Continuing the valuable discussion of 'Forever Living' and other 'MLM/commercial' cults.

Exactly Ray, she gives her turnover figure and not her net profit figure. She has no idea what net profit is and doesn't realise that it's costing her dearly to go to all these rallys, meetings, lunches, exhibitions etc..

Thanks Eyespying yes, I've been reading non-stop since the last quarter of 2015, the Merchants of Deception was particularly enlightening and frightening. Poor man.

I started reading your blog in December and lost Christmas to it!

Excellent work.

The thing that worries me most at the moment though is the name changing and name shifting that's going on. There's another one too used my one of my BOT's up-line which I can't remember but will post when I find it.

The fact that these people don't use the name of their 'business' says it all really.

Eyespying · 20/01/2016 12:29

Frostycake When I first started complaining about 'MLM' I received an unsigned letter from attorneys representing 'Amway UK Ltd.'

I was warned that copies this letter had been sent to everyone whom I had complained to in the UK (including MPs and Government Ministers).

The letter pretended that I was some sort of puerile fantasist who'd invented a pack of lies about 'Amway' just because I was involved in a financial dispute with my brother (who just happened to be involved with 'Amway').

The letter went on to say that my specific accusation that 'Amway' recruiters deliberately hid the name of the organization they represented when approaching new victims, was particularly false. The letter pointed to an 'Amway' rule which appeared to oblige all adherents to declare the 'Amway' name.

Essentially the same 'rule' has been printed by all 'MLM' racketeers, but self-evidently, it's only function has been to deceive all casual observers, because it's never been enforced.

BTW - Sorry you lost Xmas reading my Blog Frostycake, but this can be an absorbing subject. You will notice that some MN members have very wisely decided not to venture too deeply into my disturbing explanation of the 'MLM' enigma.

OP posts:
sminkypink · 20/01/2016 12:45

They really make the victim pay all of the expenses and hold all of the risk, don't they?
I mean, even the fact that the commission and bonus cheques are cheques and not even in sterling.
I insist that my foreign clients pay me in pounds sterling by either international bank transfer or paypal. I'm not carrying the cost of exchanging them. They can.

Eyespying · 20/01/2016 12:56

sminkypink - Since all the combined losses of all the millions of transient 'FLP' adherents should really be seen as the responsibility of the bosses of the 'FLP' front companies (which the insolvent adherents were temporarily under contract to), then the bosses have actually been hiding, and writing off, total net-trading losses of many billions of dollars.

'MLM' rackets remind me of the 'Enron' scandal, in which the bosses of 'Enron' hid massive and chronic trading losses for years, by creating more than 1500 apparently independent companies. In this way, the main 'Enron' company was given the appearance of massive and growing profitablity, and its shares prices were pumped.

Yes Darcey Individual Business names. i didn't realise that they weren't allowed to use the 'Forever Living' name as their own. How odd. I've just found another couple - one is 'Inspired Living' and the other is 'Freedom Living'

Yes, Eyespying I've heard of that happening with other people who try to investigate cults and rackets. The problem is that it's so embedded now that some quite important people are involved (and I don't just mean the useful idiots).

Yes, I watched the Enron film and noticed the similarities too.

Frostycake · 20/01/2016 13:57

I think it's very interesting that they can't use the name for their businesses and they don't mention the name of their products either, just 'the opportunity' and 'the business.'

In normal everyday business, you'd say something like "well in the health-care industry we..." or "WellFed Meats Ltd is a family run business..."
They don't do that.

Smoke and mirrors.

Eyespying · 20/01/2016 14:09

Frostycake I have it on very good authority that the maker of the Enron film, Alex Gibney (who also made the recent 'Scientology' film), was on the point of launching a project to make a film about 'Herbalife.'

I've also been given a plausible reason why this project fell through by someone connected to Gibney's 'Scientoloy' film and who also has been directly involved in the Pershing Square Capital investigation of 'Herbalife,' but I can't post the reason or the name of the person who gave it to me.

Botwatchers will find a mine of information here, including the names of all promoted, core 'FLP' adherents in the UK at the beginning of November 2015.

My Sil is feeling happy because she has been recognised as being a "superstar" out of 400 other bots on her mentors web-page. She said "what other company would give you recognition like this?" No "hun"!!! Its not the company who have given you this "recognition ", its your mentor, who is love bombing you. The Company dont even know you exist , you are too low down in the Pyrimid. All the little presents given out to the down liners are payed for by their up liners, not one penny comes out of Fl's pockets. That goes for all the pyrimid schemes out there.Angry

rayofhope · 22/01/2016 08:21

I'm sorry Annie I wish your sil could see outside the bubble. It all keeps them motivated to do whatever they need to within their business, even if that means buying lots of products. They like the adoration and the feeling that goes with that.

Plus if she stops performing or not getting her 4cc's her mentor won't bother with her and a lot hate the through of that.

Rudechoob · 22/01/2016 09:46

Omg ive just seen! Coop has a PA according to FB! (doesnt have its own name though, so its probably just her)

Gimlet1984 - The 'FLP' mob have really got their hooks into Emma's family, just like the 'Amway' mob did with my family. The 'MLM' virus always attacks families via the weakest members.

I wonder if there are any strong memebers of Emma's family?

OP posts:
Gimlet1984 · 23/01/2016 18:05

Eyespying I can only assume Emma's father doesn't agree with the business because she doesn't seem to mention him and he is never pictured with the family. At first glance Nicola appeared to be running a successful company as her children's toys are allegedly sold in harrods and the toy shop in London but having taken a look at her company the accounts are appalling. Either the business is struggling or she is funnelling money to forever instead.

Mum got to manager in 4 months but has now 'retired' - what a load of bull crap - they obviously bought the 120ccs needed to get her over the manager line because Emma needed another manager to get her promotion

The figures are in!!
A turn over of £1.7 Million in my second year in business!
The impact that has had on my family and families around the world is just mind blowing.
Something tells me The Lifestyle Guru Ltd is about to dwarf that in 2016.
