Oh well done, @Patapouf! I'm Bronze rated again with UTest after slipping down to Proven yesterday.

I hate Freetrade! I transferred £10 on 17th jan and it is still not showing and I haven't got my free share. The response from their customer service say they are looking into it with their bank. Really not impressed.

Someone asked about eBay- I do this. Mainly old clothes from the DC which I make into bundles and start them off at £3. It doesn't bother me if they sell for £3 as I usually make more from other things to balance it out. I just sold a set of Winnie the Witch books and got £11 for them which was a nice surprise. The fees are awful but I find if I can list 10-20 things at once the money does start trickling through.

Ski stuff always sells well at this time of year. I keep meaning to rummage in TK Maxx to find some nice designers. Also certain types of pottery/collectibles- you have to know what you're looking for though.

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 09:35

Eagerly (nervously!) awaiting my lionbridge guidelines and test link which I was told I'll get today... little one is staying at my parents tonight so hopefully I'll be able to make a good start on them.

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 29/01/2020 09:41

Well done @Patapouf that's great news! Grin

Bemystarlord · 29/01/2020 09:57

Is anyone else doing the appen annotations task and finding each sound is really really long! This is not going to be as quick as i expected.

TheMamaYo · 29/01/2020 10:05

:-( Feeling a bit 'oooff' today. Test - I can't find the bugs in the computer test cycle, I've spend ages on it and desperately want to move forward. Bugs I did for a test cycle was put forward to the client but got rejected as wad. At least I am a bit clearer on that now.

BemyEye pet project got rejected. :-(

Other surveys and things going soooo slow.

Lionbridge - got accepted for the social media project and heard nothing since. Don't know how to proceed now.

MB I am at least £19 up, so that's good, but it still scares the daylight out of me. Taking it very slowly!

It is lovely to read of all your success. I just need to get through this initial stage now, then I'm sure it'll get better.

Well done to those of you who are seeing progress so soon!

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 10:17

@Bemystarlord I've been accepted on to that but just get an error when I click on 'work this'. Not sure what that means :-\

Bemystarlord · 29/01/2020 10:22

@rhij86 you will get an email once they add you to the task and then the work now button will work. Sounds like they are adding a few at a time. Its been in my projects tab for ages but just got added this week.

MoreMoneyPlease · 29/01/2020 10:23

@TheMamaYo I know how you feel, some days I'm very positive, then other days not so much!

Today is a good day because I'm pleased I've got an ongoing (hopefully) Appen project at last. And as a lapsed blogger, I'm also trying to think of a blog that I can actually make money from. My last blog was more a labour of love!

I'm taking MB very slowly too, mainly because I always seem to be trying to resolve things like uploading ID to betting sites or asking where my free bets are! I dislike many of the betting sites as they're so dark and complicated so I worry about selecting the wrong thing.

But I'm making at least £300 a month more than I was before I found this thread so overall things are looking up Smile

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 10:31

@Bemystarlord ok thanks, I'll (try to) be patient! Which project are you on? Obv you can't give the full name... I only got accepted onto one of the newly listed Mea**w ones last week.

@MoreMoneyPlease well done on getting onto a long term project :)

Also about 10min after my first post this morning, the link for my lionbridge exam came through, so that's this evening sorted

themoneyshed · 29/01/2020 10:35

@TheMamaYo

What is it that is scaring you about Matched Betting? Perhaps I Can help put your mind at ease ;)

themoneyshed · 29/01/2020 10:36

btw, I'm going to have a nice opportunity for you all very soon where you can each get £10 for about 30 seconds work!

£10
to spend on anything, online or offline!

;)

MoreMoneyPlease · 29/01/2020 10:37

Thanks @rhij86 and good luck to you for the lionbridge exam. Is that the social media one? The Appen project I'm on is up to an hour a day, which isn't a lot (compared to the 'work 40 hours a week' projects before Christmas!) but it will certainly keep the wolf from the door Grin

Bemystarlord · 29/01/2020 10:38

@rhij86 its the one with a name thats similar to a woodland but bigger Grin

Good luck with the lionbridge exam, is it the big one or the sme one? I failed the big one back when i first started doing this last year, didnt put enough time and effort in so my own fault really, but passed the sme last week and started that and liking it.

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 10:40

@bemystarlord it's pretty big I think, for an internet safety evaluator role. By the sound of things it's the same job as Y*kon on appen, which I've never even seen in my jobs list so should be ok as no conflict there... fingers crossed...

Apparently it's 2 or 3 parts, the first is 31 questions, multiple choice, open book, and then after that I have to do a few example questions by the sound of things. I have a week to do it and they recommend taking as much time as possible :-\

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 10:41

@MoreMoneyPlease I'm the same - I've gone from 40hrs a week before Christmas to nothing - desperate for anything right now! It's the internet safety evaluator one on LB.

justtheonethen · 29/01/2020 10:45

@Bemystarlord I'm on the woodland Ann one. They are ridiculously long so the pay rate is shit. I'm hoping they adjust it! I have had whole batches where they are 2-4 mins 🙄

Bemystarlord · 29/01/2020 10:46

@rhij86 ooh thats supposed to be the holy grail of appen projects so fingers crossed :)

@justtheonethen i hope so as it too an hour to do 30 tasks without stopping be ause they were so long so about $2.70!! Ridiculous

Wolfff · 29/01/2020 10:48

@Moremoneyplease

I believe they reset it after 3 hours or at midnight (depending who you believe). I would do it in one home. While saying that I have done it in dribs and drabs over 3 hours but normally try and do in one sitting.

Flube · 29/01/2020 10:49

@rhij86 Good luck in the LB exam. I am also down to take it, I'm just waiting on my email for today so I can begin.

This will be my 2nd attempt as I failed first time round. 🤞

Wolfff · 29/01/2020 10:49

*one go

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 10:52

@flube - thank you, and good luck to you too!

rhij86 · 29/01/2020 10:53

@Bemystarlord yes I'd heard that too RE it being the 'holy grail ' thank you, will let you know how I get on. Not feeling hopeful but going to do my best!
