Matched Betting

I know there have been numerous threads on this topic, but I have struggled to understand how to go about getting started. The more I read about it the more overwhelmed I become. Spreadsheets, separate bank accounts , odds, blah blah . It may as well be quantum mechanics!
I need the money for a specific reason so I need to get to grips with it all and get started. I am an intelligent person, I just need to persevere.
I would really appreciate some very basic advice. I know about OddsMonkey and other sites. I have watched the videos and understand the basic concept, but then I am lost. I don't want to make mistakes and lose money.
Help!

I'm at £185 profit since 3rd December. I'm finding the withdrawals are slowing me down but I believe PayPal can speed it up so going to try using PayPal for deposits where I can going forwards.

Ollivander84 · 28/12/2018 00:13

I've opened a separate bank account with starling purely for matched betting so I can track stuff easier
Going to look at 2ups next

Coppermine · 28/12/2018 00:26

Funnily enough I opened a starling account but switched all my everyday spending there (so I can track my various shopping and payments by categories etc) so now my HSBC account is for MB yet it's soooo slow!! I love how instant starling is. Maybe it's worth me looking at Monzo for MB instead.

Ollivander84 · 28/12/2018 00:29

I'm just hoping that it can carry on after the signups with reload offers etc

Nogoodnickname · 28/12/2018 00:32

I’ve been reading about 2ups and Accas also Ollivander. Accas have about 4 different ways of laying them but if your doing lay sequentially lock in it can take up more time with less profit but I’d rather that than completely cock up with a loss!

Coppermine I’m sure I’ve read that with most of the bookies you have to deposit with a debit/credit card otherwise if you use Skrill/PayPal or the likes then you usually don’t get the free bet or bonus!

If I’ve got it wrong what you’re saying then sorry but usually you can deposit with your debit card for a QF bet then if it wins in the bookies and they have Skrill as a withdraw method if you win there then you can withdraw it to Skrill rather than your bank account. Also I think it’s a few hours for withdrawal to Skrill rather than bank account.

Nogoodnickname · 28/12/2018 00:38

Ollivander if you look at teamprofit reload offers you will see betclub offers etc, I had about 3 from William hill in the first couple of days which earned me a tidy profit. Also Skybet do bet £25 get a free £5 bet and there is others more like this, may not seem like much but if your doing a few of these every week plus Accas and 2ups you could make a nice profit. Also do t forget the risk free casino offers too x

MissLadyM · 28/12/2018 00:40

I've been doing it for one month and made £380. I've got loads of offers still to do and haven't even started on accas etc

Coppermine · 28/12/2018 10:05

I think it's usually the first deposit that needs to be bank card but will check the details of each promotion to be sure.

Just placed a £50 free bet offer I had with William Hill which will give me a nice £37 profit! I had to do a £50 trigger bet for it.

QforCucumber · 28/12/2018 10:57

Ollivander84 I'm only 3 weeks in, only signed up to 4 bookies, starting balance £50 and as of yesterday am £400 profit. I haven't had chance to sign up to them all because ladbrokes and william hill keep sending me reload offers.
Did mess up on a Betfred one though, was bet £10 on boxing day and get a £5 free bet. Did it, but then realised afterwards it was supposed ot be a premier league game and I chose championship - bollocks! Only an £0.80p loss though so not too terrible overall.

Coppermine · 28/12/2018 12:01

Wow how have you managed that with just 4 bookies? I haven't had enough offers from them to earn that much. Are you doing price boosts / accas / 2ups etc? I've not moved on to them yet. I'm doing welcome offers then any reload offers that come through.

QforCucumber · 28/12/2018 12:11

Labrokes - wager £10 get £50 free spins on rainbow something or other, my wager £10 was at £1 spins and wonderfully one of them got me a £250 win!

I've done one Accumulator with betfred as it was one of the free bets, daren't really venture too deep into those or 2ups or casino yet as I don't wholly understand it to be honest. The remainder has been just sportsbook betting, free bets on Boxing day and the boxing last week were the ones which got me the most.

I'm with Ladbrokes, BetVictor, William Hill and Betfred and it's all been emailed offers that I've taken up (already had sky bet and coral accounts and looks like i'm not getting anything relating to offers from them at all) Nothing in at the moment so will register today with another one.

Gammeldragz · 28/12/2018 22:27

Nice win @Qforcucumber!

I'm on £1400 ish profit this month, mostly casino with a few sports bets a week for a few bet clubs and the sky price boosts which are well worth doing. I'm on £5.5k since August, which is well above what I'd expected.
I initially aimed for £10 a day but now my target is £30 a day to try for £1k a month. The idea was to save for a deposit but currently profits are going on living expenses and keeping us out of debt as DH hasn't been working for a few months. Without MB we'd be screwed!

Ollivander84 · 28/12/2018 22:29

I don't even have a clue about casino Blush

Golden0ldie · 29/12/2018 11:36

Reading this open mouthed! I’m about 6 weeks in and just £300 odd up. I’m too slow, doing something wrong, not getting loads of reload offers. Have done most of the Odds Monkey bet x get x free and some of their risk free bet new customer offers but with around 20 odd new bookie accounts, I’d love to be doing reloads on them but where do I get them? Have almost finished the Bet365 offer and am waiting for good ql prices to do two acca new customer offers.

Can anyone give me some pointers please?

Otterses · 29/12/2018 12:09

GoldenOldie £300 is still fantastic! And it's £300 you didn't have before Smile

I'm only a little way in, but the Profit accumulator site has pages of reload offers, etc. So it'll give you a list of reloads and walk you through them step by step, and you can mark them as complete when you've done them.

It may be worth a go if you're not getting much out of Oddsmonkey anymore?

Coppermine · 29/12/2018 14:00

If anyone is yet to sign up to sportpesa, they are doing a bet £50, get £50 free bet which is good. All my money is currently tied up in liability at the moment so can't do anything else just yet.

Ollivander84 · 29/12/2018 14:04

Sportpesa is on my list but I have £400 liability tied up Blush

Golden0ldie · 29/12/2018 14:13

I’ve avoided Sportspesa as they don’t grt glowijg reviews on the OM community forum posts.

MincePieMum · 29/12/2018 19:58

Right - I need to join you, I hope you don't mind! I'm about to hit a massive drop in income whilst also running out of savings I've been using to plug the gap left by the last drop in income.

I was already £600 p/m down and now it's going by about another £600 from Jan. only got enough savings to get us through another 6 weeks and then we are screwed.

Here's my plan.

Spend the next few days getting my head around it all. Read a few forums and find FB groups to join.

Do the free trial of Profit Accumulator.

Look at bonus bagging.

Place first bets on/for 1st Jan. am I right to assume more bonus bets will become available in Jan to tempt those who aren't skint? Or does it not work like retail?!

Is it possible to set up a spreadsheet and record dummy bets? Just to see if you're on the right track? Or is that way to complicated?

otterses · 29/12/2018 20:30

Profit accumulator have a 12 days for £1 rather than £17.99 a month deal mincepiemum Smile I think it's still on.

I'd really recommend heading over the money shed. There's some great ideas on there to top up your income.

Coppermine · 29/12/2018 23:31

@MincePieMum

I really like the 'matched betting free with team profit' Facebook group. From what I've read on there I don't think you need to worry whether January has extra offers or not, MB seems to be very profitable all year round, it's more about how much time and initial bank roll you can invest.

I started off with the team profit £100 to £1k in two months plan. Guides you through the very simple offers to start with and then as you get the hang of it it's easy to spot other offers you can do in addition to the sign ups.
Oh and start with the team profit videos. I found the team profit stuff the easiest to understand and digest.

Coppermine · 29/12/2018 23:33

Oh and team profit also had a profit tracker spreadsheet that you can input the numbers in before placing the bets.

ALWAYS place back bet first. I actually select my back bet but (before confirming) I also select my lay bet (without confirming). I then double check the numbers on the bet slip selections match the calculator, and once I'm happy I just click confirm on back bet and confirm on lay bet.

Ollivander84 · 02/01/2019 22:13

How's everyone getting on?

Gammeldragz · 03/01/2019 09:52

Got a free £50 in play bet with 365 this evening, which is good as I'm being hammered on casino today (£50 up yesterday though).

Coppermine · 03/01/2019 10:16

I just hit the £300 mark for the first month. Thanks to sportpesa free £50 bet. I think this means my betfair commission now goes back up to 5% but can't seem to find anywhere on their site to confirm this.
