£10 a day thread, January part two

I'm so happy to see the thread has been ticking along with so many new people joining us Grin

It's been a shitty couple of weeks for me. I started out the new year with an awful sore throat, and it turns out I have glandular fever, so I've been too exhausted for any serious money making.

I'm actually really enjoying Chip! It's proving to be a great way to stash all the little bits of money from profilic etc. so I can see it actually adding up to something.

This morning I've switched bank accounts (£100 for joining, then £100 if I leave unhappy in six months) and managed to reduce my life insurance policy by £9 a month, and get £85 cashback for doing so via Quidco, so I'm trying to be productive.

Hope everyone is having a good January.

I had the voice rating task on Neevo. Did 310 then had enough.

SNISR · 17/01/2020 19:56

I would like a free trade link if anyone has one please. I always miss them.

fajita · 17/01/2020 20:11

Did the Crisp survey but only got 18/20 - wonder how many times it'll take to get to 19...!

MoreMoneyPlease · 17/01/2020 20:20

Well done @SNISR that's great going! I'm only up to 100, I totally forgot about them until this afternoon. Been trying to get my head around MB again, placed my second bet tonight (messed up first one, didn't claim free bet before it expiredConfused) and really want to follow it through this time!

Frenchdoors1 · 17/01/2020 20:23

I only did 32 of those, @SNISR*
then it said no more tasks available! It is very time consuming considering you have to write an essay out for each one.

SpinneyHill · 17/01/2020 20:27

Testable minds - Surveys but very well paid and not the usual dull topics. Lots of psychological studies, it does require Identity to be verified using Driving license or passport and before every study your webcam is used to confirm it's you.

Catatemyhomework · 17/01/2020 20:40

@SNISR, I did nearly 500 of those Neevo transcription tasks and then tonight I got the same problem as @anxiouswaiting, and the task ended and my Neevo history says that I have only done 29. Really cross about it as they took me hours and I really worked hard. I have emailed Neevo and given them the feedback. I am annoyed though as there's about 8 hours work gone into that.

SpinneyHill · 17/01/2020 20:51

Whats the usertesting voice one, is there a number?

Boobahs · 17/01/2020 20:56

I've also passed the Banner test and been accepted but there's no work yet 🙄

I filled out all of the things I needed to for the Social Media Evaluator job on Lionbridge on Weds, and had all the confirmation emails but nothing since. What's this exam that people are talking about?

Also placed my first trigger bet for MB tonight, now to find some things to place my free bets on..

Redda · 17/01/2020 21:04

Flipping heck you guys have been busy!! I haven't read the thread as I've not been working - 2020 has started brilliantly for me, I had my name down on the council/HA waiting list to leave this awful abusive situation but wasn't getting anywhere understandably being very early days and not homeless but last week I saw a brand new HA property on Rightmove and managed to apply first, I got first refusal and picked up the keys on Wednesday!! I am still in shock tbh as I was 56 on the list for a house in the next street with the Council for the same rent. I feel unbelievably Jammy and a little guilty for queue jumping but this is the best thing that could have happened to me and DS.

I have loads to do ready for the move and I have to buy carpets, cooker etc. so once I have settled in I will be back working my butt off along with the rest of you. Happy 2020 all of you Flowers

justtheonethen · 17/01/2020 21:05

@Redda that's amazing news Thanks. Good luck for the move!

MynameisJune · 17/01/2020 21:09

Just sat down and did an hour or so on C risp with two tabs properly for the first time. What a game changer, much quicker even though it's not very busy tonight.

ZetaPuppis · 17/01/2020 21:14

@MynameisJune well done. What difference did it make to your rate, if you don’t mind me asking?
Do you still have many that you’re not sure about, or are you fairly confident now?
I want to try it but am a bit ill today.

MrsWombat · 17/01/2020 21:15

freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=JASKEHWSCM&sender=xSMstDVv I have no idea if this will work or not, but it still let’s me send it so it might do.

SNISR · 17/01/2020 21:16

It says used @MrsWombat 😭

MynameisJune · 17/01/2020 21:18

@zetapuppis practically doubled my usual rate especially when it's quiet. Definitely the way forward, although i'm fairly confident now and i can't remember the last time I unsured something.

Redda · 17/01/2020 21:19

@justtheonethen thank you - I'm stressed to the max, but it will be worth it :) I can't believe how busy this thread has become, it's fantastic!

Lougle · 17/01/2020 21:20

@Redda what amazing news! Years ago, we were desperate for a safer home (private rental near a main road with a SN DD) and we got allocated a house despite finishing 3rd on the list. I still remember my shock when the woman said "I need your documents", and I said "ok, but I'm in so will get them when I get home', thinking that we were being asked for documents in case other people turned it down. Then 2 hours later she phoned and said "look, do you want this or not, because I need the documents." I remember saying 'but we finished 3rd on the list....' Enjoy it.

I spent ages applying for the ISE position on Lionbridge, then I've got a lovely reply (polite) saying that they've filled their quota so don't need it. Sad

ZetaPuppis · 17/01/2020 21:21

@MynameisJune thanks. I’m going to try it tomorrow.
I’ve noticed it’s been fairly quiet over the last few days. Well, it has been the times I’ve logged on.

MoreMoneyPlease · 17/01/2020 21:22

Well done Redda, that's great news!

ZetaPuppis · 17/01/2020 21:25

@MynameisJune do you just log in to 2 screens then? Or is there another way t to o do it?

MynameisJune · 17/01/2020 21:29

Yeah just log into 2 screens, they actually seem to tell people on Slack to do it if their queue is empty so i don't think it's anything wrong.

Redda · 17/01/2020 21:30

It is crazy - I don't really believe in 'woo' but it was the anniversaries of 3 very close family members deaths in the last 2 weeks and it feels like something not quite on this planet has intervened (I know it's a load of codswallop) It's just too surreal and unbelievably lucky and the neighbours seem lovely and HA are being so nice and asking if I need any help - I'm just not used to it. Anyway, sorry to derail - I shall be back contributing properly very soon, keep working your butts off in my absence!! Grin

SpinneyHill · 17/01/2020 21:52

@Lougle I had that email, then the next day I got an offer, but the next stage looks way too daunting for me so I turned it down.

margaritasbythesea · 17/01/2020 21:56

Really pleased for you ReddASmile
