So as long as you aren't doing the same project you can work lionbridge and appen at same time? I'm not keen on doing any lengthy tests atm having just failed one but will bear in mind.

MoreMoneyPlease · 29/01/2020 11:17

Thanks @Wolfff I did my first hour last night, was lovely and easy after my previous projects!

Sallycinnamum · 29/01/2020 11:29

I'm waiting for the Lionbridge tests to come through too.

I did hours of research last night as there's a ton of info about it online as well as practice tests but the pass rate is very, very low so I'm not overly confident despite the fact I've done some SEO work in the past.

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 11:36

@toastytea yes I believe that's right... I'll soon find out though (if I pass the test!)

Bemystarlord · 29/01/2020 11:45

Thanks @MoreMoneyPlease just applied. I forget to check respondent!

SNISR · 29/01/2020 11:49

@bemystarlord I'm on the F* project and yes they are recordings are so long, I don't think you can make the amount appen state. I have so many questions about this project on the payment.

@rhij86 how are you trying to access the project? It doesn't work for me on my phone. It works on my laptop, so try.

I'm just a bit concerned how I would complete the project if I'm away as I can't take the laptop everywhere. I was on another appen project which was done on the phone and it was so good. I was even able to do it on whilst on holiday. Unfortunately that project has ended for a lot of us.

suckatpickingusernames · 29/01/2020 11:49

Hi I'm new to all this and would like to earn some extra money. what would anyone suggest to get me started

Bemystarlord · 29/01/2020 11:52

@SNISR i just emailed the person who is sending guideline updates to confirm the amount as it wont be worthwhile for £2-£3 an hour!

SNISR · 29/01/2020 11:54

@justtheonethen yes I did a whole batch too and all of them were so long, took me 45 mins.

@Bemystarlord @justtheonethen @rhi86 I don't want to get into trouble with ap.pen for discussing on here so I will go on the chat section for the project and ask my questions there.

SNISR · 29/01/2020 11:57

@Bemystarlord definitely not worth £3 an hour. If it was accessible on my phone, I wouldn't mind doing it here and there as it's a very easy project, but I've been stuck to my laptop since 8am and not even been able to do many due to the lengthy clips.

Starlight2004 · 29/01/2020 12:05

I agree about the Appen an project and the pay rate. Something can't be right. Hopefully it will be adjusted.

SNISR · 29/01/2020 12:28

@Starlight2004 I hope so.

Catatemyhomework · 29/01/2020 12:42

Anyone else been paid for the Neevo Orthographic transcription work yet? I did over 400 of them, but when the task finished my dashboard said I would be only be paid for 29. I emailed them about it and they said it was a system glitch which they are working on, but that they would work my earnings out manually. I still haven't been paid. Just wondered if anyone else has.

Catatemyhomework · 29/01/2020 12:45

Also, has anyone started work on one of the "large field" projects yet? I seem to have all the guidelines and instructions but no actual work.

SNISR · 29/01/2020 12:53

@Catatemyhomework no I've not been paid for the orthographic transcription yet either. It still says active so may be we will get paid once it's finished? I stopped at 1000 as my brain was totally frazzled. 🤯

GailLondon · 29/01/2020 12:54

Im struggling to find any bugs in the UTest academy second cycle, the one done on a computer with a lottery site. Any tips gratefully received!

Lougle · 29/01/2020 12:58

@GailLondon all the test cycles are different. Have you looked at articles about finding bugs? There are some really good ones that talk about thinking about what you would expect a site to do vs what it does.

justtheonethen · 29/01/2020 12:58

@SNISR agreed. Have also gone to the chat.

themoneyshed · 29/01/2020 13:01

Fancy something FREE from Amazon!

There is no catch for this! Just a price limit but I got a £10 thermal mug so I'm happy!

Drop Phil a line if you are interested ;)

SNISR · 29/01/2020 13:09

Thank you @themoneyshed

Bemystarlord · 29/01/2020 13:12

Not been paid for the ortho trans either.

Just had an email re ano and seems like others in chat have had the same

GailLondon · 29/01/2020 13:14

@Lougle ah I see, I didn't realise they kept changing the test website for the academy ones. I've found a couple of bugs on paid cycles already, but can't find anything on this practice one yet! will have to search more after work. Thanks for the mention of the articles, I'll check them out and see if i get any inspiration

Lougle · 29/01/2020 13:41

If you can't find any new bugs, try and reproduce other people's (unless it's a cycle where they hide bugs from view). That's a good way of learning.

BertieBotts · 29/01/2020 13:44

My internet connection is driving me nutso :( I am going to miss the uTest deadline at this rate. I'm going to try and email the TTL and see if I can restart it at a later date. What a pain!!
