You are right PA, we don't send the next one on for another month.

I am ahead because jason is so speedy at sending on (thank you!) and also because 2 books have been swallowed up by cariboo.

JJ I've tried to post my book onto you this morning but it would appear my village post office lady not only can't cope with international letters but also with anything bigger than an envelope - unbelievable.

When I drive into town to collect the DC's from school I'll go to the big post office and send it to you later today.

Ours is the same Jason. (btw who on earth is Jason Isaacs, must google!)

When I post, I have to leave it there, they check with the postlady and then they tell me 3 days later how much it will cost.. and then finally post!

And they are closed on Wednesdays.

For this reason I would prefer to post within France.

I thought you WERE in France jason?

I've just googled him and still not much the wiser. I'm not good at famous people!

I am in France JJ I was just listing all the things the old lady behind the counter can't do. I stopped trying to send anything abroad with her years ago but I thought she could stick something on the scales and print a stamp off and send internally within France - obviously not.

Our post office too is closed on Wednesdays and any other day she can't be bothered to open up.

JJ I have noted that you would like to post within France, so when I get the addresses I will bear that in mind.

Sounds a bit like ours.

Mind you I am grateful for our post office which is in the local bar/tabac - previously it was a "real" post office in the next village, which was open Monday to Friday, 9-12.

Occasionally on Saturday mornings if you were lucky!

Very handy for picking up parcels, if one arrived when you were out, you had to wait for about 3 weeks to go to the post office where it was locked away!

That's a shame PA. I look forward to the book arriving.
I've always got a good stack of 'to reads' at home, so that will keep me going for this month.

Bit sheepish about my lack of input thus far to the group - no real excuse..... except the usual kids / holiday / pregnancy / husband nonsense.

Jason - Very sorry haven't posted my book on yet am struggling with the heat at 38 weeks pregnant and we have had a bereavement in the family. Should make it to the post office today.

Have been perusing my shelves for the next book. How much longer until the next round starts?!

Sorry to hear about the HC, not long to go for some good news though.

Hope everyone is enjoying wonderful sunshine!! I'm looking fairly pink!! Trying to get a headstart for a holiday in Greece at the end of the month for a friends wedding. Cant wait, but dont want to dazzle everyone with my whiteness, so soaking up some rays as much as possible. Good excuse for lack of housework, anyway.

HC don't worry, it maybe nearly 8 years ago but I remember being 9 months pregnant in the heat, it's not fun.

Actually I think the book you're sending me is JJ's and I was going to ask her very nicely if I could hang onto it till the end of the month and take it on my hols with me. So JJ can I purlease. I've posted your book on so you should get that in the next couple of days.
