recommend Appen anymore though. Dishonest and underhand doesn't even cover it.

WTF? Bane have resubmitted my invoice after taking a fair bit off. Haven't had a chance to check in with this thread yet so placemarking

My invoice is now showing approved and I haven't been paid for any of the part 1 work. Fucking hell! It's still missing 3 days of work

@Frenchdoors1, me too! I'm minus 14 hours. They can't just not pay for the whole task. I thought only getting 5 minutes was bad enough, but this is bang out of order.

Yep, mine is also very 'kindly' approved, minus the first week of work and almost $200 down. Livid.

It's terrible reading all these posts of missing time on invoice. I will be fuming as well. I recently got accepted on the B* project on Appen, still waiting for a project. Does it normally take this long and will they email me when there is a project?

Just had an email from Appen finance saying that my invoice is in the queue waiting to be paid. Yeah right. I'm 200 dollars short. I am so pissed off I think I'm going to have to go to bed. I can't believe they haven't paid for any of it. I assumed they would pay each task at 5 minutes. These people are fucking cowboys.
