@justtheonethen
Ahh, I was right then.

Gosh, I can just about add up, lol.

Lougle · 31/01/2020 20:06

I can't wait to find my way to a project like that Grin

I'm even more frustrated that Lionbridge turned me down now that I've passed that hideous Rev test!

Lougle · 31/01/2020 20:24

Oooh I've just had a notification that my first payment from UTest has been paid Grin

otterses · 31/01/2020 20:36

otterses · 31/01/2020 20:37

Realising my formatting for the new thread was better in my notes than when I pasted it onto Mumsnet Grin...

bookgirl1982 · 31/01/2020 20:55

Really happy with my first month on this thread.

So far:
Prolific £21.97 paid
Neevo £3.10 paid
eBay £127 after fees and postage
Utest £5.95 paid
Ella's panel £5
Matched betting £63
Freetrade £8.35

About £20 still due from clickworker, intellizoom and prolific

Thanks for all your support, ideas and encouragement

TheMamaYo · 31/01/2020 21:12

@Bemystarlord thanks, that's great to know.

Anyone needing a free trade, I got one if you want to pm. @madasaboxofcats are you sorted with it?

madasaboxofcats · 31/01/2020 21:15

@TheMamaYo still looking for one. Can I do pm from the app? I promise to top up if you have a link Grin

TheMamaYo · 31/01/2020 21:19

@madasaboxofcats I'll send it to you now. :-)

lilmishap · 31/01/2020 21:31

Appen just paid me!!!

ButtWormHole · 31/01/2020 21:52

Hello, I would love to join in. Does a new thread get started here for Feb or do I just continue on this one?

anxiouswaiting · 31/01/2020 21:54

Finally been paid for December by Appen and got my first UTest payment too.

Lougle · 31/01/2020 21:58

Hooray for all the payments Smile

I've just had another (very tiny) test case approved, so that will be in February's total.

GachaBread · 31/01/2020 21:59

Their is a new thread guys. Otterses has posted a link a bit further down.

TheMamaYo · 31/01/2020 23:05

@buttwormhole just join in the new one!

Starlight2004 · 01/02/2020 09:28

Another freetrade link

freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=AQOO45Y33C&sender=1dNKh4WY You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s an app for investing in the stock market with no fees. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free mystery share!

LaBelleSauvage123 · 01/02/2020 11:41

Hi all. New here and interested in transcribing. Anyone work for Way With Words? I’ve passed all the tests except the audio one - have been through the training modules carefully and for the life of me can’t see what I’m doing wrong!

SimplyBlue · 01/02/2020 16:05

Hi @LaBelleSauvage123 I haven't heard of way with words. Do you have a link for that one?

I was accepted to Rev for transcription earlier this week but haven't done any work besides the practice stuff so far.

www.rev.com/freelancers

This is Rev in case you didn't know of it. I think it took about two weeks from doing the test, to hearing back.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 01/02/2020 17:42

Thanks - I might try Rev. The link for WWW is waywithwordsjobs.com/

Their audio test is fiendish though - they give you 20 short clips to transcribe, which was not a problem ( apart from one word I just couldn't make out) but don't tell you whether to put a full stop at the end if the person speaking has obviously not finished their sentence. I think that's where I might be going wrong - only got 50% ( you need 65% to pass) when I pride myself on accuracy of spelling and punctuation. Also unclear when to use ellipses - they say to use them when a speaker changes track in the middle of a sentence, but I'm wondering if I should also use them to denote pauses? I've only got one try left as I rather arrogantly tried to do the test without reading the training module first and only got 20%!

SpinneyHill · 02/02/2020 01:19

Does clickworker lead to sacking from LB and A?

pinkduckie · 02/02/2020 15:43

Wolfff · 02/02/2020 15:47

@SpinneyHill

I think the jobs on Clickworker and Appen (DK Lionbridge) are so different there is no conflict.

Illdoiteventually · 02/02/2020 22:49
