Anti MLM/ Network marketing thread NUMBER 43!!

Spongebobette · 29/09/2018 18:17

This is the 43rd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

They're sounding a little desperate. Smile

ArbunneHun · 08/10/2018 22:36

Wow, so you have to book & pay for your own flight, send the proof and get the money only then? Plus you have to arrange & pay for your own accommodation, transfers, food & drink? Stockholm is not a cheap place to stay. That’s not much of an incentive, is it?

ArbunneHun · 08/10/2018 22:41

It’s a shit incentive. Clearly there aren’t going to be many qualifying Brits at Global Rally this year so they’ve set this up. And they’re scared that people will just take the ‘travel contribution’ and stay home, hence the clause about not handing the money over without proof they’ve actually bought a flight.

At this rate, it’ll just be Uber, Castle, Bloodsuckers and BP waving union jacks and screaming...

Whiterangey · 08/10/2018 23:12

I agree @ArbunneHun They are scared there will only be a handful of Brits, which there will be.

The last one was shocking enough, but Stockholm will be pretty embarrassing. Non top bots just can't afford to go. The top bots have taken a HUGE hit on their earnings, those lower down, the ones who were maybe getting $10k or less from the chairman's bonus but who now don't qualify won't be able to afford to pay to go.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 09/10/2018 08:17

This could apply to so many bots.

Also note the name of the Facebook page ☺️

Someone I know is top 6 world eagle in FL. What sort of income do you think she will be on? Lots of 'I'm so proud' etc on her FB page and well done comments.

ArbunneHun · 09/10/2018 09:34

What is the £ equivalent of a CC? I’ve lost track...

Spongebobette · 09/10/2018 11:45

That Stockholm 'incentive' is SHIT

OP posts:
Spongebobette · 09/10/2018 11:48

Tickets to a rally???
Nothing else??

I'm confused as to who has gone to Arizona. What was the criteria?

There seem to be quite a few UK big names who clearly are not going yet Uber's sister has just posted and tagged someone who is going who I've not heard of before. Even her fb page barely mentions FL (I had to scroll back quite a bit to find a few mentions of it).

Confused
Spongebobette · 09/10/2018 11:58

'special incentive to generate that UK buzz in Stockholm'.

ha haaaa haaaaa there'll be about 10 Brits there

Ah, ok, that explains it. I thought her husband was going too as she'd tagged him in the post. Thanks Dora .

WoogleCone · 09/10/2018 17:13

Hi everyone.

I haven't posted before but lurk from time to time. My DHs cousin has just started Younique and I've had to remove myself from her Facebook group three times before the message sank in.

I do have a question though. Usborne books. I used to be a bookseller many moons ago and sold these books which are lovely everyday. Is the usborne at home the actual publisher? Is it an MLM? An acquaintance has started and it seems fine, she's not pushy so I'm curious (not planning on doing her team or anything) but if I bought from her products I already know are good quality am I supporting a shit sandwich?

Thank you!

Paddy1234 · 09/10/2018 17:15

Castle - no posts on bizniz
Tax bill bot - not posted for ages
Others just jumping on charity bandwagon
It's nearly over for FL

Thank you @spongebobette that's really interesting. I'm surprised by what I thought were a very reputable brand.
I'll stick to getting books through ex-colleagues! I'm grateful she's not been pushy though or sent any private messages.

Now just to get DHs cousin to stop telling me how amazing her foundation is!

BangingOn · 09/10/2018 19:03

Oh dear Messiah, the U.K. not going as well for you as hoped? I’d rather spend my money on a Chinese too...

notsurewhatshappening · 09/10/2018 20:25

Thanks Dora. She's very excited about a new face mask coming out soon. Hmm no thanks I don't want to try it!

Teddy1970 · 09/10/2018 22:39

Where is Yawn finding these new victims? She seems to post everyday about a new bot joining her bizniz..

JaniceBattersby · 09/10/2018 23:59

In reply to nobody in particular Grin, it would be entirely unethical to ‘recruit’ a friend of a friend, or someone who randomly liked one of your FB posts with the offer of buying their business in a box for them, to meet your recruitment targets. I’m sure there’s nobody at all who would do that.

cozietoesie · 10/10/2018 00:20

What's that word you used? ......Un.....ethical? Grin

Ladiva1971 · 10/10/2018 00:22

………….and just as I thought Bradfordbot had found a a real job...…….

SSDGM · 10/10/2018 02:14

So that is what Cockobot has been up to. The state of the Photoshop! It just looks poor.
