Has anyone still not been paid from Crisp?

And can I use a monese account for deposits on MB?

0htooooodles · 23/01/2020 08:17

@Boobahs you don’t choose anything on the workflow, they send you a separate way of doing the work

0htooooodles · 23/01/2020 08:18

@moneysavingmama I was paid by bank transfer on Monday. Was super excited as it’s never been that quick!

moneysavingmama · 23/01/2020 08:19

I've contacted them cause it's usually in on the 20th!

Catatemyhomework · 23/01/2020 08:27

Has anyone heard anymore from UTest RE the voice utterance cycle? I have submitted 3 reports now, most recently to say I'm signed up to Windows Insider and I have claimed a slot. Haven't actually been asking to do any speaking yet. Anyone else? Thanks.

CatHopeful · 23/01/2020 08:38

Glittersocks I need to have a tidy up too.

First to go will be Vypr which I downloaded towards the end of the summer. (app where food chains market new products/packaging, you click which desings you prefer, answer questions about what type of produces you buy etc. Once you hit 10,000 points, they automatically send £5 to your paypal).

To begin with it was great - I earned £5 within about 10 days. My next £5 took about a month. Still fine. Been checking daily since then, and still only two thirds towards my next £5 payout. Plus the in-store ones (that are worth significantly more points) never, ever work for me despite great connection etc. So, I'll cash out my next £5 and then delete the app.

I think BeMyEye might have to go too. I've only done one and it was rejected. It was one to verify if a particular road manoeuvre could be made from a certain junction (eg can you turn right here, kind of thing). It was five min walk from my home, so I went to attempt it, but the map position in the task was on the private property of a small school car park, and I didn't feel comfortable essentially trespassing. I seem to recall there were limited options to edit/scroll back or something too.

Boobahs · 23/01/2020 08:52

@0htooooodles Oh ok, thank you. I applied for 2 and now they've all disappeared. I'll just keep checking my emails, sorry for all the questions!

Whatsmyname2019 · 23/01/2020 08:52

I seem to have another Freetrade share link . Please only use if you are going to top up a £1 then we both get our free share

Yugi · 23/01/2020 09:16

@moneysavingmama I contacted them yesterday and they said they were processing my invoice then so should get paid in the next couple of days.

rhij86 · 23/01/2020 09:23

I've been invited to do an exam with Lionbridge for an Internet Safety whatsit role. Apparently I'll be given access to the exam and guidelines next weds, and I should take my time over the week to do the exam, and expect it to take about 10hours in total Shock

Anyone else done this? Does it really take that long, and is it worth it?

I've read the role is the same as Y*kon on appen (never been an option for me to apply for) which is seen as the 'coveted' job to get?

DontCallMeDarling · 23/01/2020 09:33

Glittersocks · 23/01/2020 09:56

@CatHopeful I haven’t signed up to Vypr (thought it looked a bit of a pain tbh Wink) but it sounds like it’s not quite working for you.

The BeMyEye task sounds a little odd, you shouldn’t have to go onto private property to complete it. But I’m not signed up with them either so don’t really have any ideas about it. There seem to be quite a few folk here who are with them, so they can probably help if you’re wanting to give it another chance?

Hope it all works out for you whatever you decide.

MoreMoneyPlease · 23/01/2020 09:56

Excellent idea about having a clear out. I agree that Vypr has been rubbish recently so that can go when I get to £5. Some of the web testing ones are too much hassle to keep remembering to check, I like it when I get emails to get me a task is available. MobEye and QMee haven't been great for me, they can go!

EchoLocation · 23/01/2020 10:15

I signed up for Mecca Bingo through Topcashback yesterday. Deposited £10 (covered by the cash back) and got a £30 bingo bonus and £20 slot bonus. Didn't win anything on the bingo but made £62 on the slots. Happy days!

Lougle · 23/01/2020 10:22

I got turned down by Lionbridge (no explanation) but when I applied I had an old Android phone. I have a new phone now, so do you think it's worth reapplying?

Glittersocks · 23/01/2020 10:24

@rhij86 The guidelines are about 180 pages long and need to be read several times. When you get access to the portal they’ll be training tutorials - take them. Not only are they helpful but you are monitored during this period so they know if you’ve done them or not.
The exam is a 3 part exam and open book. You have to pass the first part to reach the second and so on. All this will be explained in the info they send.

I really recommend reading about the exam on www.passleapforceexam.com

I took notes from what was written there to use alongside the guidelines, as they helped provide more clarity. This is allowed btw and is not cheating.

Also, Lionbridge acknowledge these exams are hard. It’s thought the pass rate is around 2 in 10 but no one really knows for sure. Don’t let any of this put you off, just use it to be prepared.

Good luck! Smile

rhij86 · 23/01/2020 10:30

@Lougle I don't see why not? The first thing I had to do was validate my mobile to confirm it was 'new' enough so that could well have been it.

@glittersocks - good lord haha. I'll definitely take my time, and look through that website, thank you! I'm assuming from your message you took the tests, how did you get on?

Glittersocks · 23/01/2020 10:33

@MoreMoneyPlease I agree with you, Apps that make us check in all the time for crumbs become time sinks eventually. They’re so frustrating, especially when they’ve nothing to offer for the effort of bothering with them. Really felt that about Neevo with Prolific not far behind.

Glittersocks · 23/01/2020 10:37

@rhij86 Haha I felt it was the hardest exam I’d done since Uni over 20 yrs ago, but I passed! Smile

rhij86 · 23/01/2020 10:38

@glittersocks well done! Fingers crossed I have the same success.

Glittersocks · 23/01/2020 10:43

@Lougle if you first applied to Lionbridge through their recruitment website www.thesmartcrowd.com you might have better luck reapplying through www.workmarket.com / vice versa. I think their recruitment processes work slightly differently.

ZetaPuppis · 23/01/2020 10:50

I applied to Lionbridge for some Map Analyst work. I haven’t heard back yet. Is anyone else doing this?

I’m earning a few pounds here and there with Crisp. Still trying to speed up. I’m going to do some more today.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 23/01/2020 10:53

Gah, i was so excited to start an Appen project today but there is issue after issue so i can't do it!

Re: Monese, i don't know about matched betting but i use it fine for Football Index which is basically a betting site.

MoreMoneyPlease · 23/01/2020 10:56

Agh, just missed a £7 study on Prolific! Most of mine on there have been under £1 so annoyed to just miss out. They're easy to do at work, MB not so much!

themoneyshed · 23/01/2020 11:18

@moneysavingmama

I would just use a regular UK debit card for Matched Betting. Keep it simple and you know then you will qualify for any sign up offers you do

@MoreMoneyPlease

That's why I always book Cheltenham week off work! (well I did, when I had a job lol)
